Ive been meaning to review Unruli for awhile. I am now a lifelong devotee of this salon due to their excellent service quality and their customer service. Jenna is my colorist and she is hands down one of the best stylists ever to touch my hair. I have been a platinum blonde for years and I experienced a lot of anxiety when I moved to Nashville and began my search for a new colorist. Taking my hair to the bright white shade that I prefer runs the risk of causing major damage if done improperly. Jenna takes the time to apply the bleach properly and uses a less harsh bleach strength to achieve my shade. This means a longer processing time, but that has never bothered her. I recently started using a blue toner to achieve a more silvery white look and Ive never been more pleased with the color of my hair. Jenna is pleasant, friendly, engaging, and her attention to detail and color experience ensures that I walk out of the salon looking and feeling like a million dollars every single time. She also does the best blow dry Ive ever had- gets everything very dry (no lingering dampness) and leaves my hair feeling bouncy and shiny. I can honestly say I would drive hours to have her do my hair. As an added bonus, the Aveda products keep my hair extremely healthy; this is particularly important when taking my color this light. I went several times to a place in Knoxville to get my hair colored and was extremely unhappy with the results. The difference between that place and Unruli is night and day. I tell all my friends they should go to Jenna for color. If I could give Unruli and Jenna 7 stars instead of 5, I totally would. Absolutely money well spent. Also, the salon is in an older home in downtown Franklin. The location and the decor lend a sense of cozy, relaxing ambience that makes coming in a real pleasure. Ive also had my hair cut by Sarah and she does a great job. Go to this salon if you want a really excellent experience.

I had my first experience at Unruli last Friday. The owner, Uli [i think thats how you spell his name!?] cut my hair. I have really long, curly hair. Its always a gamble when I get my haircut and normally I leave disappointed. You have to really know hair to be able to cut mine and make it not be too puffy or dry in the shape of the letter A. I was advised to get a Keratin treatment and I am so happy I agreed! My hair is so soft, it basically eliminated all frizz and cut my straightening time at least in half! I LOVE the cut and its perfect for wearing my hair curly or straight. My friend had Tarabella cut her hair and she was so happy as well! The salon has a very laid back environment. It was a beautiful day so they flat ironed my hair out on the porch while I was served tea and a warm muffin. All of the stylists were friendly and I would trust any of them to cut my hair. I will not go anywhere else!

Im SUPER snobby when it comes to anyone touching my hair. I usually get my haircut and colored in LA when Im out for work. Since I live here, I needed to find a salon HERE. :) I have really wavy, thick hair and it takes a certain skill set to get this mane tamed. I called Unruli on a spontaneous whim to get my hair cut off. I basically interviewed Jacki over the phone to see what her cutting style was like. She fit me in and knew exactly how to "handle" my crazy hair. They talked me out of cutting off a lot of it off and said to progressively make that decision, which I found wise. I will definitely be going back. Thanks, Jacki ---- your kindness, speed and experience paid off.

I have been coming to unruli for over 10 years and now bring my 17 year old daughter. They are great. So professional and always do such a good job for my daughter and me. Now, it is a bit expensive but my motto is you get what you pay for. If you want to be confident that your hair needs are going to be well taken care of, then come here. Sarah is great and she recently went up a level on her experience. I cannot say enough good things about this business. Oh, and my daughter loved her new young color professional. I thought she was great role model for my daughter about getting out there, getting your education, and going to work.

I have been going to Unruli for a few years now and have always had excellent service and the best cuts Ive ever received. Recently I had decided to try a Brazilian Blowout. Kaylynn who has always cut my hair performed the procedure. I was taken upstairs to a well ventilated room overlooking the calm and peaceful side street below. The procedure was relatively quick and left my hair in the best shape of my life. Its soft and maintains its shape. Kaylynn knows how to "read" my hair and cut it so that it maintains the style I want with minimal effort. I recommend all my friends to Unruli and Kaylynn......Five Stars!!

They gave me back my hair! THANK YOU, UNRULI - HIGHLY RECOMMEND After a nightmare (not used lightly) experience at another salon in Jan 2016, I had to medically treat and repair my scalp. Of course, I was very nervous to trust someone new to cut and color my hair. I read the reviews and finally went in for a consultation in Jan 2017. It took some months to gain the courage to go in, but after my appointment last week, I was so relieved! Wish I had gone in sooner. My cut and color were executed by Jamie & Bailey perfectly and I left the salon with a pep in my step and a HUGE SMILE on my face.

THE BEST! I have seen several of the stylists, and each of them have been fantastic! Most recently went to Tara and she was phenomenal. So confident, listened to exactly what I wanted, and was extremely focused on me and detailed in her work as she cut my hair--which turned out to be exactly what I wanted. The staff is wonderful, always friendly, and their prices are very reasonable. I have tried a handful of other places in Nashville throughout my time here (for convenience of those being closer to me) and have never been pleased with Unruli being my comparison. I wont go anywhere else!

Ive been going to Unruli for over two years now. Jenna is my colorist and I dont throw that term around lightly. She truly understands the science of color and pigments and how they will interact with your hair and complexion. I wouldnt trust anyone but her to color my hair. She is amazing! Uli gives incredible cuts that last longer than most because he understands hair and is truly gifted. Prior to Uli I never came out of a salon looking like the picture I brought in but Uli makes magic happen! Mix in a wonderful staff who calls you by name and its a no brainier. Unruli is amazing!

On my first visit several years ago, Uli suggested a partial keratin treatment to help tame the frizz around my face. It works beautifully and keeps daily hair styling easy. And while the haircuts he gives are a little more pricey, they are so well done that I am able to go a full 3 months without another cut, with complimentary bang trims in-between when I need it. My teenage daughter has Uli cut her hair as well and she always leaves feeling beautiful with a cut that flatters her and again, last at least 3 months before needing another cut.
