Needed to have an alignment done on one of our cars. Checked with several places, and they either wanted to make an appointment for several days later, or wanted to charge $100 or more to do the alignment. I originally went to check out Speedy Align, but they were closed today for some reason. Found StopShop via yelp, and the location was close to where I was. Gave them a call, and found out that there would be no waiting if I came by. Shop is very clean and attractive. Waiting area is spotless, and equipped with a Keurig machine, large TV, comfortable couches, and free wifi. I was quickly greeted by the lady at the front desk, as well as one of the mechanics. Very impressed, so far. Heres the best part... They will actually do a full check of your alignment for FREE! Then, if you indeed need the service, they will discussing the pricing and details with you, including a diagram that shows exactly what adjustments need to be made, etc. Top it off with the best price Ive found in town for a 4 wheel alignment ($65) and a 20 minute turnaround time... and Im a fan! Go by and check this place out... they are some great people!

My husband and I took our recently purchased 1997 e350 van to Stop Shop to fix the brake system - the brakes were pulling to the right. Although the shop originally quoted us around $400, when they actually got the van lifted and the wheels off they realized that almost the entire brake system had to be replaced. They were so kind and accommodating and did their best to keep the cost down as much as they could, even giving us free labor on certain aspects of the repair. Every time something changed about the repairs or the price, their wonderful receptionist was quick to call me with an update and to get my approval before moving forward. She was also very thorough in explaining all aspects of the repair. Although the end cost ended up being almost $1300, it could have been much worse, and they instilled such a feeling of trust in their work. The van drives like a dream now -- I couldnt believe the difference. They also let us store the van in their bay over the weekend so we didnt have to drive it back to the shop when they opened on Tuesday morning. I will be going to Stop Shop with ALL of my repairs in the future!!

This family owned business is a scam. In two days the price has changed five times going from owing 450 to 2000.00. An original hardcopy estimate was not printed or given and I ended up owing 750.00 before any written estimate/documentation was given. The owner does not know what he is doing and kept suggesting things it "might" be. When he claimed he fixed some of the codes that came up, I asked to see them showing cleared from the system and he came up with a lame excuse that he cant re-set the codes until the entire job was completed. I thought if you fixed a code, it disappeared. Total scam! On top of that the car is still not fixed, had to have it towed from there and still had a bill of 750.00. Oh but I did get an oil change in which the owner Daniel said would fix the problem. I am considering hiring an attorney.
