I HAVE BEEN GOING TO SMART STYLE FOR YEARS AND NOT ONCE HAVE I HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE UNTIL NOW. I WENT TO THE LOCATION AT NOLENSVILLE AND OLD HICKORY AND SAW ANNIE. I WENT FOR TONYA BUT UNFORTUNATELY SHE WAS OFF. TONYA AND EVERYONE ELSE THERE IS GREAT BUT ANNIE IS NOT. I WENT IN FOR HER TO DYE MY HAIR ALL BLACK. HAIR COLOR IS ONLY LIKE $45- $49 WHICH I KNEW. I GOT MY ENDS TRIMMED WHICH WAS $15. WHEN CHECKING OUT I WAA CHARGED $101. I SAID THATS A BIT MUCH. NO OFFENSE, BUT HAD I KNOWN THAT I COULDVE WENT TO GREENHILLS. I CHECKED WITH OTHER SMART STYLES AND THEY EACH TOLD ME SHE OVERCHARGED ME AND SHOULDVE EXPLAINED BEFOREHAND WHY IT WOULD BE SO MUCH. THEY ALSO TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD 15% OFF NOW AND SHE DIDNT GIVE ME THAT EITHER. I WENT BACK AND INFORMED HER OF THIS ALL, AND SHE SAID OOOPPS I FORGOT ABOUT THE 15%, YOU WILL GET THAT, BUT IT HAS TO BE MAILED FROM CORPORATE.. WTH. ALSO, I PUT DOUBLE THE COLOR ON YOUR HAIR AND THATS WHY YOU GOT CHARGED DOUBLE. OK..!! SO YOU TOLD ME YOUVE BEEN DOING HAIR FOR OVER 10 YEARS.., AND HOW ON THIS EARTH AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THIS IF YOU DONT TELL ME THIS OR COMMUNICATE THIS WITH ME. YOURE SUPPOSED TO LET ME KNOW. SHE TOLD ME NO , IM SUPPOSED TO ASK. I ASKED FOR COLOR, HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW TO ASK ... OH!! ARE YOU GOING TO MIX EXTRA COLOR TO COLOR MY HAIR BLACK DUMMY. OH AND SHE ALSO SAID SHE COULDNT STYLE MY KIND OF HAIR. IM BIRACIAL, THAT I WOULD NEED TO SEE TONYA. SHS TOLD ME THIS ON AN APPOINTMENT I HAD WITH TONYA BEFORE THIS SERVIVE. I ASKED FOR A REGIONAL MANAGER AND SHE NEVER CALLED AND I WAS TOLD SHE WASNT GOING TO AND I WOULDNT GET HALF MY MONEY BACK AND WOULD HAVE TO CALL CORPORATE. DO NOT GO HERE TO SEE ANNIE. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS LOCATION BECAUSE OF HER.

My wife came in around 7:15pm, asked how long they stayed open and wad told 9pm.. 2 hours later, and after receiving attitude from the employee how signing in which my mother in law did so for my son. The employee had a issue with that apparently and said she didnt know we wanted a hair cut at all. Never once were we told directly to sign in. Its not the customers need to know the policies, its the employee that had to inform the customer of any policies. Never argue with the customer, for they are always RIGHT! Never got a friendly greeting, just ignored until we finally addressed the issue on rather or not was she was going to cut the hair. The employee even implicated that my wife was going top do something because she removed a ball cap off her had which was my sons, who was getting his hair done. This is the worse place to come if your looking for friendly and helpful stylist who love there job and care about REAL customer service.

I dont usually write reviews but had write one for this salon. I have very thick, kinky/curly natural hair, and April was able to give me a sleek, straight style and haircut. As another reviewer said, shes all about healthy hair and answered my questions/gave advice for natural hair care. My straight style lasted even during my graduation, which was outside for nearly 3 hours in Nashville humidity. I know Walmart salons sometimes get a bad rap simply for being in Walmart, but I had a great experience at this salon and the price was reasonable as well!

Worse even. I went it for my hair to get colored and a cut and she literally fried my hair, left bald spots and cut half of it off. I had to pay 230 to get I corrected and go in for treatment once a week to new stylist. Complaint with corporate and it was a waste of time. They might be used to the complaint so a new onemail ment nothing. Do I recommend??.... yes I do.... I recommend for you to stay away!!!!

Tried to call and make an appointment and find out what time they closed. The woman yelled at me because I asked her to repeat herself, she had me on speakerphone and I couldnt understand what she was saying, she screamed back that she had color in her hands. I cant believe this is the kind of costumer service you offer! Will never step foot into a place that treats costumers like these just over the phone!

My experience was way better than what I had expected since I wasnt too sure about it because it was in Walmart. April was really friendly and asked how I took care of my hair & gave me tips on it too, I wanted a different look so I decided to cut my hair short & she did a great job! I love my hair!

I go there often and all the women are good at what they do I dont think twice when I have to get my hair done and there process are reasonable.
