Shed has spoiled me. I have been going to Shed for a little over a year now and I can no longer get my haircut anywhere else. People have tried to suggest Byrds, Floyds, etc. but these arent even in the same league as Shed. Whenever I go to one of these other places I feel like theyre rushed, just trying to get as many people in and out as possible like a waiter at an Applebees trying to turn tables. The stylists at Shed on the other hand take their time and treat your hair cut like it should..like a small fleeting work of art. This pride they take in their work shows as Ive always left with an exceptional hair cut. Today I got my last hair cut at Shed as I unfortunately have to move away from Austin after living here for over four years. When Michael, the owner, heard that this was my last night in Austin and sadly, my last hair cut at Shed, he cut my hair for free and wished me luck. This is a unique kind of customer experience that I will always appreciate and along with everything else in Austin, I will truly miss this place.

Booked my first apt with Justine off their website with only a 2 day notice. She was ready as soon as I arrived, and I immediately felt comfortable and like I was in the right place with the right person. She rocks in so many ways! Personable, cool, relaxed and fun to be with. She took as much time as we needed to discuss a new look for me. I had some pics on my phone that helped that process. She gave good suggestions too, and then created basically the exact thing I was thinking, but better! Finally found a stylist that I vibe with, trust and understands my look. I hope she doesnt go away!! Haha I found my new spot.

Tucked away in a small strip mall, this barbershop is the best of the best. The barbers are all friendly and talkative so the place has a cool and relaxed feel about it. They take their time to make sure that you get the haircut you want, and will remember it for next time too. Booking appointments online is a huge plus, since my specific barber there tends to be booked out through the two weeks they allow appointments to be reserved. My only complaints are that parking is sometimes hard, their lot has really small spots, and that I wish I could book appointments up to a month in advance.

Really disappointed in their online booking system. Booked an appointment and arrived for them to tell me they didnt have anything in their system. Add to that they best they could do is to fit me in the next week. Every time I go to book an appointment online it usually is a week or longer of a lead time in order for me to get my haircut.....Really like enjoy Rob cutting my hair because he does a baller job but if youre looking for convenience you may be out of luck.

Heather M is an excellent barber! Im not the type of guy to think about what type of haircut I should get, so I need to be able to trust my barber enough to just say "do what you think looks good on me". I get just that with Heather. She does something modern yet classy and Im always pleased. Plus shes super Fin cool so I have a great time hanging out with her. SHED is a clean, cool, and quality place to get your trim!

Such a RAD shop. I travel year round and it was so awesome to stumble onto this shop. The reviews do this shop no justice. From the people to the atmosphere to the haircut! Stellar! Ive had my haircut in just about every state and I cannot be more stoked with the haircut. Michael (owner), thank you again for the best cut in ages! Even better than my home shop in Nashville!!

First off, Justine was incredible. Not only was she warm and inviting (at a kickass place no less), but she was quite informative and helpful in finding a new style, making it easy to maintain, and offering tons of tips for somebody new to Austin. If you arent an expert in hair, or find it intimidating, just go here. You wont regret it. SHED was fantastic.

In my opinion, theres no better place for a guy to get a haircut in Austin! Mike and Art are my faves, but all the barbers are skilled and friendly! Music is always great, and people watching is even better. More than a barbershop...its a destination for everything a sexy guy could ever want!

I love Shed Barber Shop and Art is my guy! I see him every 3 to 4 weeks. Occasionally I go in and get a beard trim or a shave. The hot towels are a nice touch. If you cant get in to see my guy Art, then go with Michael. Although Im comfortable saying that all the folks at Shed are top notch!

Ive been going here for two years and have never had a bad cut. Rob always knows what he is doing and is a hair master. Recently Ive been getting my hair cut by Savannah and shes awesome, funny, and puts a lot of care into her work. Shed is the best, Id never go anywhere else.

Best barber shop in Texas, if not in USA. Being form Europe I am not happy with how hair is done in the US and the price to quality ratio. There are only a few people that know how to do it right: shed being the best. Tip: ask for Rob he is the master mind.

All the barbers here are great. Very friendly staff and the very skilled barbers. Before moving to Austin I would drive 2 hours one way once a month to get my hair cut here. They have complimentary drinks and always play good music.
