I am not currently a member of 24 Hour Fitness but I use to be a member of this exact club and lets just say the customer service or lack there of, that I experienced today is a far cry from when I joined a couple of years ago. Ive been to many gyms and I know most of them offer a free trial pass for 3-5 days and I was wanting to work out. I call in to see if I could get a guest pass and I shouldve known that this location was terrible because they placed me on hold three times until I finally ended up on the phone with the manager (Trina). She told me that I had to pay for a guest pass, which I was okay with until I got off the phone and went to the website to discover that the gym offers 3 day passes for FREE. So later I decided to go to the gym to redeem the pass. When I got there one man told me I could get the pass and another one told me I couldnt then they called Trina. She came over asking all these questions and telling me I could only get a free pass if I was joining the club today, which didnt make much sense to me at all. I read the fine print off the online pass and asked her to show me where does it say that. She then pointed at some poster they had on the wall and told me that basically she doesnt care what the pass says. I asked for her name and regional directors name and she told me to find out. Then she stated that she didnt have to tell me anything. She needs to be Fired! Shes a poor representation of the company!

This was my worse experience thus far with gyms. I joined and then promptly canceled the membership because the sales person was really deceptive. Believed I was joining the gym and signing up for 1 Group fitness class. Signed the key pad thinking it was the credit card transaction recepit. Found out it was another contract. Sales Rep/ Joseph did not feel it was necessary to disclose this recurring $200.00 fee when he pitched how great Group training was. Coveniently , nothing resembling a contract was on the computer screen when I glanced. This is a dirty trick. Beware. Deceptive sales person . Lucky for me I had three days to cancel, and I bought it to his attention immediately. He lied and said he would take it off the next day. Next day- excuse. I canceled on the 3rd day because he kept making excuses. Apparently the $$s from the Group training is for the individual club , not a corporate thing. Warning! be careful and have them print out everything before you sign. Lesson learned, and avoid this club there are nicer ones with less broken machines. Still waiting for a complete refund. Corporate provided better service and explained that the Group training is run and Charged by the individual club. Hence the awful , anything goes to get a sale tactics. Lucky for me AMEX is A+ and I will have no problem getting all my money back. POS loser . Honesty is best.

I am a non-member of this 24 Hour Fitness, however; I use to be a member back when I lived in Texas. I came in on today (October 1, 2015) as a guest to workout with my brother-in-law and lets just say it was such a hassle and a terrible experience. First, they still have the same cricket problem from 3 years ago. (THANK GOD ITS NOT A FOOD COMPANY OR YOU MIGHT BE EATING CRICKET A LA CARTE) Second, I was unable to PURCHASE A DAY GUEST PASS TO WORKOUT!!!!! The staff member working the front desk told me, "I was unable to do so until at least 6am and then told me I could sit on the couch, but I couldnt workout. Its just policy." I have worked for and visited several gyms, and have never had a problem with purchasing a guest pass to workout. The fact that the place is "24hours" is was really makes it so bad. Excuse me if Im wrong, but being 24 hours is suppose to be convenient not inconvenient. Furthermore, to make a long story short, I was forced to purchase a membership (which I will be canceling) in order to workout. I think next time I will try LA Fitness or some other gym in the area to see if I can get better customer service, an enjoyable experience, and a workout without crickets!

Very poor treatment of customers, too much hassle; I pursued a guest pass and was given the "run around" that many of you have already mentioned. In order to receive my 3 day pass the representative I "worked" with wanted a drivers license, bank statements and a voters registration card for proof of identification. He even heckled the heck out of me to join the gym the same day, which frankly ruined it for me. So far the only thing the gym has going for it, is its 24 hour availability. Frankly, Im not convinced the gyms stale environment is worth the high price tag. Right now Im considering the "LA Fitness" gym which is about 5 mins further away. Its not open 24 hours, but the management is nicer, they have a pool, its well organized/ sanitized, and the atmosphere is perfect for working out. In my opinion, 24 hour fitness needs some improvements to earn my hard earned dollars. Peace :)

This site lacks Customer Service. I sign up there 3-4 months ago, wasnt oriented to the gym well, they were more worried about taking my money. I later found out yesterday after driving 1 hours there from work for a 5pm class, that classes had to be rsvp for. No one even both to tell me that, spoke to a staff and his response was ridiculous. I also attend the grand prairie location, i definitely like that one better, the cedar hill site is awful when it comes to customer service, staff would rather play on their phone than answer your question or even look after the kids in the club.

This is the most unfriendly 24 hour clubs Ive ever visited. Came here from out of town to let my daughter warm up before her basketball game. Waited in the lobby area and asked politely to use the restroom as I had been waiting for a while. Was told the general manager, Tewena Jones?, and the fitness manager, Twence? would not allow it unless I was a member. My whole family is a member and I spend tons of money monthly with 24 hours and have been for years but after being treated like this, I think Ill take my family somewhere else.

Absolute worst customer service I have EVER received at a gym. I signed up for a guest pass online to come check it out, when I arrived I had to wait 30 mins just to get checked in which took less than a minute. When I was upset the manager flat out told me I "should have known to come earlier" since my mother in law is a member. No apology for the wait at all. Unbelievable. my mother in law will be cancelling her membership and I definitely will not be signing up.

This is the best gym ever. Staff is great, equipment is also great. The "only" issue is, they "do not" offer the pull down sanitation wipe dispensers throughout the gym. They have a bottle of solution and paper towels. Not convenient method to allow members to wipe down equipment aftet each use. Therefore, its not cleaned. This will make you leave and join Cedar Hill Rec center. They have the best dispensers, readily available for use.
