Note: this review/rating is based purely on my personal experience(s) with 1st chance Tire & Automotive located on Murfreesboro Road in La Vergne, TN. Location- 3 out of 5 - 1st chance is nestled just a short drive up the street from La Vergnes town hall making it a very popular and easy to locate shop. Downside to this is that it is too often quite heavily populated with cars and very busy in terms of client-tell (further elaboration found in Costumer Service section of review) which is of course to be expected with such a readily available location. However, this has unfortunately led to break-ins/ stolen property/ vandalisation/ and space constraints. I lucky have never had such things happen to me individually but have friends and family members whom have, regrettably had. Moreover, in the case of an individual I know whom had their work horse vehicle (packed with tools and what-not) broken into 1st Chance did take partial responsibility and compensate the individual for half of the total losses. Workmanship- 3 out of 5 - Let me start off by saying: when 1st chance gets the job done THEY GET THE JOB DONE. Their mechanics are undoubtedly skilled and professional. I can definitely see most people coming to this shop and just like clockwork, in and out with their mechanical problem(s) being happily resolved. However wait times *can* be downright deplorable. Moreover, I have personally experienced 1st chance employees avoiding certain questions, due date (time/day you can pick up finished car), and I believe even some phone calls felt rushed, ignored, and/or dismissed at times. Heres an example of my own personal experience: I was once told a certain part for a repair was proving difficult to find and was asked to wait for a call (which never came) so i did, calling periodically on my behalf to check in on their progress. After what, of course given I only have one car, felt like forever; I decided to look for this MIA part on my own, and found it on the internet the very same day! I went to the shop with the good news and was told to order the part myself and once it had arrived take it up to them for the repair. Now, if that not incompetence than I dont know/or wanna know what is. Costumer Service- 2 out 5 - If I had to use one word and one word only to review the costumer service, which unfortunately absolutely killed the validity of this particular shop for me, it would be UNPROFESSIONAL; even though the people at the front counter may seem to be nice enough, I never felt like I was around people whom had a passion for cars/engineering. Just another job to them I suppose... Im a young male (early twenties) and Ive never really felt treated with the respect I come to expect from professional/retail/businesses etc. Moreover, they always seem to be far too busy for their own good, this I feel has most likely had an impact on the costumer service Ive received from 1st Chance Tire & Automotive. Ive unfortunately have heard rumblings from friends/family that they feel as if though employment currently at 1st chance is subtly racist. I personally (as a young Hispanic male) have never felt any kind of racism or discrimination toward me from my various experiences with 1st Chance. Pricing - 2 out of 5 - As an actual car lover myself, I can do certain jobs on my own that most people probably wouldnt. That and having friends/family who are mechanics gives me a very good idea of how much repairs should be priced at. With that said I know its a business and the whole point is profit and keeping their brick and mortar location available for the convenience of those whom cant put off a day or two to go online/ watch some YouTube videos and fix things themselves. But I am one of those people and quite honestly dont see the point of anyone paying $600+ for something that could easily be learned and done at home for a literal fraction of the cost. Overall- 2.5 of out 5 - I would not recommend 1st Chance to anyone due to the information divulged in the previous sections of this review.

I recently had a horrible encounter with this company. My prescription medication was clearly stolen out of my vehicle during a tire change. I called the manager, who was the most defensive, rude, and derogatory woman that I have ever spoke with in my life. She told me that I must have made a mistake that she knew everything about her employees (so naive, no one knows everything) and that I must have made a mistake. All my intentions were was to let management know so if this was to happen to someone else there would be reports on file. She was so defensive I am led to believe that she was involved in someway with the stealing of my prescription. DO NOT GO HERE and if you do....WATCH YOUR BELONGINGS!!!! DISHONEST STAFF, AND NON-COMPLIANT MANAGEMENT!!!!!!!!!! She didnt even want to hear what I had to say, she went on a rant on how she had been a business owner for years now, which had nothing to do with my situation, the fact she thinks she knows everything about her business shows how much of an idiot she really is.

First Chance Tire of La Vergne had extremely professional service and they truly care about the customers. I left my truck with them for 2 days for Diagnosis of a engine problem. During that time they could not pin point the issue due to no codes or presentation of automotive issues. However, they did not charge me a fee but gave me addition information about the manufacture of my care and I ending up finding out the issue was a recall on my car and everything was fixed for free! Awesome Job First Chance, I will diffidently be back for more automotive needs. *Thanks @ Bryan the service engineer that helped me while I was there; He did a amazing job!

I was referred to 1st Chance by my son who really likes the work and customer service he has received each time he takes his car in. I came in to get service work done on my car and due to miss communication my wait was unusually long. After realizing what happen Chris got my car in immediately and did my oil change.Chris was very apologetic and handled the situation very professionally. Even though I offered to pay he would not charge me because of my wait. I was very impressed they would not charge me and with the great customer service and professionalism Chris provided. I know I will definitely come back. Thanks Chris!

I recently took my vehicle to get it work on to only end up with something else wrong with it. When it was brought to them my vehicle was not experiencing the problem that Im currently having with it. I took it back to them only to have them charge me again for something they thought would fix it and still the problem is not fixed.Again, I was not having this issue when I brought it to them. After speaking with a former customer of their I have decided not to return there for so many reason. I definitely wouldnt recommend any of my friends and family member to come here.
