I am new to the area and am happy to pay for good dry cleaning. I was encouraged by the good reviews of this business and dropped off a silk shirt and wool trousers for cleaning. The trousers looked great and they even got out a black smudge mark but when I got it home I discovered multiple areas of discoloration on the front and back of the shirt. I took it back and after waiting two days to hear back from the manager I had to call only to be told that this was due to perspiration, which seems odd considering that there were no stains in the underarms. The manager was rude and the customer service overall lacking. I am sorry to have to continue my search for a dry cleaner I loved as much as the one in my old city.

No question this is the best drycleaners in the city. Prior to trying A-1, we tried 3 different cleaners - that was five years ago. Once we experienced the outstanding service, quality and cost at A-1 Dry Cleaners, they became our one and only service. They are trustworthy, honest, personable and helpful - the customer is definitely #1. They always greet you with a smile and when we have special needs or request, they always make sure that we get what we need - on time. As soon as they see us pull into the parking lot, they have our cleaning ready and waiting. Excellent service!!

I brought in several pieces to be dry cleaned and altered on a Wednesday. I was told that the dry cleaning would be ready by the next day, which was to be expected. However, the alterations were supposed to be completed in two days. On Thursday, I picked up my dry cleaning *and* the altered clothing -- very prompt service. I also noticed that the hem on my tailored jeans matched the original thread. I was very pleased with the service, and I highly recommend A-1 Dry Cleaners to anyone.

Worse service EVER! First time going here I had a bad experience. The owner was rude and did not commit to when he said my clothes would be ready. Then when it was time to pay, he points to the sign that was on a regular piece of paper that seemed old and not noticeable. Tells me he only accepts cash. So on top of him literally arguing with me about the services I asked for. So I still have to leave to get cash out only for him to still argue with me. Extremely rude. Never going back.

We have been using A-1 Dry Cleaners since 2002. We began using A-1 because it was just down the street from where we lived. About four years ago, we moved into the Meyerland area. Although there are dry cleaners closer in proximity to us, my husband and I never even discussed changing dry cleaners because A-1 is so great! You will be impressed, as we were and continue to be, with the service at A-1. Our hats off to A-1-- thanks for making life a little easier for us!!

Does it not seem strange that this dry cleaner alone has about 75 times the number of reviews as every other dry cleaner in town and that every single one of the ratings is 5 stars? This place is below average in my book. The customer service is good, but the cleaning is over-priced, and the place DOES NOT ACCEPT CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS. What business in this day and age only accepts cash or check? Shop around, youll find a better dry cleaner.

Took my white wool coat that had a few black smudges (looked like I rubbed too close to a dirty car or something) to this dry cleaners. They charged me over $20 for the one item and when I got it back, the smudges are still there (though less obvious) and the coat smelled bad with some chemically odor. It was a waste of my money because Im finding a different place to take my coat to get the smudges out.

I have been using this cleaner for over 5 years and am very impressed with not only the quality of their work, but their exellent management. Ronnie is simply the best. I can say this because on rare occasion there has been a problem. This is what is most impressive. Ronnie solved the problem to my satisfaction. Period. He truly understands what it takes to be successful in a service industry.

BE AWARE!! If the high ratings brought you here, notice that the 5 star reviews are done anonymously 6 years ago. Their rates are overpriced and they are not clear about it until the service is done. They dont accept cards and charge 30% environmental fee. They charged $8 (6+2) for each of my ties that still have smudges. Wanted to like it for its location, but I simply cant.

Without a doubt, A-1 is the best cleaners I have come across in the area. Everytime I go, they are waiting with a smile on their face ready to assist me. Even the unusual requests are met with a smile. There is not a stain they have not mastered and everything is pressed with precision. Ronnie and his staff are a breath of fresh air! Defiinitely worth a try.

Terrible service! They lost 2 pairs of my pants and the lady at the register argued with me saying I never dropped my clothes off. After 15 minutes of her searching, she found them, but I was missing the 2 pairs of pants. I would go elsewhere if I were you. Take your clothes to Meyerland Cleaners off Bissonnet. Best price and service I have found so far!

Its obvious that most of the 5 star reviews were written by somebody in their marketing department. Pay close attention to the perfect grammar and punctuation, along with the unnatural phrasing and lack of colloquialisms. I will never do business with a company that does this sort of unethical thing to attract customers. BUYER BEWARE.

We have been using A-1 dry cleaners for nearly as long as we have lived in Bellaire, which is nearly 20 years. I have always been impressed with their customer service, and agree with all the positive comments already made by other reviewers. I have tried others during my 35 years in the Houston area, and A-1 is the best.
