I moved to Texas from Florida a few weeks ago and my parents attend this gym (for the past few years mind you) so thats why my husband and I decided to check the place out. We signed up for a 30 day pass and ended up meeting Steve/Stephen as soon as we walked in. He was nice...at first. After our workout he asked us to meet with him to get our passes and drivers license back. When we met with him, we knew a sales pitch was coming. And thats fine, its his job so whatever. But we told him that we just moved to texas a few days ago and since we got a 30 day pass we will discuss signing up after a few visits, not after our first. We also explained that we wanted to see what the gym was like on a weekday as far as crowds. After we explained this very nicely he had the audacity to throw an attitude at us and slammed his binder closed and said, "well, looks like youre NOT going to get the discount for signing up at your first visit!!" ...excuse me?? First off a-hole, your monthly membership is like $10, if someone cant afford that then they need a financial priority check. Secondly, I have a 30 day pass, and I intended to use it. Thats the concept of a trial pass. If I choose to sign up with them Im not signing up with that pompous, worthless piece of crap. He has a snotty answer for everything you say..do us a favor and go work at Walmart with that attitude.

I have been going to Texas Family Fitness in The Colony for almost 2yr. I enjoy the gym and love the prices but most of all I love my personal trainer Matt Fox. When I first joined I purchased a personal trainer package but I decided to watch them for a month first. Matt Fox was always working harder, faster, had more clients... I was in horrible shape and didnt think there was any way I would ever be able to work out with him. I ended up asking one of the managers who was the best and he agreed it was Matt. After another two weeks of talking myself out of it I decided to ask him to train me. He did a great job evaluating my fitness level and coming up with a plan to get me healthy. I could keep going on forever, if it wasnt for Matt I dont know where I would be. It Doesnt matter your age, weight or level of health he is the best. You really should use him as your trainer! I have a couple friends who work out with him and we all agree if you work out with him youll be hooked! Give him a chance you wont regret it. On a side note for managers PLEASE bring Connie E. Back for Zumba or UJam or both on Friday nights. I thought she was going to get her class back and changed my with schedule to make sure I could go. We need Friday classes and Connies classes are always packed. I know a huge group that wants her back on Friday!

I went to try out this gym because my workout partner was getting lazy and his gym was a bit too far. The person I talked to there said what I should do is sign for a membership with a deferred payment; that way, itll give me 5 days of unlimited access to try the gym out. I thought this would be better, because the actual free trial they had only gave limited access. He said if I wanted go ahead with being member, I would have pay the rest of fees BUT, if I didnt want to then I need to cancel by a certain date. I decided to cancel, and I did by the date the person told me to. Guess what though, I was still charged for the full membership. I called the corporate office and they said they cant give me the refund because I signed the agreement. This is true, however, I feel like Ive been duped. They said that to get a refund, I needed to 3 days after I signed up. The employee I talked to said 5 days after. And my membership agreement had a deferred payment which was charged to me a MONTH after I signed up. I obviously canceled before then so why charge me still? And why cant that be refunded? When Im not even going to that gym? Basically, dont go here. Whether the guy messed up or being deliberate, it was a costly mistake.

THIS Gym and its owners & gm are NOT honest and totally deceptive in designing direct mail pieces that are not true. They claim to offer a $9.99 Membership with a "small" initial fee and when you go in with the ad to sign up they claim and ask for a $100 fee!!! I dont know about you but if YOU Work For A Living like most of the rest of us, $100 IS NOT A SMALL INITIAL FEE!!! It time we all STAND UP and protest the gyms and fitness centers that LIE, CHEAT and STEAL with Deceptive Ads and direct mail pieces!!! SEND THEM A MESSAGE AND DONT GO AND DONT SIGN UP WITH THEM!!! They even totally ignored my message sent to them looking for them to address and fix the issue. They are a bad business and should NOT be rewarded for lying on thier advertising!!! Boycott THIS Gym Family all over the area and state!!! I HAVE filed a dispute and complaint with the BetterBusinessBureau. (BBB) just a few minutes ago. Bruno M Ayala

At first, it seems to be a good gym to work out at. Clean and well equipped. HOWEVER, this company is more of a SCAM. All they tell you is that the monthly membership fee is $14.99 per month but when you are ready to get the membership theyll charge you an additional $39.99 for signing you up. Surprisingly, youll be charged for an ANNUAL FEE of $31.34 which you never agreed to pay for. They make you sign several items on their computer and they NEVER tell you what you are signing for. Particularly, I asked them about the annual fee and they said there is no annual fee and when I called their corporate office, she simply said the fees are not refundable :D If you like your time and money, DONT GO TO THIS GYM!!!

Member be aware! This is one of the contract happy, fine print just to cheat you gyms. I noticed my card was charged today and immediately called them. I have NEVER signed a member agreement with this company AT ALL. I have NEVER been in ANY of their gyms. They bought my info from another gym that closed and I never received official notice that the membership had transferred. They wouldnt refund the charge made TODAY even though Ive never even used their services based on the fact that my old gym contract said they had the right to transfer my gym to another one. SHADY PRACTICES and even if I would have considered moving to their gym, I would never sign a contract with them now. sign up at your own risk!

I HAVE HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH THEM.. I initially went in for the 30 day pass... And was told that I need to sign up for a membership.. Basically pressured and made to feel like I was basically begging for the pass... To only be told after saying 10 times that I didnt want a membership, to put $1 in to hold the rate... Which I was informed that it was NOT A MEMBERSHIP..... I was later charged the annual fee....I asked repeatedly... I went into the gym to only be told that I was basically an idiot an did not understand.. I will be contacting the BBB .. With the info I have gathered inside the gym as to what is really going on...I was given corporates # that is basically a VM!!!!
