My family and I (all 7 of us) were on a vacation road trip from St. Louis to Orlando. While on the interstate near Nashville, in a construction zone, we were driven off the road and into the cones by a reckless driver. A safety cone became lodged under the van and ripped the lower coolant hose. This caused all coolant to leak out, and the van to quickly overheat and be un-drivable for more than a minute. All this happened at 3 a.m. After several hours of being stuck on the side of the road, and in talking with the insurance people to try and negotiate options, we finally decided to go to the shop recommended by insurance, but didnt wait for the tow. We babied the van to the Service King location in downtown Nashville. The initial news was that it could take a few days to repair, likely couldnt be looked at until later in the day, and may cost a significant amount. We were distraught, on the verge of cancelling the vacation, and trying to figure out a rental car in order to drive home. Blake the mechanic arrived for his shift that day and agreed to look at the van first thing and let us know. He determined that only the hose required repair, and likely no other repair was needed to get it back on the road. Blake fixed the van in less than two hours, replacing the hose, a hose clamp, and running new coolant through. The best part though, was that Service King made the repairs for no charge. Blake said he was paying it forward and hoped we could continue our vacation and enjoy Orlando. My wife and I both became emotional, and were overwhelmed by the relief and gratitude we felt. We are beyond thankful to Blake and to Service King for helping us in a time of distress. We will always remember the hospitality we were shown.

Service King in Downtown Nashville are staffed with horrible, rude, and just plain awful people, some of who will actually assault you! I went there to inquire about the work they did on a vehicle and how they drastically overcharged; but I was met with nasty attitudes and zero answers. After one gentlemen very smugly explained that he was not going to do anything to help, a Service King employee (whos name Ill leave out due to a pending investigation) laughed in my face and as he approached me to leave the room he shoved me and told me to "get out of his way!" I demanded to speak to a supervisor but that didnt happen! The supervisor did not come out until after I called their corporate office. Another thing that concerns me is that Geico is owned by the Berkshire Hathaway Co. and Service King is owned by The Carlyle Group, which are both owned by the same corporation (Warren Buffet). Something seems wrong there! What company openly allows their employees to insult, laugh at, and assault civilians in their establishment? Oh, I can answer that! Service King in Downtown Nashville.

So, I went to this Service King because my insurance company advised me that an adjustor was available immediately and work could begin as soon as possible for what my dealership had already given me an estimate on (and what should have been a one-day job for damage caused by a pot hole on Charlotte Pike). Oddly enough, the mechanic at this location found NO damage at the proper location, but did diagnose worn out brakes (that are only a year old), and damage at the wrong location. He also did an alignment that I did NOT authorize and was not needed (and his report states this - "Shop inspected and did the wheel alignment. Alignment was not out.") Yet they charged me $76.42 for this fine bit of "service." Im not quite sure where my "adjustor" was in all this, but I can tell you where he wasnt - looking at my car - thats for sure. Stay away from this Service King. If I could give it negative stars, I would. And yes, I can prove where the damage actually is (I have my actual estimate that pre-dates the Service King), and I can prove what caused it.

This is the worst repair shop Ive ever had to deal with, they promise they will deliver things and promise excellent work and they do not deliver. My truck was given back to me in there show room where the light is not the greatest and it was dark outside I except the truck and drive it home. The next day I see my truck in the sun light and to put it nicely it was not the best looking paint job. Im pretty sure I could have done a better job in my garage with a spray can. I mean come on holes in the paint trash in the paint and over spray on step rail of my truck. If this is what they call excellent then I fear the worse. They say they stand behind there work and they give 100% satisfaction guarantee. yeah If its not right then you have to arrange getting your car dropped off and you have to find a ride to work and back home while they fix there mistakes. I wish I would have had my insurance fix my truck instead of letting GEICO talk me into giving them a try. SERVICE KINGS are known for doing horrible work and they lived up to there reputation.

Ive had to bring my vehicle back 4 times now. The only time that they had it done on schedule was the original pick up date, when the did a shotty job... Overspray in several places, parts installed incorrectly, and short cuts instead of fixing the problem properly the first time. The service rep Ive had to deal with, Keith Bobinger, has been terrible. I will call and leave voice mails multiple days in a row, send text messages and e-mails with no response whatsoever. The only way to get a hold of him has been to show up to the shop and hunt him down, which I have had to do on several occasions. All I get is excuse after excuse when its not done properly or on schedule. Beware trusting them with your vehicle.

The Service King at the downtown location did an excellent job and getting my car back to the condition it was before my accident. The collision messed up my exhaust system which was replaced at another location. After getting my car back, a day later, the check engine light came back on. I didnt want to take it back to the other location due to my experience so I called the downtown location and they took care of me. They checked the car out and ordered the part. They called me to bring the car back and replaced it. Now the light has went off and I can take through emissions. The staff downtown are very friendly and helpful.
