Ive ate here twice in the past couple of years and both times had very different experiences. The first time, in 2009, was relatively pleasant with reasonably quick service. We sat in the bar area with four people and just ordered a handful of sandwiches and drinks --of course, everything always seems good when youve had a couple of drinks. The second time --a year later, however, was quite different. My wife and I headed to the restaurant for dinner at around 4:30pm (early bird special, right:?). Once we got there we were seated pretty quickly, and a waiter was over in a couple of minutes --which is when the fun began. We ordered pretty simplistic food and nothing too crazy. I ordered a cheeseburger with grilled onions, and asked if I could substitute the French fries for a side salad. My wife ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The side salad was served quite promptly, and after a short period the order came out. The waiter quickly dropped off the order and took-off like a rocket before we could even say "Thanks!". I received the cheeseburger, and an onion loaf? So being a polite diner, I shrugged my shoulders and just started eating the cheeseburger and picking away at this tasty looking onion loaf. 3-4 minutes later, after Id been picking away with my fingers at this tasty onion loaf, the waiter returns and tosses a small container of grilled onions on the table, says "sorry about that", picks up the tasty looking onion loaf and leaves. My wife and I looked at each other, then watched as the waiter delivered the pecked at onion loaf to another table a couple of rows over --at least I got first pickings! The Caesar salad looked alright; however, my wifes face stated otherwise after she took a bite of the chicken. Being the curious person that I am, I also tried it. Their chicken in apparently marinated, in a very thick, sweet substance. I personally like marinades; however, this was so heavy that it didnt even taste like chicken, it tasted more like candy marinated in chicken --this wasnt stated on the menu, nor did the waiter mention that the chicken had a sugary marinade to it. When it came to checkout time, we were billed for three meals instead of two, and they tacked on another $4 for the side salad which I substituted. After questioning the bill, the waiter said "Oh, we charge for side salads, we just didnt give you the fries" --it would have been nice to know that upfront! The restaurant itself has a nice clean feel to it though it is pretty dark inside. For the most part the staff --which we dealt with at least, were pretty rude and didnt really give two craps whether you enjoyed the experience or not. This visit could very well be simply a bad waiter --did I mention my drink was only filled once --when it was first delivered --I only had water? However, it was enough to ensure we do not go back anymore.

My parents eat here often. They went for dinner on a Thursday night for happy hour. We all decided to go for dinner the following Sunday happy hour. We asked the waitress about the prices and she said she wasnt sure but she would work it out. She went ahead and served our drinks and later we had another round. Dinner was great, our waitress was great, but when we received our bill we were charged full price for our drinks. We asked the waitress and she sent the manager over. He was a raging ass. He was completely rude and sarcastic to my mother. He blamed his waitstaff, going as far as to say the first waitress should probably be fired. I feel it is his responsibility to make sure his staff is well informed aboutique pricing. He did agree to give us the price we were originally told we would be charged, but I cannot believe he would treat paying customers so poorly or treat his staff with such little respect.

We tried going back again after not going since bad experience you can read below. Server only came once. Had to keep flagging people down for refills , food was cold. Wasted 75 bucks for what should have been great date night. My mistake giving them another chance I go here on a regular basis. If you get a waitress name Angela T, leave or ask for another waitress. She is horrible! Angela was rude, deliberately took her time serving us. Had to track down other workers for service. Told manager how unprofessional Angela was and he said he would look into it. Food is alway terrific. Ask for waiter Dave who is the best waiter in myrtle Beach. He is part of the reason why I like this location. I just got unlucky getting Angela the last time. She is a disgrace to the wonderful franchise and should be working in the back of a burger King. Angela does not deserve to be serving in such a fine restaurant

Restaurant and bar is upscale, lots of wood, attractive and clean. Background music is country. This was my first visit here. Service was quite good. The menu is not extensive, but has a choice of about 8 sandwiches, maybe 4 seafood choices, a couple steaks and ribs. The food was good. I felt the prices were a little on the high side, not excessively so though. I had the shrimp platter, food was served very hot temperature wise. The salad was very good. Wife had sliced roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes. She said it was OK, not as good as the last time she ate there. The potatoes vey very garlicy. This restaurant in not easy to find the entrance, It is on 17 Bypass, but you have to enter from a different street.

The food was fantastic! But, I expected that so what I was worried about was the service. Devon, our waitress, was top notch and couldn't have been better. Why? Wait staff could make money hand over fist in this vacation destination if they would just do the small things like keep your drink filled. Thankfully our waitress was wonderful. Devon, her name, kept the drinks full, didn't act like anything we asked of her was a bother and never had to be asked twice. Our table had 5 adults, 2 small kids and an infant and everyone was happy. Bonus, they automatically give the kids a little bag of cookies with their meals which for them meant fantastic dining.

We are frequent visitors of this restaurant. Weve been to both locations in Myrtle Beach and we also love the Carolina Roadhouse, which is run by the same group. The food is consistently outstanding and the prices are very reasonable, considering the portion sizes. I highly recommend the house dressing on the salad and you cant go wrong with the marinated sirloin or the prime rib. If youre ever in Charleston, SC, there is a California Dreaming there too, right on the water...a very nice view with a great meal.

Very warm, clean and inviting restaurant with attentive staff, our waiter James was very kind and friendly. Always bringing us refills before we asked, striking up a conversation, and just all around a great guy. The food was incredible, portions are large and match the pricing. Although the restaurant was a little loud, we understood it was from the high ceilings and the family atmosphere. My husband and I had a great time and will definitely be coming back!
