My wife and I have given Pigtails & Crewcuts several chances, a total of 6 haircuts, and are done! We have had two good haircuts, to the stylists credit. However, these people do not need to be anywhere near scissors or clippers. The side of my sons head had several hard lines cut into it with different lengths on one occasion. On another, they refunded our money because they mauled his hair so badly. On at least two occasions, the stylist has claimed to be finished without evening out the length of his hair. During his last haircut, my wife had to request the stylist to even out both sides and the back. The stylist gave my son a haircut reminiscent of the Boz from the 80s, mullet and all. Fed up, she finally left before any more damage was done and took my son to a professional to salvage his haircut. We will NEVER subject our son to their claws again.

Terrible experience and a great waste of time. We had made an appointment for 1:30. Once we arrived there was one child in front of us waiting and the 1 stylist on duty was cutting another childs hair. We said Ok, they were here first. 30 min later, the kid getting their haircut ahead of us was done and another customer with an appointment shows up, the stylist decided to skip us and take them back when we OBVIOUSLY had the earlier appt and had already been waiting 30 min!!! RIDICULOUS!!! The stylist just said to "make a complaint" as we walked out. The following Monday I called and asked to speak to the manager and I was told that there currently isnt a Manager and the the owner would call me back. Now that explains alot!! Dont waste your time with this POORLY RUN BUSINESS!

We have been to the Pigtails and Crew Cuts in Chattanooga a half a dozen times with wonderful experiences. BUT, this Murfreesboro location is horrible. The "stylist" immediately started using clippers on our 3 year old child. He started screaming and crying immediately then proceeded to have the most emotional breakdown Ive ever witnessed. So, youre stuck suffering through the experience. Words of advice to this location - NEVER use clippers first on a 3 year old unless you want to scare the s@&t out of them. Use the scissors carefully then move to the clippers at the end. The Chattanooga location does an excellent job and will only use them from here on out.

We arrived around 12:30p and was told that they were booked until 4:45p. The phone rang and the person at the front desk said just a moment and gave the person on the phone the 4:45 appointment. We will never go there again. That was extremely poor customer service. When the front desk person got off the phone she just said sorry we are really busy. That could have been handled much better. When do you help the person on the phone first when you have someone that was standing there before the phone and trying to get an appointment??

The haircuts are really good and the stylists are usually sweet, but make sure you make an appointment. Although they say that they welcome walk-ins every time we have stopped by we have been turned away. One time the doors were locked and no one was there. I found out later that the stylist had an emergency and needed to leave and they were very apologetic about it. I for sure would say MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! They really should take the walk-ins are welcome sign down!!

They were awesome! No tears from my little man who is 16 months old. We did the first haircut package (before pic in a certificate w/lock of hair & after pic that was framed) it was a great value $23. I cant remember the name of the woman who cut his hair, but she was very patient & worked quickly. We will be back to get his future cuts here.

Dont come here if your child has ethnic hair. Asked them to do a tapered side cut (edge up with only the sides cut not the rest) and even had a picture! Lady didnt know what she was doing and kept taking more and more off. Best advise, dont waste time or money here. Shouldve waited & went to an actual barber shop. Would not recommend.

Horrible!!! Took my daughter to get her hair cut here and the stylist jacked it up big time. She didnt wash or wet it before cutting. It was so uneven and looked terrible. My daughter is six and was not moving around a lot, she sat still for the lady. I had to take her to another stylist to get it fixed.

Had a great experience. My son HATES haircuts, even though he was screaming and throwing a fit they made us feel like that was normal. Kayla and Ashley worked great together while one cut his hair and the other distracted him with bubbles and trains. Thanks for being so patient.

My daughter didnt like or want to get her haircut but the first time we took her here she loved it. The girls there make her feel very special. They get her comfortable by taking to her throughout the whole process. My daughter will only get her haircut here now.

Kayla is awesome! One of my twins is very anxious in the beginning and she always takes the time to calm him down with bubbles and talks to him before getting started. My boys both have very different types of hair and she gets them both looking great each time.

Two visits, two attempts to get my 8 year old nephew a haircut, and twice we were turned away. Excuse after excuse that they had no stylists available. There wont be a 3rd visit from is.
