I took my vehicle in to have a look at the noisy breaks and at the same time they did a complete overall look at it since I was nearing 100,000 miles. They found nothing wrong with the breaks and believed it to be because they were a less expensive brand (I really only believed them because I have heard enough people mention this as a reason for noisy breaks for it to have some truth and because 2 other mechanics couldnt find any problems with the breaks.) No pressure to have anything done that day and they found a problem with the lower arm control that Sears didnt notice. I had recently paid for a front end alignment that turns out wasnt necessary and a complete waste of money & time. They were honest with me and gave me a quote to replace all the bushings on the lower control. However, it turns out they didnt have to replace all of them and only charged me for the ones they did have to replace. My bill ended up being less than half of what the original quote was. Now, you wont get Sears or Wal-Mart prices but theyre not unreasonable either and in my opinion worth it. I dont claim to understand the intricate mechanics of how an vehicle works and how all the parts interconnect, so having someone I trust to me honest with me and give me professional advice is a must and well worth paying a little extra for. I was never made to feel pressured to have any work done right then or in the near future. (Nothing more annoying than a pushy salesperson.) And they recommended against any unnecessary work, such as a front end alignment until I could the lower arm control fixed. So far theyve proven to know their business and to be honest about it. Id recommend them to anyone who asks.

Two. Thats the number of times I gave Excalibur Automotive the chance to show me that it earned all the five star reviews on Google! Both times this shop FAILED. Miserably. The first time, I asked them to repair the heater/ac and oil sensor in my car. Apparently they were too busy to fix either problem but found the time to bill me $500. A not-too-pleasant review by me on another site, prompted Brad, the owner, to ask me for another chance to redeem his shops rep. He blamed a neophyte mechanic for the incomplete job done on my car and said he fired him. Brad then promised that HE would do a complete diagnosis of my car and print out the results. I decided to give him a second chance, esp. since my car started to die on me. However, all I received was "free" advice to SELL MY CAR, saying it was not worth fixing! They didnt even try to cover up the fact that AGAIN, they DID NOTHING to try to figure out what was going wrong with my car. They could NOT even tell me exactly why it was cutting off and how much it would cost to restore it! In short, another mechanic found the problem (a defective air mass meter), fixed it in a few hours and put me back on the road. No problems. When I told Brad how another shop managed to fix my car, he just gave me excuses as to why he stood behind his mechanics incompetence, claiming I received "value" for the job they did! Unbelievable!!! Ill never go back. Do yourself a favor, especially if youre a Woman, AVOID EXCALIBUR!!!!

These guys are the best...honest, and wont steer you wrong. I took in my 2009 Hyundai, because the place I took it before for a brake job completely mucked it up. After the 4th time trying to get it fixed, my CEO recommended James and team at Excalibur. I had researched the symptoms on my brakes and was convinced that the brake booster was failing. They took a look and informed me that while my pads were new, the drums had not been rotated and resurfaced (which I had paid for). This allowed me to go back one more time to the original car shop, and present the owner with this information. He was apologetic, and is overseeing all of the work personally at no charge. In addition, James team researched the booster issue, and did not recommend that I have it replaced as it was $800 and they thought having the brakes repaired the right way would resolve the issue. Tell me the last time you ran into an honest car repair shop. A+++ to Excalibur...I know where I am taking all future car work!!! These guys are the best.

Let me tell you, these guys know what theyre doing. Great, friendly customer service with knowledgeable and straight forward guys. I have brought my dinky little car in at least three times already (three different problems with it) and every time Brad and his team never disappoint. I tell them what issues Im having and theyll diagnose the problem. Then theyll explain to me what the gameplan is and will update me every step of the way. Even with something as simple as a state inspection, or with something a little more detailed as replacing a tie rod, they will always try to make sure that we are on the same page and ensure that I understand what they are doing to my car and why. Because they consistently do a great job with their work, often times they are fully booked for the day. I would recommend you make an appointment online or over the phone ahead of time, otherwise they may be unable to accommodate you last minute if you walk-in. Anytime anyone asks me for a shop recommendation, I refer them to Excalibur!

I cant say enough about the wonderful, friendly service I received at Excalibur Auto Repair. Ive never felt so comfortable and welcome at an auto repair shop. They squeezed me in both times at the last minute, even late on a Friday afternoon. I had 2 buyers checks done. The especially great part about this aspect of their service is that they will look for major issues first and then stop the check if they find big problems with the vehicle. This saved me a lot of time and money (as Id brought in 2 lemons!). If the vehicle doesnt have major problems, after consulting with you, they will then continue on with an in-depth check. After I brought in those 2 aforementioned lemons they even said theyd keep an eye out for suitable vehicles for me, and infact found me one, which Ive since bought! I feel very fortunate to have found a AAA approved repair shop that I completely trust to give me a good, fair price, expert knowledge & advice and outstanding service.

I had to leave Austin and I still schedule appointments to have my car worked on there. First, they dont suggest work that is unnecessary. They break down what you need to have done for safety reasons, to avoid more expensive repairs, and which things you might want to plan for in the future. Second, they do not talk down to women! They will explain the repairs to you in whatever detail you want and they do not presume that you cant comprehend the essentials related to your car. Third, they do awesome work and if by some act of god something didnt go right, they will fix it. Fourth, they dont have to advertise because all of us loyal customers tell all of our friends, family and dogs to go to them. Trust me, if you need car repairs or for someone you trust to check out a car you want to buy. . .you wanna go here.
