Ryan deserves more than 5 stars. I live in DC and had had a string of bad haircut experiences for 9 months. I read the reviews while I was in town on business and decided this would be my best shot at getting the cut I wanted. Ryan hooked me up -- I showed him a picture of what I wanted and we talked about how we could achieve that style. He told me what he planned to do and discussed possible options when he arrived at different points of my hair. Hes a great listener with a knack of knowing what you want without you even having to say something. I went to him both times I was in Austin during the Summer. I just wish I lived there so I could have him as my regular stylist. The shop is very nice and the atmosphere comforting.

I have been a loyal customer of the Good Life Barber Shop for since 2012. There is no better shop in the Metro area! Ryan and Debbie are great people and even more important great barbers. I spent 2 years looking for a shop that can handle my hair, keep appointments, and make me feel like a valued customer. Unfortunately, over the last few months my job has added way more to my plate and my responsibilities have increased. I don’t have the time or ability to make it downtown as easily but whenever I have the chance I will be back. I live in Cedar Park and Work in North Austin and that I make the drive goes to show how great the Good Life really is.

Was looking for a place to get a haircut downtown and came across the Good Life Barber Shop. The online appointment feature was extremely helpful and saved the headache of risking walk-in wait times at most places. I was able to book a same-day appointment with Bri and she did an excellent job. I was a little unsure of exactly what I wanted but she did a great job of helping me decide, she was very patient, and provided me with some great tips. I also enjoyed the space, atmosphere and TV watching selection. Thanks for the service and experience.

Ive been coming here for about 4 years now. I was sold on the first haircut. The atmosphere is great - free sodas, espresso machine, everythings clean and well lit. Typically only Debbie and Ryan are cutting hair, so its never crowded or noisy. Theyre both very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable, so you can talk about nearly anything. Theyve also got a guarantee where if you dont like your haircut, you can go back within 48 hours for something different for free! Dont worry, though - youll never have to actually use it.

I just came back from getting my hair cut there, and I couldnt be happier with how it turned out. I explained to Bri that I didnt really have a style and asked for her to help me figure out what would look good, she did not disappoint. It turned out as one of the best cuts Ive ever had. The shop is in a basement and has a cool look and vibe to it. Another barber there who I found out his name is Ryan greeted me warmly when I arrived and when I left. I will definitely be going back for my next cut.

I was looking for a new barber and saw the fantastic reviews for this place. After visiting, I found they are well deserved. Im not too vain about my hair, but I do like it to look good. Ryan did a great job cutting my hair and offered some great tips on keeping it looking great. The space is nice, too. Not only do they have magazines, there are also books available to read. There is also a TV with ESPN playing, too. I highly recommend The Good Life Barber Shop.

Ive been here twice and now I have a permanent barber. I went to Nick Geiser looking like a sloppy mountain man. After offering me a beer and real engaging conversation, he gave me a professional hair style and a clean new beard that I could keep professional and attractive. I havent gotten this many compliments on a haircut before in my life. Much less a shave! (Real straight razor shave too) Thanks again Nick, Ill be swinging by more often.

Very cool and VERY good! Location makes you feel like youre "in the know" and the setup is definitely high-class barbershop with a hint of private club charm. Pool table in back and free drinks keep you entertained while waiting for the best haircut of your life. Cost is lower than other "trendy" barbershops (mid-twenties for a trim and neck shave) and Ive never had a problem making an appointment. Highly recommended!

I had been growing my beard and hair out for about six months and I went in for a haircut and a beard trim/shape up. Nick did an absolutely amazing job. The haircut fits my type of hair and the beard trim really compliments my face. If youre looking for a great barber shop this is your place. Reasonably priced with a lot of services and products and a great atmosphere. I will be definitely going back!

I was in Austin for a wedding and needed a haircut. A quick search of the options around my hotel lead me to this barbershop. I used the scheduling system on their website to schedule an appointment with Ryan. Ryan is an excellent barber, he is very detailed and made sure I walked out happy with my hair. The shop has an amazing atmosphere and the service is top notch.

I was in town on a business trip and stopped in for a beard trim, and Russell delivered. As most bearded men can relate, I am very protective of my beard and apprehensive about trying someone new, but I was in a bind because I was travelling. They fit me right in and gave me an excellent trim. Bearded brothers, I would highly recommend Russell!

This is the spot for a great shave and a haircut in Austin. Cozy, clean, old school style barber chairs and consistent, reasonable cuts. Been over 2 years since I discovered them and I wont go elsewhere. Mother/son team of Debbie and Ryan run it but all of their staff are really pros. I ditched the inconsistency of Byrds for here.

I went here for years, and now that Ive moved to Dallas, Im still tempted to drive down I-35 to have Ryan cut my hair. Ive paid three times as much for a hair cut, but this is the best barber shop and the best cut, not just for the money. Great atmosphere too. I even had Ryan cut my hair for my wedding. Cant say enough.

I love love love this place. Go see Nick G. I schedule online (usually the same day) and he is always running right on time. I will get there a few minutes early to grab a complimentary dink while I wait. Sports are always on. Prices are great. I cant ask for a better experience. I would give 6 stars if I could.

I tried to walk in for a cut. They greater me and told me to take a seat. After 30 min they asked who I was and informed they they were booked. I have no problem with only taking appointments however sitting for 30 min waiting to tell me they would not see me was a bit much. Will not go back.
