My favorite salon/spa ever, bar none. As good, or better, than the highest-end salons in Nashville Ive been going to for years. I like it better there than Bliss in New York, honestly, b/c Im more comfortable @ Villa and was from the moment I walked in the 1st time. Cannot believe I found this place in Lebanon. The bad reviews on here are shocking to me (Im not one to write reviews) which is why Im writing this. The names mentioned are not working there anymore as far as I know - Im a customer (twice a week) and those reviews are older. Ive been going to Villa for months. So: front desk, Christina, awesome, fun, and will bend over backward to make things work for me. Massage therapists (both) are incredible and work around a serious health care problem I have. Esthetician, Daniella (sp?), funny, knowledgeable, NEVER tries to sell you stuff, and turned me on to product types to buy at Sephora, not Villa. Finally, my hairstylist, Angela is hands-down the best Ive ever had and Ive had some awfully good, well-trained stylists. Shes calm, sweet, knows what shes doing, Ive referred everyone I know to her, uses the best products, has techniques that are new to me but work great, my hair looks fabulous for days at a time after she does a simple blow-out, shes fair with pricing...just incredible. The most relaxing thing I do is go there...fix myself a cup of coffee or tea (though trust me, theyd do it for me if I let them), and just chill. If I had the time and money Id go ALL THE TIME. Have only met the owner once, but went out of my way to congratulate her on an amazing place. Blows places like Tiba in Nashville (cold and clinical) out of the water. Everyone there makes you feel welcome. (Oh, and the atmosphere is so relaxed I go in practically my p.j.s (sweats and a t-shirt) - not one of those spa/salon places where you feel like if you arent done up for practically a date youll be sneered at.) LOVE IT. Maybe the poor reviewers were psychotic or something? Who knows...

Rachel Price Beechboard beachwood however she spells it this week was the worst hair stylist i ever had. I am a real massage therapist and i know something about good salons. this one had promise but that rachel blew it into a big negative real fast. all she talked about was up sell up sell up sell. her prices were high enough. i didnt need more product or anything and when she figured that out rachel was done with me. She over-processed my hair real bad. my sandy brown i wanted was more dark blond. the color was not even. some of the foils must have been really messed up. rachel spent most her time on her cell. She had no customer service skills. none. When i didnt buy whatever she was selling she ignored me and talked to other stylists. she even stepped on my foot and the woman is way considerable and that hurt a lot. When she did talk she kept talking about her wedding. i learned that beechboard her soon to be last name was a rare name. All I wanted was a great day getting my hair done. i was in Tennessee for an event and i needed good hair. I got the worst bad hair thanks to this rachel price beechboard. shes calling herself a master stylist. not even. not even close. most other people at the salon seemed nice but not this rachel. she could not have cared less about my hair. On a 1 to 10 scale rachel as a stylist gets a big zero. is there something lower than a zero for a stylist who does uneven color and tries to get clients to buy things they dont want. i visit Lebanon Tn all the time but i am never going back to that salon. Had a wonderful massage with Cory but it was overshadowed by being able to hear people talking/laughing in the next room. When I get a massage I expect a serene environment in which to relax. The walls are paper thin and you can hear every word spoken by someone in the next room. It was a shame because the massage was so relaxing and I really needed the de-stressing. I explained to the receptionist/owner that it was really a distraction and I was not happy about it but was not offered a discount or credit towards another service. It seemed a bit odd considering I had just paid over a dollar a minute for a massage. Like I said before the massage by Cory was wonderful but the noise a definite distraction, which was out of Corys hands. The owner did say they may put up noise barriers in the future, so check before you schedule as they may have made improvements. If you require quiet and serenity for your massage go somewhere else but the other treatments they offer are great.

My heart goes out to those who had unhappy experiences at The Villa! I invite them to give it a second chance under the new management. The new owner Jackie Capps has taken every care and expense to hire new, talented team members (Rachel no longer works there) and has made changes to the facility including a new salon expansion which nearly doubles its size, spray tanning, and new innovative services, (like the Bikini wrap) that you will not find anywhere else in the Nashville area. How do I know? I am a skin care specialist there, and Ill bet you the new villa will knock your aloe-infused spa-socks off!
