First off i wouldnt recommend Rinehart Realty to anyone, the rental price on the property is outrageous for some of the places they have for rent, but some are very nice...the place i had on S Anderson rd is an older house with old windows that are not sealed good no upgrade has been done but new tubs and toliet..in my 2 1/2 yr stay only 2repairs had to be done my heat went out with the temp @19degrees and it took 2 days to come fix when i called to complain i was told it could take up to 14 days they fix things on first come first serve basis...really it was freezing but i was never late on my rent a nd the asking rent was $1,175 ...the window rotten out it took 2wks to come replace the wood after several calls and i moved out on dec 6th it was put on the market for $1200 but tryn to charge me for touch up paint really thats minor wear on any home owner expense i dont have small kids but i only met the owner once around Christmas time that ask to come look at the carpet and psint too see if it was time for it to be replaced when i moved in it was pink spots in a few rooms she personally thanked me for taking good care of her home...she said it was only a few spots that needed to be touched up and the guy that was with her said they still had left over paint they used at first but think imma pay for a few minor spots...i rented a rug doctor and cleaned the carpet they said professionally shampoo it but it wasnt tha th dirty...and they said a mirror that was in there when i moved in...wasnt in there bull crap it was and charging for one blown light bulb..omg..and i was told i was gone be charged for a worned spot in the yard that her so called grass cutter parked everytime he came but me being as clever as i am i took pictures cause i was told how awful rinehart was in advance but i had to see for myself...then during me packing up for my move and getting ready for my thanksgiving meal i recieved a letter that the owner was coming to town and wanted to drop by with her carpet man it would take about 10 mins she came @5pm i had to be at work at 7pm...she had went behind rinehart back and setup appts for people to come and look thru my house while im getting dressed after the second crew i stopped her in her tracks and locked my doors and i contacted rinehart the next day they msde plenty of excuses for her she returned the next morning unannounced and i caught her ass...she hid her car behind the trees in the grass cause she knew she wasnt suppose to be there after they phoned her...when she spotted me she ran and jumped in her car and fled ...i called the police and he met me at rinehart they made excuse for her again that she was checking the heater in the well before her flight left...bull..she shouldve checked it the day before instead of trying to show the house...so beware of the these things they dont tell you before u sign that lease...im ready for a court date im not paying for no whole to be packed and other items they sayn i should im ready ...she should worry about holes in walls damage to property no minor wear of almost 3yrs...smh...please please beware different strokes for different folks...i also recieved mailed from rinehart from the people that stayed there before me ...really who does that for atleast 6months

Until we moved out of our rental property, I would have given Rinehart Property Management a bit of a higher review; but the problems weve had since moving out have been a nightmare, and from reading the other reviews here, were not the only ones who have experienced problems getting a deposit back. When we moved into a rental home in Rock Hill, the place was filthy (I had to have the carpets cleaned and remove food remnants from the cupboards, not to mention spray for bugs; the home hadnt been painted, and the 2nd bathroom floor was in such poor condition, it had to be replaced). Every time the weather changed, the air or heat didnt work right, and we had to get them patched up (in my opinion they were never properly repaired because additional service calls had to be made - and there is no after-hours number for service calls, so always pray your heat or air dont go out on the weekend). We lived in the property with one senior dog and no children. Upon moving out at the end of April, we left the home spotless; I even had the carpets professionally cleaned. Imagine our surprise when we got a letter charging us $2,275 in damages! So, in addition to keeping our $1,345 deposit, they want an additional $930 (including trying to charge us to repaint the entire house, despite the fact they could only provide a photo to my husband of one missing light bulb - for which they wanted $115 to replace - a spot in the closet where the dog had apparently rubbed against, and a place in the utility room where the W/D hoses left marks). The house hadnt been painted before we moved in. The rest of the charges are listed in detail on my complaint with the BBB. On June 28, my husband was told the charges would probably be reduced, but that the owners had to be consulted. The following week, the office called my husband to say the owners were on vacation for the 4th of July, but they would contact us the following week. Guess what? Nothing. My husband has since left two messages, both of which have gone unanswered. We have never left a place without receiving our deposit back.

Do not rent with Rinehart Realty. They dropped the ball so many times during our one year renting with them. They never fixed things, and when they did, they put a bandaid on things. They over charged for things when we moved out, including chargind us for items that we had listed on our move-in check list. There was a $35 just for cleaning the oven and cabinets. They said it was "just something thats to be expected from all tenants" even though we left the place immaculate. Funny that they charge that, because when we moved in, the oven was filthy and there were mouse droppings all over the kitchen that I cleaned up. If the last tenants had to pay that, who did the cleaning? When I asked the lady about it she said that she didnt work here then, so it was irrelevant. Sorry, but Rinehart WAS there when we signed the lease. Our move-in sheet was there before her, too, which stated that we had a dirty oven. We left it better than when we arrived and still got slapped with a horrible bill at the end of the lease. The day after we moved in, I called to report the mice problem, and no one called me back or came to fix it. We had to deal with it all on our own. Same with the ant problem. They dont want to do anything for you and then tell you that you owe for all the things that were bad when you moved in. Also, mid lease they realized that we were not on a well (even though theres a switch labeled WELL in the breaker box) and that we actually had to pay for water from the city. They tried to tell us we back-owed them for the unpaid water, when it was clearly not our fault that this happened, when it was understood in the beginning there was a well. They would not have let us have the keys if they didnt think we had all the water turned on. Do not rent from them. They are over priced and have terrible service towards tenants. However, if youre a landlord, you might want to consider going through them, since they know how to rip of tenants.
