My daughter and I enjoyed the beginner and toddler class and then when she was moved to 2a (without me being told) I came in the first day and the girl in the room I dropped her off in had no clue where or who my daughter was. Then a teacher in 2a would always snatch my extremely upset daughter from my hands and say shell be fine and then would just walk away. Regardless its not her right to snatch my child from me. Then she started having extreme anxiety to the point she would cling to me for several hours after I picked her up from daycare (during this time she would have no problem with anyone else, just daycare). They would not put a jacket on her in very cold weather and Id pick her up and she would be shaking outside. Then they left them outside for an unreasonable amount of time in the scorching heat and she would be drenched in sweat and her skin would be so red. To top it off I was informed by a friend who worked there that there were some serious illnesses going around that the daycare was not informing parents of (scabies, staph, strep, hand foot mouth) which was given to my god daughter who also went there. My god daughter was covered in staph infection to the point her fingernails were splitting because of the swelling and rashes. The director denied everything and then after confronted about it she put up posters the next day around the daycare when six children had already been sick. If that wasnt enough they still made us pay two entire weeks of payments even when we pulled her out, because it was "policy". I saw a little girl yanked off of a short bookshelf by her arm because the teacher didnt feel like putting her tablet down. My child came home several times with multiple bite marks and without her poopy diaper being changed. I picked her up for a solid week and she had been sitting in poop each time and then we found it in her diaper and on her hands which they did not wash. Please please please do not bring your child to this unethical and unprofessional establishment. I paid $122 for three days a week and they couldnt be bothered to treat the kids with basic care. I gave them so many chances and tried to be understanding that things happen but it became too much. Dont let them do this to your children! Gateway academy in surfside needs to be shut down for good!

Gateway academy is a great school! Even know my 3 & 4 year old cry when I drop them off (first few weeks of first time schooling for my children) the staff and teachers comfort them as I leave, and when I return to pick them up, theyre happy as could be and have a great day, everyday! Very loving and caring staff, clean facility, and great curriculum and activities. Overall very impressed and happy with this school. My children love it.

I love Gateway. As a first time mom, I was terrified of sending my child to someone I didnt know but everyone at Gateway is so nice! They made me feel so comfortable and treat my child as their own.
