A few days ago I had to move my apartment and my girlfriends apartment into our new apartment. After reading the reviews on google and seeing the star ratings we decided to utilize this company. We were quoted with an eight hour job after providing our specifics, i.e. her apartment half packed, mine is not (the estimate for packing both low-balled at two hours!!!), two washers and dryers, etc. We stated that we had numerous belongings and were concerned they would not all fit in the truck. We were assured that they would fit. They showed up at 9am, on time, at my girlfriends apartment. Though mostly packed, and only on the second story, they did not finish there until 1pm. Technically they did not finish as they left her washer and dryer but let us ignore the minutiae for the sake of the larger picture. Upon arriving at my apartment, on the third floor, they promptly got to work. I bought lunch for everyone and they took a thirty minute break. No problem there, it is tough work and respites are in order. However, to have my girlfriend tell me that she overheard them say "We are slacking on our footwork" is not what I meant by an appropriate respite. They worked at my apartment from 1pm to approximately 630pm, benefit of the doubt. We then arrived at the new apartment around 7pm and they started the oh-so-fun unpacking process. Normally the unpacking goes quickly but as only 40% of the boxes were labeled it was hard to tell them where to place what boxes. Nevertheless they finished around 9pm, at which time we departed to a storage unit to place our extraneous belongings. I signed the bill at 940pm. The job was quoted at 8 hours. It took over 12. I understand that comes with moves as it is hard to specifically guess what and how much the workers will be moving. However, at over $100/hour that salaciously incorrect quote cost me $400+ I was not expecting to pay. Furthermore, the next day when I went back to my apartment it took me and a friend four more hours to grab everything they failed to load as their truck could not fit all of our belongings. Again, the estimate proved wildly inaccurate. Lastly, per our understanding we were to receive a refund on boxes proportionate to the ones we returned. While I did not return all $339 worth of boxes used (I kept around 15), I was told upon their return that the only boxes I would be reimbursed for would be the wardrobe boxes. How much time I could have said throwing boxes out vice cutting them open and loading them up in my friends truck. Due to the aforementioned misfortunes, my girlfriend and I hesitantly decided to call the company back to submit our appraisal of their performance. While speaking to a supervisor, I found it nigh impossible to obtain a simple "I am sorry for what happened." I was not looking for a refund, just an apology. In closing, let me say that the workers were quite nice. I find it hard to fault them but in the end performances are not judged on niceties. Management in particular needs to better understand customer criticism and deliver accurate estimates.

Do not use 2 Men and a Truck. It was a horrible experience, ridiculously overpriced, and I received very little follow up related to my complaints. Here is my experience summarized as briefly as possible. 1.) My old house is 1452 sq ft one story and I moved 0.8 miles down the road. 2.) I explained the move to SR over the phone and he said my stuff should easily fit in one truck and should take 4-6 hours to complete the move. He quoted me $900 maximum if the move took 6 hours. 3.) He e-mailed me the estimate and I did not get around to reading it until the night before the move. This was my mistake: he had failed to include a basketball goal, elliptical, foosball table, and bar-b-que pit on my inventory(I had mentioned these items in our phone conversation). He had also given me an estimate of $836 to $1136. I should have cancelled at this moment but like most people moving, I was on a strict time schedule and 2 Men and a Truck took advantage of my haste. 4.) The movers were scheduled to arrive at 9:30 to 10:30 am. They arrived at 11:32 am. 5.) I walked around with the movers and explained what the priorities were......large heavy items. 6.) Around 5:00 pm, the movers approached me and said they were not going to have time to finish and there was not enough room in the truck for our stuff. I had not payed much attention to their work as I assumed they were professionals and I did not want to get in their way. I asked what my options were and they said they had called their manager to ask for help but did not get a response. They also said I could get a 2nd truck but it would cost a lot extra. 7.) We prioritized the best we could and left behind the elliptical, the lawn mower, the guest bed, a desk, our couch, and several other items. 8.) The movers and I left my old house at 6:05 pm and I arrived at the new house at 6:10 pm. I called the movers at 6:20 because they had not arrived and they said they had stopped for a gatorade break. He called me back at 6:30 and said he needed the address for the new house because he had forgotten the paperwork at the old house. They arrived at the new house at 7:00 pm. 9.) I was billed for 7 hours and 45 minutes ($1250). After speaking with the manager and explaining the long commute/break, he reluctantly decreased my bill to 7 hours ($1125). I had to borrow a truck the following day and spend 4 hours moving the remainder of my furniture. Our couch is still at the old house as it was too large for the pick up I borrowed. 10.) In conclusion, I payed $225 more than I was estimated on the phone and about 80% of my move was completed. 11.) I called in a complaint and received a call back from KM; Quality Assurance Manager. I asked for a refund to compensate for the incompleted work and inaccurate estimate. KM was nice and apologetic but refused to refund me for the uncompleted work. The 2 movers were also very nice and pleasant to be around.

They stole my engagement ring!!! We hired Two Men and a Truck for our moving on June 5th, 2017 between 2 different units in the same building. They had 3 men came to do the work. Before moving I was afraid wearing my engagement ring might damage the diamond so I carefully put it in a zippered wallet and placed it in a clapped bag. During that time, I had 3 bags on the counter at a time. As me and my husband was busying staying in 2 different units to arrange our furniture (we have a lot of things to move). When I picked up my bags, they were still zippered. It was a super busy day, me and my husband was busy unpacking everything until late that night. The next day when I opened my bag I saw the wallet was opened. I freaked out to discover that my diamond ring disappeared along with one Tiffany gold ring and $200 cash. I thought I misplaced my rings but when I realized the cash disappeared, I can tell for sure this is an intentional thief. This also meant that they went over all of my personal belonging while were running around arranging stuffs. We called the company asking for support and they said they would contact the guy but wouldnt guarantee they could reach them. This is shocking because they showed no customer support at all. We followed a police report and wait for the police to work with them. I tried to call back to Two men and a Truck to see if their operation manager can help but they keep saying they cant contact their employee and I havent heard any updates from them for the past 2 days. This is extremely disappointing for us because we literally paid a big company to come and steal our property that worth almost $18,000. While writing this complaint, I have their quality control manager called back and said the movers was "surprised" to hear about the missing property and they dont have a fraud department to help us so we need to wait for the Police. They think it it normal to have their staffs on the streets and keep stealing things from customers and its not their business. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!!
