Had a great first experience with Alli Edmonson at the Brentwood location! She nailed my color and bangs look great! Ladies, if you have bangs you understand how difficult getting your bangs cut well is. The only reason Im giving 4 stars is because of their confirmation texts and emails. If you book color and cut you only get a time confirmation for the cut. This resulted in me missing my appointment time thinking my appointment was later than it actually was, and getting squeezed in a different location. It all worked out but was a stressful morning! Visited Alli Ellis for my second visit at the Green Hills location - she also did a phenomenal job! Both Allis at either location are great at cut and color. The Green Hills location is a little small and I prefer the Brentwood location but I had really great experiences with both. Alli Ellis really nailed my color and cut, and especially my bangs (the struggle is real finding a stylist thats good at them) Alli was super helpful, worked with my hair, and felt like she really wanted to make sure my experience was great and that my hair was perfect which I appreciate. The only comment I have is that she had 3 appointments during just my visit, I was a last minute booking (literally booked and came in within 2 hours) so Im not sure if its always like that or because I was squeezed in. Will be returning for sure!

I usually dont write reviews however I just loved my experience at Salon Ya Ya. I had been going to the same person for 18 years, when he retired. I did not want to go to other people in his shop so I decided to venture out. After looking at reviews and some color work from the different salons in Nashville, I settled on Ya Ya and Heather Spradlin. I explained what I was looking for. After an 30 minute consultation we settled on three different types of Highlights, cut, shine, style. I have wanted to add a bit more pizasse with my color (my stylist was not keen on this). I told Heather S. what I wanted my hair to look like. She was amazing, she did an incredible style with the cut. I just love the color. Unbelievably it is exactly what I was looking for. I have very thick hair, the last gal that cut my hair could not get one section of the back of my hair to sit well. Heather told me she could take care of that AND explained how to style the hair so it was not sticking up every which way. It has been two weeks and have washed my hair several times, styled and the cut is remarkable. I actually can roll out of bed and my hair looks great. YEA, that is what every woman wants. She is going to be my stylist from now on. I am so glad I was brave enough to try something new. Do it, you are worth it.

I love and highly recommend this salon! Kristin is my stylist and shes been working magic on my hair for the past 3 years. I knew she was legit when she gave me the perfect Bettie bangs on my fine hair (something I have been trying to achieve for a couple decades at this point, no joke). When I decided to grow the bangs out, she has cut my hair so that I havent had an awkward in-between stage. Shes worked some absolute miracles when it comes to my color - lifting out questionable at-home box dyes without further damaging my hair, and creating/maintaining my current reddish-brown with balayage that gets me LOADS of compliments (and people are always shocked to learn that its not actually natural). Plus, she totally humored me last Halloween and gave me a 90s blowout for my Scully costume :) I cant say enough good things about Kristin, or Salon Ya Ya in general.

My hair has been completely damaged because of this salon and the stylist named Maggie. My hair is super dry, lifeless and the color is horrible now. While trying to dye the gray out of my brown hair, Maggie managed to dye all of my roots midnight black. Trying to reverse this process, she then stripped the color and left me with a head of hair that looked like I had used too much sun-in (e.g. orange streaked brown hair.) The whole process was over $130 and was a complete waste of money. It has been a month since I had this experience and I do not plan to return to this salon.

Ive been to quite a few salons in Nashville and Salon Yaya is by far the top of my list. Kristin is an amazing hair colorist and stylist. I have very fine hair so I have to be really careful with any chemical treatments. She makes sure that my hair remains healthy and suggests any additional treatments to insure that. After each color and highlight service she does a Redken chemistry treatment which leaves my hair protected and healthy until my next visit. I highly recommend Kristin to anyone out there looking for a new stylist.

I have been going to Salon Ya Ya for years and I have always had an incredible experience.The staff is always professional and friendly, and stylist Kristin is extremely competent and talented. A lot of salons feel a bit stuffy, but Salon Ya Ya is relaxed and welcoming while still maintaining an entirely knowledgeable, fashion forward, and well-executed approach to their cuts and color. I am 29 years old and my mother, who is in her sixties, also started going and LOVES Kristin as well. I would highly recommend Salon Ya Ya.

SO happy I decided to try Salon Ya Ya! It was the first time getting a haircut since I moved to Nashville. I was nervous because I had always gone to the same lady, but Celia at the Green Hills location did an amazing job. She clearly explained everything that she would be doing and showed me exact pricing so I wasnt surprised in the end. She also gave me great tips on how to manage my crazy curls. I hope to become a regular at this salon.

I adore Celia at Salon Ya Ya. When I originally came to her, I had jetblack virgin hair. She took her time building me up to blonde. She never rushed anything, and because of that I didnt have to deal with breakage or fried hair. Each time I visit the salon I leave feeling amazing and recharged with confidence. The staff is so genuine and nice and they really do cater to your every need. Go to Celia for bayalage! Shes truly gifted.

I went to this salon for the first time and ended up with a cut that wasnt quite laying right. I went back in a couple weeks later and they not only fixed the cut but gave me a wash and a blowout...all complimentary. It may not have gone perfectly the first time around, but they did everything to make it right. The price was very reasonable and everyone there was friendly and helpful. Ill give it another try next time I need a cut.

Brennan is amazing!!! I came in for a cut and color and she really listened to everything I said as to what I wanted. My hair came out beautifully!!! Pricing was just right, the salon was clean, and the coffee was great. Brennan and I laughed and had great conversation for the 3 hours I was there. I already set up my next appointment with her! I highly recommend her and this salon.
