I visited Tangles in Mt Juliet for the first time for highlights, color and trim. My highlights and color are just okay. The biggest disappointment was that my stylist has an assistant and I was shuffled back and forth from the stylist to the assistant while the stylist worked on the lady next to me. The stylist did my highlights and half my color and had her assistant finish the color while she started highlighting the client next to me. Then after checking on me a few times while my color processed, she had her assistant rinse my hair. She then added toner and then after a few more minutes, she had her assistant shampoo me. I then was escorted back to the stylists chair where she trimmed my hair and blew half of my head. Then told her assistant to finish the rest of my hair while she went to the client next to me to begin cutting her hair. After cutting her hair, she came back to me and then finished the blow out. By the way, because it was rushed, it also turned out to be the worst blow out I ever had. okay, not the worst but for the $195 I paid, it WAS the worst. I could have got the same results for half that price! Beware of stylist that think they are so special and great they need an assistant and they cant even give proper attention to their clients.

Having just moved to the Nashville area a few months ago coming from a great stylist who also excelled at coloring...my first try here was a devastating. After asking several people where they got there hair colored and cut they named Tangles in Mt. Juliet. Afraid and nervous after a horrific experience Donna sat with me and shared what happened and corrected a hideous color and cut. She was patient,compassionate and the end result; a great cut and color. I feel like a human being again and my hair is down and out of a ponytail hiding! We girls know when our hair is having a bad day every day its not a happy time for us. Donna is exceptional in demeanor and talented. I made an appointment for a return before I left. As for the other talented stylists there-everyone is kind and friendly as well all talented. Donna thank you for making my bad hair days happy ones again-you are fantastic. For all reading this review; this is the first time I have ever taken the time to write one and I have been coloring my hair 37 years! Thank you Donna-from Laury

Tangles is a large beautiful salon. The minute you walk in the front door you’re immediately struck by the friendly staff and ultra modern appeal. I have been going to Tangles for around half a year now, and I love it! All of the staff is so kind, professional, and organized. The atmosphere is wonderful, and they always make sure youre getting exactly what you want. (The price isnt bad, either!) Im always excited for my next haircut here! One of the best things about Tangles is that they are flexible with scheduling, which is perfect for me because of my work schedule. All of the stylists here are great. Ive had four of them cut my hair, and they all did a good job. If youre looking for an amazing stylist, though, you have to go with Dalton. He is so passionate about what he does and he does a fantastic job. He gave me the best haircut Ive ever received, and he is just fun to talk to. I recommend him one hundred percent!

I love it, Promise is awesome. I have super thick curly hair that I would never dream of letting anyone blow dry (think Mariah Carey / diva days) but she talked me into it one day and no joke she can blow dry my hair perfectly straight without even touching it with a hot iron! Amazing! I always feel good after I leave her chair and she never makes me feel bad about having so much hair! (It takes her almost twice as long to highlight mine as a normal person). Did I mention she gives the best shampoo massages ever!? I take my girls there too, they love it, and the stylists will even put a little pink or purple (washes out in one wash) "highlights" in the little girls hair for fun!

THEY WILL MESS UP YOUR HAIR!! do NOT go here! i spent waaay too much money on a horrible job/experience and cant get them to return my phone calls what so ever to get my money back. i had two shirts ruined from hair dye, the hilights were a joke, like and inch or more from my roots.. it looks like i havent had my hair done in a long time! plus everything i asked the girl, heather, to not do while cutting my hair she did anyways. i spent over a hundred dollars for a couple of horrible looking highlights that werent even the color i asked for, a horrible hair cut and for them to ruin my clothes and treat me like i shouldnt be there.

The major complaint that stuck with me when I left after getting my hair cut was that I was told before walk-ins are charged $20 something and when you ask for a particular stylist you would pay more for requesting an experienced stylist. Well I was a walk-in and request no fancy stylist but when it came to pay I was charged almost twice as much from what Ive paid before and the stylist didnt do any better job than the previous one. I brought it up and they dismissed it saying I owe higher amount. The haircut was way overpriced and Im not happy about the way they marked up the price from what I had paid before.

I hardly ever write reviews but I feel this lack of service/response merits a review. I sent a email on sunday evening for an appointment request. i waited until about 9pm on Monday and never received a response. i sent another request Monday evening around 9;30 pm or so. i never received a response to that appointment request either. why bother having a contact / appointment request form on your website if no one is going to respond. just thought others might like to know that this salon apparently doesnt need any new customers judging by their lack of response.

After living in Nashville for two years, I have NEVER found luck in the hair salon department. I felt every place I went to was overpriced and I was never happy with the end result. Today I tried Tangles. Whitney was AMAZING. She did everything exactly as I asked, and the end result was perfect! Not to mention, their prices are MUCH cheaper than what I was paying at other salons in Nashville. I am SO HAPPY I found my salon here in TN. Check it out. Youll definitely be impressed!
