Just moved to SOUTH south south Austin, the taxi costs me 30 bucks to get to them - TOTALLY WORTH EVERY PENNY! They really help you out when its extremely emergent - if you live close sometimes they offer shuttling (like I said though, extremely south). I just moved here and Im a younger girl so many mechanics really try to screw me over - called many places for a quote on INSPECTING my leaking fuel - just telling me where the leak is, what Im gonna have to do to fix it, who knows, I might be able to - I can change oil amirite? Quotes ranged from 89 (its 90 jeeze - groovy automotive) 40 (jah love) dude said anywhere between 35 and 60 (HOW IS THAT A QUOTE at Jimmys automotive) no quote OR callback from an honest mechanic. I really drained my resources finding these guys but it was worth the time and effort - as soon as I got on the phone - Mike offered me a deal NO company could beat (wont tell you what it was bc they have to stay open) he could hear my despair and told me to bring it up immediately for my safety. These guys really care - they know their stuff and theyre really funny as hell! Oh! And my car had a factory recall on it so they do every inch of research I know of and will get you the BEST deal they can - they really work for you1 Im going back today to pick up my car to take it to CHEVY but I will DEFINENTELY be coming here again! Inspections, oil changes, they have my loyalty in ONE trip!!!! Thanks to all the comments below 2 because I was double checking reps on google for inspection phone numbers and they really show how great these guys are!!

Winn and his team offer great service in a respectable amount of time. Their prices are comparable and they never put pressure on you to make additional repairs. If they do catch something extra, theyll show you the issue and discuss a recommended time frame, if any, of when to make the fix. For example, they pointed out that my tires were in need of replacement and recommended I make the repair in the next month or so. (I, of course, waited and found myself with a flat about a month later.) Arbor values repeat business and because of that, they are anxious to know their customers. Most recently, and most notably, I was stranded in Houston with engine trouble. The shop my sister took me to diagnosed the problem and quoted a large block of service time. Because it was an expensive repair, I called Winn at Arbor to discuss my options. He remembered me, my car and noted the current issue. And even though he knew the repair would have to be done in Houston (not by his team) he took the time to talk me through the proposed quote and called me back after he had time to dig a little deeper. His attention helped me better understand the issue and gave me the negotiating power I needed. I am anxious to meet people I can refer to Arbor. Ive never in my life had such a consistent and attentive auto shop.

I got a mailer in the mail when I moved to a new place from them for a free oil change. I decided to stop by and get my oil changed at 10:45 am. They lady said she had one ahead of me and then they were going to lunch and said they could do it at 1:30pm. I asked if it was alright if I left and came back at 1:30pm. She said yes, that would be great. I went back at 1:28pm and the guy behind the counter asked how he could help. I told him I was here earlier and the lady said to come back at 1:30 pm and they will change my oil. He said oh Im sorry I have 3 ahead of you. I explained to him again she said I could come back at 1:30 pm and he just said he had 3 ahead of me and put his hands in the air like it was out of his hands. I told him to keep the coupon and said I wont be back, it seemed as though he could care less. What a total waste of time. Nothing bugs me more than incompetence like this. I could have done so many better things than wait around nearby for 2 and half hours. Beware before you go here.

Almost a good experience. I stopped by the have a leaking tire looked at. I left the car and my phone number with them. They never called me back, but when I called them theyd found a nail and patched my tire. The price was reasonable and I was satisfied with the work. That would have been the end of the story and I would have been a satisfied customer (giving them a four star rating), but the next day I started getting spam text messages from them. Id never given them permission to send me text messages and we had already concluded all of our business. I called them up to complain and they told me to opt out. They seem to think it is okay to harass customers with unsolicited text messages. After arguing with me on the phone they agreed to remove me from their spam list. I havent received any text messages since. Too bad they lost this customer. May be theyll learn from their mistakes. If you hire them, dont give them your contact information. They arent trustworthy with it.

Went in after buying a Google Offers coupon for the place so I could get my car checked out while I was at work. When I mentioned having a coupon, they said that I needed to have a print-out of it, even though I had the bar code and order number right with me. After that, they indirectly told me to just come back another time. They had a computer, and Im fairly sure they would have a printer as well, so why couldnt they take the two minutes to print out the coupon there, or just write down the number? I obviously cant comment on the quality of their repairs, but even if its a petty gripe, its pretty lazy that they cant put in the smallest amount of effort into customer service and would rather just tell me to leave because of the most minute of details. Considering this, I dont think Id even want to trust them with my car if this is how much effort theyre gonna put in.

I think I have finally found a shop that I can trust! Went in for a check engine light diagnosis and an oil change I had and after a said diagnosis four more issues were brought to my attention. Now I know these were legitimate because the previous owner really neglected the car and had only changed one tire and I had already changed cabin and engine air filters myself. So they recommended 3 tires, correctly pointing out one was good and they didnt offer me some bogus air filter replacement like so many shops before had (thats how I know they didnt even look at my car). All in all I was faced with 6 moderate to minor repairs and thankfully the price WAS EXTREMELY FAIR! I would gladly recommend this shop and will continue to bring my baby here to get her up to par!

Winn has been my go-to mechanic for the past 8 years! I dont ever feel like Im getting cheated and Im always spoken to with the facts. They guarantee their work, and this is ever so important with an older car. There have been instances where I have had to take my car back in for the same "issue", but Ive always walked out without opening my wallet! Ive compared their estimates with other chain shops and Arbor is consistently 15-20% less. You can make appointments online, or call to determine wait times. Winn will even take you back to work if you are in a bind! Personal service is a rare find these days, but Arbor Auto Works is keeping that small town vibe alive!
