This company is top notch in every aspect! I had previously read many reviews for a variety of movers in the DFW area. Olde World had favorable reviews and excellent BBB ratings. Deciding to use their services was definitely the best choice that could have been made. The owner came to our home and did an estimate based on the weight and volume of items to be moved. There were also fragile items (glass tops for furniture, pictures, mirrors, lamps, etc.) that we wanted to be packed and wrapped. The bid was very reasonably priced. The crew arrived morning of move and first made an inventory of each and every item. This is something that can be requested if desired. They worked quickly and professionally to wrap, load and pack the entire four bedroom household. We had boxed most of the items already and they then carefully wrapped and taped the more fragile things. The crew was dressed nicely, and they were clean, amiable, and very responsive to our every concern. Each man went above the call of duty to insure our items were treated with respect and care. I felt that a smaller moving company would be preferable to the "big box" companies after reading some of those unfavorable reviews. I definitely was not disappointed in the ultimate decision to select Olde World. This move was almost 200 miles. After loading and transport, the crew spent the evening in a motel in the destination city, The next morning they unloaded the truck. This part of the move went very quickly and they placed the furniture, rugs, etc. in the desired location and removed and took with them all of the packing material. There were NO items broken, no boxes crushed, and nothing missing. Dont be hesitant to contact them if you are not in the immediate FW area. We were in an eastern suburb of Dallas and everything was perfect!

Since theyre the closest to me, I decided to give them a call. I asked very simple questions about their rates and what was included. The guy that answered the call came off as extremely rude. I will admit that I politely asked him to repeat a few things because of his accent and fast talking. Frank (the name I THINK I heard), quickly became annoyed and was very short with his answers. It was almost as if answering my questions became an extreme chore that physically pained him. There was a certain point where he just kept repeating the same thing after I asked him different questions. I was told that they require a 2 hour minimum and that my rate would be $210 plus a fuel charge of $55. I wanted to be clear that I had bedroom furniture that needed to be taken apart and put together in my new apartment, and wanted to know if there were any additional fees. He just kept saying "2 hours, 2 hours, if we take longer, well charge you more. Everything in 2 hours is the same price." This is my very first time using a moving company, I just wanted to know what "everything actually included. Frank, dont yell "EVERYTHING" in my ear without explaining what "EVERYTHING" is. The last thing I want is some mystery charge because "everything" didnt really mean "everything". He was also reluctant to give me his name for some reason. However if "Frank" is truly his name, maybe this company shouldnt give him incoming call duty. I dont think he likes it. Im from Florida, Ive heard every accent under the sun, but I could barely understand this guy for some reason. Frank, if that was an accent I heard (it didnt sound southern) be mindful that it may be a bit difficult to understand you over the phone. Anyway, Franks phone etiquette is atrocious.

My fiance and I decided to use Olde World Movers because we were sick and tired of moving everything ourselves. We are beyond satisfied with our decision to go with Olde World Movers. Matt, Don, and Dean showed up exactly on time. They were very courteous to me and my fiance and we gave them a quick tour to let them know what needed to be moved. We were moving from a three bedroom house to a large one bedroom apartment. They were extremely quick, efficient and very gentle with our belongings. Each piece of furniture was wrapped in a moving blanket. There was no damage to any of our belongings. We even asked them to move a very heavy piece of furniture at the last minute and they were happy to oblige! It only took them 3.5 hours TOTAL to 1) pack all of our belongings, 2) Drive from Fort Worth to Coppell and 3) Unload all of our belongings and take them up to the 2nd story 4) Re-assemble the bed and hook up the washer/dryer. You will not be disappointed in your decision to go with this company. Their prices are very competitive and well worth the extra few bucks to get this fantastic customer service!

I explained when I scheduled that this was the only option for the time frame we are working with to do this move. We called this company because we needed a professional service to get us out of our apartment on time. We were told they had a morning move in Lewisville at 9am and would do ours shortly after, calling us between 12-2pm. It is now 2:35. No call no show. That is an exceptionally AWFUL thing to do. Moving is stressful enough without having to find a last minute service because the folks you HAD scheduled bailed on you. What could have fixed this? One phone call. One. A 2 minute call saying "oh hey, sorry- we are taking longer than expected on this job." Or: "oh hey, sorry- we are stuck in the nightmare of OU vs. UT traffic." Not even a word. Will never recommend. Will never hire again.

Our calltaker was Sarah and she was very pleasant. The total time to plan the move took about 10 minutes. Chad and Justin were our movers. They made things very easy, stress free, and they were careful with our belongings. We had them move stuff from two different locations (house and a storage unit) and bring them into a 3rd floor apartment. They were on time and brought a giant stage truck ready to move everything and anything. We forgot to wrap some large appliances and they had blankets and saran wrap for anything needing to be wrapped. Unfortunately I didnt realize it was going to snow the day they were coming to move and they had no problem with it. Overall they were great and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to move out.

Hands down...best movers I ever used!! I am so busy right now putting stuff up but I wanted to take a minute to say what an easy move this was thanks to Olde World Movers. Erik and Sara were informative on the phone and guys were super sweet, thoughtful and polite. They asked me all the important questions and made sure all of my furniture, etc. was well taken care of using the shrink wrap and quilts even to make sure they didnt get dirt in the house. I would recommend this company to anyone going through a very detailed move. The guys are super strong and they even put the furniture back together AND exactly where I wanted it. What a relief it was to not have to worry about that part of moving to a new city and place.

OWMs assisted us in packing and moving to a downsized home. Marian, Johnnie, and Parker were a pleasure to work with in providing packing assistance. Then the next day, Nathan and his crew of Chris, Christian, John, Parker, and Ben did a great job of moving us out of our large home into our new downsized home, all in one day. They were friendly, personable, and professional. They did anything we requested and met all challenges and issues the move presented. They worked from 10am ( delayed an hour by a major accident on 121 from FW to Frisco but called to let us know) to 7:30 pm, stopping only 30 minutes for lunch. I would recommend OWM and Erichs Company and people to anyone moving in the DFW area.
