I broke down on the road, which is always the worst kind of breaking down (because you usually get taken advantage of by seedy mechanics). The AAA tow guy (not associated gave me some comfort saying they dealt with them all the time and had no problems). This proved more than true. My rusty Ford F350 dropped the rear drive-shaft because the carrier bearing support failed. At first I thought it was just the bearing, and figured on a 3 hour plus part repair.... but it turned out to be the bearing AND the frame cross-member that it attaches too which had fractured in half because it was crumbling apart so badly and was missing big chunks that had literally fallen off. To remove that support, they had to remove the gas tank as well. Needless to say, I was expecting a monster bill and freaking out. They went out of their way to be creative and sourced parts through a local junkyard (who had to cut the cross member out of another truck) to save me money, gave me a break on the hours it took (which was a lot trying to get the rusty beast apart and back together), and took excellent care of me in pretty much every way. They could have been a little more on top of letting me know progress, but I ended up saving quite a bit of money over what it would have cost me to do it locally from home in the North East and I was actually GLAD in the end I broke down on the road... yeah, when does THAT happen?! Talk to Avery, Hell take care of you.

Avery and his crew were timely and efficient. Six months later, Ive no problem with the major repair they did on my car. I broke down in Brentwood, which is about seven hours away from where I live in Virginia. I managed to drive my car to one mechanic, but he told me he his shop was not equipped to do the work I needed. He suggested Little Shell. I used a tow truck to get the car over; it wouldnt drive anymore. Avery told me I needed a new transmission. I was worried about money, so they did what they could and ordered a used part. Since they had to wait for it to arrive, I rented a car for a week and drove back to Virginia. I set back out for Nashville while my car was still being repaired. I had to return the rental and it was the only day Id be able to pick the car up. I was terrified it wouldnt be fixed that day, Id have to spend the night or something, but it was done and waiting for me when I arrived. Avery also took the time to show me other parts of the car (its an old Subaru) that may need to be replaced. Ive never had a mechanic raise up my car, show me the underside and talk to me about it thoughtfully, especially when he knew I didnt live in the area and probably wouldnt be back. One man from the shop also drove my car to the airport, so when I dropped off my rental car, I would have it. These people are pretty nice and professional.

RUN AWAY!!!!! DOUBLE WHAT MOST MAJOR CHAINS CHARGE! Was in a hurry and did not have the luxury of checking their estimate until after they "fixed" my truck. They charged me: $44.80/each for heater hose connector vs. OReilly Auto Parts (retail) $10.99 = 407%markup $24.95/each Prestone Dex Cool vs. OReilly Auto Parts $12.99 (retail) = 192% markup $25.00 "shop supplies" WTF? shop rags?OReilly Auto Parts ($2.45 for 5) =1020% markup $196.00 labor for a job that 2 different national chain auto repair shops told me would take "about an hour" to replace both of them and that they dont know what a "shop supplies" charge could be. All told, this should have been about a $150.00 to $200.00 (on the high end) repair, not the $391.41 they charged me. When I asked the shop manager about the various charges and why so much more than the other shops I spoke to, he stuck to his guns that this was a fair price. I guess it was fair as long as he wasnt paying. Needless to say, I wont be back and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!! If you must use them, SHOP ALL ESTIMATES BEFORE AUTHORIZING WORK!!!

Not a bad place, Avery and Company are very pleasant... while they fleece you. I wasnt really paying for repairs to my high-end car, but for where the work was done --Brentwood and maybe because Im a women and hate hate, hate to see any warning lights on in my car and expressed my concerns to the L. Brothers. Would I say they took advantage of that? Well lets see, to possibly replace my Torque Converter Assembly in the transmission, they gave me a price of $3100.00 and to replace the transmission is $9800.00. I do not owe that much on the car! They are near my job and I get paying for the convenience of that, but that is unreasonable and unconscionable. Very lucky for me transmission work was done on the car (somewhere else) and the work is still under warranty. I would not say stay away, but I would say, seek another opinion if it just doesnt sound right and never let them touch your car until they give you a price...including labour.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE! I took my car here to have an oil leak fixed, the day I dropped it off I was told it would be anywhere from $250-$350. The very next day I get a phone call with a list of things that is wrong with my car, that list totaled to $3,920.61 to be exact. One of those things happened to be a new water pump, for $1,160.60, so I called Aiken Bimmer Works who told me a brand new water pump for my vehicle should not exceed $750.00. Then the head guy of the mechanic shop, Avery, proceeded to tell me that I need new brakes, for that it was going to be $1,218.77. I have put brand new brakes and rotors on my car since I have owned it and I still had the receipt, which I showed him totaled to $699.89 and when confronted his only excuse was that he didnt look at my car himself, so he didnt know. This place is the biggest joke I have ever witnessed in my life. I wouldnt let them fix my bicycle.

Avery is the man! I was in town for my neices volleyball tournament when my car overheated. I first had it towed to Pepboys. The wanted me to replace the radiator and wait 2 days for the part to come in. I didnt have 2 days and needed to get back home and to work the next day. Called AAA and they recommended Little Brothers so I had it towed there. Avery checked it out from top to bottom and said the radiator could wait until I got home. He explained what he saw and took me in the shop to show me. I was amazed at how honest and helpful he was! I took his advice and headed home and made it with no problem. The next day he even called to make sure all was well. Wow! I cant say enough about how impressed I was with the service I received. My only regret is that I dont live in Tennessee so Avery can work on my other car too.
