My husband and I recently purchased a 2000 F350 from David Holland. The truck was used, obviously, but appeared to be in good condition and was exactly what we were looking for. My husband was in on emergency leave from Iraq and we did the deal rather quickly due to his returning to Iraq in a few days. All was fine, for six days. I planned a visit to my parents home in MI the day after my husband left. I had my two small children and one of their friends with me and we managed to make it about half way, to Piqua, OH. The truck just stopped. After being towed to a motel I had a mechanic come and look at the truck in the parking lot, turns out the wiring harness hadnt been attached to the undercarriage properly (the truck had recently had a new transmission installed). This simple detail ended up costing me all of my savings. I had to replace two sensors, the wiring, an internal sensor in the transmission and the engine computer. The man in Ohio managed to fix it enough for me to limp the rest of the way to MI, from there it went to two shops to get the needed repairs. I spoke with David Holland on the phone and he stated that if I was at home he would "make it right himself, saving me some of the cost." When I returned home I have tried many times to contact him, to no avail. My husband has even called him twice from Iraq. The bottom line is the truck was purchased AS IS and that is fine, but in this case it gave him a good excuse not to do the right thing. He could have taken my phone calls, replied to the faxes or letter and simply told me he had no intention of doing anything. But to get no reply from him whatsoever makes me believe that he falls deeply into the stereotypical used car salesman category. He always has nice looking vehicles and they were nice enough people to work with until this came up. If you happen to stop and find something you like I strongly suggest getting an inspection done by someone that you feel is an honest and straight forward person, it may save you a lot of grief in the long run.

Our truck broke down on I-40 near Dickson, TN. We were pulling a travel trailer and needed the repair done quickly. After calling several mechanics shop and being told that they couldnt fit us in, we were referred to Holland Automotive. They agreed to do the repair immediately, even though they were busy. They got the job done quickly, and at a reasonable price. We were very pleased with their service.

Eric and John were fantastic. Our tire blew out on the way across the country and Eric made sure our car got checked out and fixed up ASAP. John, the mechanic, was super helpful and showed us everything on the car he felt could be an issue, and made sure we were informed in all of our choices regarding car work to be performed. I would highly recommend this shop!
