This place is unprofessional. Someone I know called ahead a few days to ask about the pricing for a relaxer. She was told around $60-$70. This is important because for the next few days, this person would say that she was told nothing other than it would be about $60-$70. On the day of her appointment, they tried to charge her $90 saying things like she was told on the phone "starting at $60 and up" and that because of her hair they had to use more products making it cost more. If this were the case, youd think theyd speak more clearly as to not have "misunderstandings" like that when they decide to skyrocket in price differential like that. She had only brought as much as she was told, so when she was told more, she asked to make a check, and they wouldnt let her. She told them she gets payed two days later -- if she could come back then and give the rest -- and they did not let her; she was literally stuck in this atrocious place which her family were contacting friend after relative after friend trying to help her out. You can BET she will NEVER be coming back here again. Just to make sure you did not misunderstand me, she will NEVER be coming back to this establishment -- if you can call it that -- ever again, and it is HIGHLY recommended others take heed and find a better place to take their business.

If I could give it a negative I would. Awful if you want your hair done go somewhere else. I dont know the ladys name that I had but I had a bad feeling about her and I wish I would have listened to it and left. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and It was something I had done previously (lots of highlights) I had no color in my hair at all when I went in. She glanced at the picture for less than a second then walked off. I ended up with large chunky orange streaks in my hair and she called it good. Not only did she do such a horrible job but not I have to go to another salon and get it fixed. I also always considered myself to have a pretty tough head but she was yanking and puling on my hair so bad and while drying it was slapping the brush on my head that I wanted to cry. So dont waste your time or money on this place and spend a little extra and go somewhere that will do it right the first time and actually care about the clients

I had stopped going here for awhile and when I went in last week I was completely reminded as to why I dont come here that often. Toya is rude and she talked to me like I was her child or something. She really has terrible customer service skills. She just had to be the stereotypical ghetto loud black woman. Its a darn shame too b/c she did a decent job. If I do go back it will be b/c I have no other choice. How rude are you to tell a paying customer you would kick them out the chair just because the person wants to look at their hair and see how much it has grown? She is also very aggressive when it comes to combing and blow drying hair. If you are sensitive about how your natural hair is detangled then you are gonna have an issue with her. It felt like she was ripping my hair out of its roots and that my dear is not okay.

THIS PLACE IS TERRIABLE!!! My wife has never came home upset after getting her hair done. She was talked to as if she was a child, when she asked for something to be done with her hair the beauticians friend asked her if her hair has always been orange. The beautician was very ruff combing her hair and burned her head with the blow dryer then yelled at my wife for complaining about it. After I called for an apology because my wife came home upset they said my wife was lying. But hey Don t take my word for it, go experience this mind blowing customer service for yourself

I have been going to Studio 31 every two weeks for the past 6 years. The stylist has relaxed my hair, put highlights in and cut my hair many times. I have always been pleased with the service and my hair. She is very knowledgeable all aspects of hair, color, texture etc. If you want strong healthy hair, this is the place to go!

Night on a military ball n my wifes hair came out a mess... I pulled into studio 31 and this young lady hooked my wife up on the spot. I would have to say she saved my night and made it start better then it could have been. Please come see this place for any thing. They have a heart and will take care of you.

I go there every couple of weeks and I love the service. The stylists get me in and out very quickly. the prices are very reasonable. I make think these things because my family is very close with the owner, but I still love the salon and atmosphere.

Neelam always does a beautiful job on my eyebrows along with my daughters. Will always recommend my friends to get their eyebrows threaded by her, shes the best in town!!!
