After interviewing a dear friend of mine, Jessie E., and determining that she was over qualified for an Administrative Assitant position, the owner, Matt, reached out to her a few months later about a newly open Operations Manager position that would better suite her skill set. Once they met again, he offered her the position on the spot and sent an offer letter for her to start on 06/05/17. She put in her two weeks notice at her current job that she has worked her way up in over the six years she spent there, trained her current assistant to step up into the Office Manager position, hired a new assistant and offered to make herself available for any questions that may arise in hopes of making the transition as smooth as possible for the company she was leaving. On 06/01/17, she received an email from Building Company No. 7 that stated "internal changes have been made and this position is no longer available," just four days before she was supposed to begin which is leaving her unemployed due to her being the gracious employee she is and making sure she filled her position at the company she was leaving. She has attempted to contact the owner via phone, text and email. She is a homeowner with a mortgage and bills that rely on her having a job to be paid. Building Company No. 7 put her in financial jeopardy by pursuing her to take a position with their company and then making an internal change which eliminated that position four days before she was supposed to begin. This is the worst case of "bad business" I have ever witnessed.

Jessie Epling is a very dear friend of mine and she was just royally screwed over by this company in Nashville (Building Company No 7) that she was going to work for. Well they have retracted her offer via email, the afternoon before her LAST day on the job at her current workplace (after she gave adequate notice, 2 weeks) and now she is needing to find a job. She has been with her current company for 4 to 5 years! This shows how dedicated that she is and that she is extremely valuable to her current company. But, unfortunately they already have her replacement so she cannot stay. This company should be ashamed of themselves! Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If they treat their employees this way, before they even start, how will they treat you? This is her(Jessie Epling) direct post: As most of you know - I have been employed as the Office Manager for a construction & restoration company for the past 6 years. I accepted an offer with an East Nashville contracting company to be their Operations Manager. There was an offer letter involved & it included a significant salary increase. I put in my 2 weeks and was scheduled to start with the new company on Monday 6/5. Today I received an email stating there were "internal changes and my position is no longer available". I have already trained my replacement at my current job & am now without employment. I am reaching out here to see if anyone knows of any work similar to what I have done & with comparable pay. (Message me for salary info). Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

This was my first project with Builder Co No. 7 and the process was great. Proactive communications, budgets, pictures along the way, great planning and execution. Really good people and a really good experience.

Matt and his team are absolutely fabulous!! In a competitive market, they make the difference and still give that small company touch. You would recommend them for any home improvement need!
