We stayed here as part of a wedding party. The rooms are VERY small and the title cabin is quite misleading. After checking into our room that we were told could accommodate 5, we discovered that the futon was about the thickness of a comforter. It was like lying on bare bars. Dont get me wrong I have slept on worse in my day, however it was in a third world country where I was paying $2 for a room not $130. When we went to talk to Lynne and Pierre about the situation they were very rude and treated us like were irrational. We had to go and get another futon from our friends cabin and carry it over to use for the night. The Outback Hall has only two window AC units and was extremely hot for the wedding dinner. We were all drenched in sweat by the time it was over. They expect you to wash all your dishes before leaving, again something I expect from a $5 hostel. When we checked in we offered to pay then, she said we could pay when checking out so that the other couple staying with us could pay separately. However, on Sunday when I went to pay she had already run my card without my permission. Then told me that she tried to call me before running it, which was not true. I asked if one of them would come and take a look at the futon and consider replacing it. She said she would send Pierre to the room in a few minutes. I went back to the room and he did not show up. On the other hand, they were very polite and accommodating to the bride, groom and others who were paying $1000s of dollars for the wedding. They never once apologized or offered anything to make our stay more enjoyable. Hopefully this review will prevent others from being mislead into having a nice wedding weekend at this establishment.

We searched long and hard before deciding on Canyon Lake Cabins and Cottages for our wedding and the search paid off! This place is wonderful!!! Lynn and Pierre are very sweet and accommodating. The grounds are lovely and well kept, we had tons of compliments from our guests about how beautiful everything was. Our wedding was rustic chic and this place was perfect! Best of all was the value. With the weekend wedding package we had the Outback Hall and a cabin from 10am Friday until 10am Sunday!! Plus tables and chairs, a large kitchen (where you can do your own catering if you wish), bbq grills, tons of leftover decorations from previous weddings to use and NO vendor restrictions. This was PERFECT for our DIY wedding!! We were able to take our time setting up and decorating. I cant say enough great things about this place. We are beyond happy with our experience! Thank you everyone at CLCC, yall are simply the BEST!!! :)

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. We needed a relaxing place to escape from our jobs, and we were not disappointed. And the cottages were even pet-friendly, so we didnt have to kennel our dog --we just brought her along! We spent the afternoon in the pool and then snuggled up to watch some DVDs (free--nice selection to borrow in the office) in the evening. We also appreciated the kitchens and outdoor grilling areas, because we saved money and were able to drink without worrying about driving home from a restaurant. The icing on our vacation were Lynne and Pierre (whose French accent is simply adorable!). They were so friendly and accommodating. We mistakenly locked ourselves out, and Pierre cheerfully came to let us in after hours. A great stay, comfy cabins run by great folks.

I hate this place because its dirty their help gets high on the job and if anything accidentally left he steals and puts in his website and sells . Maybe a pair of expensive gym shoes, broach,jacket ect..... Word is he sells items on his own website and doesnt disclose what he finds in each room. I know Im upset knowing i called to retrieve certain items left behind and their employees disclosed never found but yet sold them on his own website. So if anything left brhind.... Write it off

New owners have really made this place shine! What a change from before. We attended a wedding in Outback Hall a few years ago and werent thrilled about going back. We were very pleasantly surprised. Lynne and Pierre are friendly and helpful, unlike the previous owners and everything outside is clean and neat with a sparkling pool, beautiful lawns and redone fences and picnic areas. Inside is all repainted and redone too. We will definitely be back!

Was there for a friends wedding. Grounds were gorgeous, pool was clean, Outback hall was in pristine condition, and the cabins, while simple, were top notch. But if youre down in Canyon Lake, you arent staying in the room for the whole vacation, right? Beds, on my case futon, are incredibly nice, and the front desk was wonderful. Without a doubt, will be recommending it to friends. And in the words of the Terminator, Ill be back!

Canyon Lake Cabins and Cottages was a great venue for my friends wedding. The setups for the ceremony and reception were great for about the ~150 people that were present. Afterward, we stayed in one of the rooms overnight and thought the rooms were clean and well taken care of. The staff was friendly and willing to help with whatever we or any other guests needed.

My family and I were there at Christmas, the grounds were wonderfully decorated with thousands of lights and displays, it was just beautiful. The cabin and the cottage we stayed in were clean and large enough for all of us. The furniture could be updated, but we had a wonderful time there and we are planning on going back this summer.

Wonderful venue for our wedding! The cabins and cottages are comfortable and there were so many options for entertaining guests and family. The staff is warm and friendly, and they did everything possible to accommodate us in planning and executing our celebration. Thank you Pierre and Lynn! 4.5 out of 5 stars.

I went here for a friends wedding, and it was such a fun an beautiful place! The dance hall was decorated so nicely, and was even a perfect size. Im surprised how nice the cabins were, from the beds to the kitchen. I had so much fun, and would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends!

My husband and I chose to have our wedding and reception at this location because of the wonderful price and great accommodations. Our wedding went fantastic due to the help of the CLCC staff. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a outdoor low-key wedding.

The best place on our trip across America! We loved the cottage, the pool, the grounds and the owners and staff were so genuine and polite. I never wanted to leave! Minutes from anywhere in Hill Country, Canyon Lakes. Well worth the dollar for a great family weeks stay!

Good spot for a romantic getaway. Pet friendly. There is a lot to do in the area. Front desk is super nice. Cabin was slightly dirty and a few of the things that come along didnt work well. Still a fun time and relaxing getaway.

Location was very close to everything. The only problems was that there wasnt many TV channels and couldnt pick up wifi. But that didnt affect our stay. The workers were very friendly. Id come again.
