My husband is retired military and i was raised in a Gov employed family. We have lived all over the world and US. We moved here about 7 months ago. Needless to say weve had countless various postal services, I have NEVER run across more incompetency, inefficiency and total disregard for service in all my years! When I voiced my concern during a phone call to them, the response to my complaint was "Ok. Whatever." We were TOLD by our postman that he runs to our house @ apx 10:30 am. Lies! Firstly IF we get our mail by noon we are lucky. Not to mention we typically only get half of it....he comes back later and puts items in that he missed/neglected to deliver the first time around. We have had several instances where its 4:30 in the afternoon before he arrives. We had a registered guaranteed letter sent to us we were expecting to receive on a Thursday and we called on Saturday trying to find it. Low and behold it was sitting on the Postmasters desk....we had to go pick it up on Monday to get it. I am doing a change of address and notifying my contacts of a new P.O. box in Columbia. Sick of it.

I have lived here for 30 years and I agree. Who ever delivers our mail doesnt seem to know how to close the mail box. Its not just mine, you can look up and down the street and see several of them open. Then if it rains before I get home from work my mail is soaked. I wish the post master from the Mt. Pleasnt office would visit the Columbia one, it always neat and organized with a selection of envelopes and boxes for packages. People that provide bad service eventually pay in the long run. Dont get me started on the garbage pick up, they leave my garbage cans in the middle of the driveway so that you cant even turn in and then you have to go to the next door neighbors yard to get the lids! Okay..finished venting.

I have lived here for 4 years now. The postal service where I am at STINKS ,you never know when except your mail.I use to recieve my mail around 12-1 then 3:30 now it might run by 4;30 or 5;00 .that is ridiculous.The town has not that LARGE,it is only a handful of people there.
