I think the review should actually be about 3.5 stars, but I cant give them the benefit of the doubt until I see how the claims process works out. I made a long distance move with Condor. The initial process with Condor was great, I had a great experience scheduling my move and getting the estimate. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. I have never made a move like this, so being oblivious to the entire thing, I was very pleased with their help. The day of pick up, the crew showed up as scheduled and went right to work. The entire crew was professional and every item or box was wrapped and accounted for flawlessly. I was surprised by the amount of organization that a moving crew could have and would give this crew and the customer service reps all 5 stars. Unfortunately the issues happened once the crew took my items. Regardless of how great the service and organization of the Texas crew was the contractors that they hired to bring my items to Virginia were absolutely horrible. I have multiple broken and damaged items, each of them large items that were packaged very well by the Condor staff in Texas. (I know this because I personally saw all of these large items get wrapped in the blankets and packed on the truck.) The damaged items included a completely demolished $3,800 refrigerator that I saw the Texas crew take apart and wrap piece by piece since it did not fit through the doorway. However, even as I protested, the contractors in Virginia put the fridge back together in the driveway and proceeded to try to shove it through my new doorway. They didnt succeed in getting it through. They did however succeed in damaging every single panel of the fridge causing $2300 in damage to the fridge, and an additional $500 damage to the walls and floor of my brand new, straight from the builder house. This was just the beginning of the items that were in perfect condition when condor Texas wrapped them, and ended up in horrible condition when the Virginia contractor was through with them. There was no organization, no checking items off of my Bill of Lading, only throwing items on my hardwood floors and shoving them in corners damaging walls as they go. I asked the foreman of the group several times to stop putting things on the wall because he was scratching them and he actually had the nerve to tell me that the scratches were already there. (Even though the builder and I walked the house the day before and had all touch ups fixed.) The unprofessionalism only continued. At one point I noticed a chair that wasnt mine. I took it back to the foreman and informed him that it wasnt mine. He said okay and put it back on his truck. 15 minutes later the chair was again in my house. I again brought it back to the foreman. Then as they were finally leaving my house after arguing with me and pressuring me for over half an hour to sign that there were no damaged or broken items on the Bill of Lading (with I refused and crossed out). I saw the foreman walk the chair up and put it in my garage prior to driving off. Horrible. For anyone in the route from TX to VA, if your missing a black chair, and moved in Aug. of this year, next time your in VA let me know and Ill get it to you. As soon as they left I called Condor and informed them of the issues. I was looped in with a manager who told me that he would make it right. I was told to get estimates for the damage to the walls and floor and send them to him and he stuck by his word. I received a refund for the estimated wall repairs and he informed me that the contractor is no longer hauling for Condor. I am still dancing around the Claims process due to the complexity of their MyMoveClaim insurance, but I am hopeful that his promise to make it right will be true again. We will see. I have a hard time rating Condor because of two vastly different experiences. I will say without a doubt if you are lucky enough to use Condor staff for both pick up and delivery everything will be perfect. As for their contractors, I hope they have found better ones.

I am giving a 1 like other reviewers herein because a ... - 0... is not given as an option! I have moved several times over my lifetime... and this is absolutely the worst move of them all with the worst company of them all! It is totally impossible to describe the Nightmare this company put us through in this short review. So I will summarize: 1) They totally lied about the price and charged us thousands more once they had control of our belongings on their truck! Extortion! 2) I put a deposit on a dedicated truck for our belongings approx. a month ahead of time and was assured/promised over and over again by Maj Masari who was their sales manager at the time that we would have the sole use of a truck for our belongings as we had a large household. The day the truck was to arrive it had 2 other households belongings on it and large amounts of trash from the other households... there was no room on the truck they sent for our household. All plans and commitments on the move had of course been made to other people... so they really had us behind the 8 ball in a desperate situation. Instead of sending another truck... they off loaded the other 2 customers households on to our lawn and the driveway and the front street... I have pictures! The neighbors could not believe what they were witnessing! 2) I caught them lying on the weight of the belongings in the truck and over charging us... by demanding a second empty truck weighing on the delivery end! 3) We now have missing items and we have other peoples belongings at the new end which means those low-life louses off loaded our belongings somewhere else before delivering it to us, also all our furniture is covered with dirt and water spots on the bottom half. Also our furniture some very expensive pieces are devastatingly damaged! I have pictures! 4) Their representatives were down right liars... and upon confrontation with them regarding their deplorable service they were cruel and sadistically mean, in trying to deal with them... and the head man caused me to have a heart attack in fighting viciously with me on the phone while damaging my belongings! I have witnesses! There is much more to this story of lies and devastation done to us by Condor too much to put here... any one saying anything good about Condor is in all probability a Condor Shill! The negative commentaries match what happened to us... only ours was much worse! We are filing complaints against them with the PUC and every other consumer protection agency available as well as the Atty. Generals Office of Consumer Protection in Dallas Texas... we will be filing suit against these filthy abusive crooks! IF THEY ABUSED YOU FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE PUC... FILE SUIT... FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE IN DALLAS TEXAS... CONSUMER PROTECTION DIVISION... AND GET THESS CROOKS OUT OF BUISNESS ONCE AND FOR ALL AND STOP THEM FROM HURTING OTHERS!!!

This was my first big truck move, so I was a novice who made the mistake of asking for an online quote. The next day my phone started ringing and it didnt stop for weeks. I quickly learned that moving companies are very persistent, competitive, and in some cases deceptive. Sandy at Condor was one of many helpful reps who gave me tips on how to select the right moving company and avoid disasters. She gradually won me over and when the time was right, she sent Emit to appraise my load and give me a binding quote. My family had lived in the same Dallas home for 21 years so I was still in the process of downsizing when he did the estimate. I was concerned that the estimate would skew high because it would be hard to sort out what was actually being moved. He calculated my load at 10,000 pounds and was only off by 350. He also made extremely accurate predictions about the type and number of boxes I needed. After meeting him, I was convinced that this was the company I wanted to work with. Sandy, Emit, and Jesse walked me through the next part of the process and on moving day a crew arrived in a 26 truck to tape and inventory my load until the eighteen wheeler arrived. Four men worked inside the house and two more packed the big truck. This crew absolutely blew me away. They were friendly, helpful, and the way they expertly handled the dollies loaded with heavy items was very impressive. They even took the time to help a family that had purchased my refrigerator take the handles off and load the unit onto their truck. This crew got me through the grueling process and made sure that everything was in order before they left. The scheduling on the receiving end was timed perfectly and Emit called to check on me that morning. He was concerned that I might not have gotten the cashiers check and since it was MLK Day, the banks were closed. I didnt have the check in hand, so rather than delay my delivery he worked out a payment option that solved the problem. The driver managed to negotiate the streets of San Francisco to bring the eighteen wheeler to my front door - which saved my family 1200.00 in shuttle costs, wear and tear on my load, and kept the moving time manageable. I was a little dismayed that there were only two men to do the job that four had done in Dallas, but they did it! Once again, they were wonderful people and I am in awe of the strength and stamina they displayed. Ive taken the time to write a detailed review, because I know how important reading about other peoples experiences were for me when making such an important decision. My experience was wonderful, happy, and carried a lot less stress because of the way Condor treated me, my family, and our belongings!
