I have thick, frizzy curly dirty blonde hair...that I literally did nothing with for years. Hung, very long and I straight ironed it most of the time. that is until I mes Roni! I followed Roni from another salon to her own place at The Islands Edge because I would absolutely follow her anywhere. Now I have fallen in love with the whole staff and they way they run their business. Kenny is always so sweet and takes great care of me. He even ran and got me lunch next door at the Black Sheep Bistro once. Other things I love about The Islands Edge...everyone is friendly and attentive, i love the scalp massage when Im getting my hair washed, I LOVE my Aveda products (and now because of great products and Ronis advice I wear short curly hair all the time) I also value very much that Roni and her staff are concerned about my health. This is what I mean Roni pays very close attention to the ingredients of the products she uses in her salon. So you wont find perms and Brazilian blow outs at this salon. I trust Roni and The Islands Edge staff VERY much and I would recommend them to anyone.

I am in town visiting family and decided I could not stand my hair a minute longer. I got lucky and was able to be seen and I seriously could not be happier with my hair- Ronnie the owner/master stylist definitely knows what she is doing. She did highlights and lowlights and knew just how to get rid of the gold tones I hated. Then she washed and dried my hair before cutting- called a dry cut and it makes total sense to me. It turned out awesome. I am still shocked at how well it turned out. Now for the final test- I waited to write this until after I had washed and styled it myself.. It still looks good!! That is what is truly unique about this experience- I have never been able to replicate a hair style before which was always a bummer. Give them a try.. its super super fancy spa/salon quality without breaking your wallet in a very pleasant classy atmosphere and the people are so nice!

I was new to town and looking for a new hair salon. I tried this place out, because it was close to me on the island, and I loved my experience. Roni styled my hair EXACTLY how I wanted it done (I hate stylists who go off and do their own thing to my hair -- trying to make it too trendy and whatnot), and the salons Aveda products made my hair smell and look great when I walked out of there. The ambiance of the place was very relaxed and comfortable, and so clean which I loved! They even offered me pomegranate green tea while my hair was being blow-dried. I cant say enough good things about this place -- Ill definitely go there again! Just beware -- at first, I got lost getting there and went to some random spot by Flour Bluff (if you google the salon name, you get two listings). This place is right next to black sheep bistro. Loved it!

Im a little late for this review, Im not used to reviewing stuff in here. But, I feel that Ronis work deserves it! A few months ago, I decided to cut my hair way shorter than I ever did in my life. My hair used to be super long. Im new to Corpus Christi and had no idea where to go. I decided to trust the very good reviews Islands Edge salon has and give it a shot. I took with me some pictures with the style that I wanted and showed to Roni. She has a different style of cutting. She cuts your hair dry, wash it and then style it. Seriously, one of the best haircuts Ive ever had (including US and Brazil, Im Brazilian). Its been several months now and my hair still looks pretty darn good! Ill go back for sure! Very professional, very talented!

I am a part time Islander, who was looking for a salon to get a good hair cut during my frequent stays here. My friend suggested The Islands Edge, and am I glad she did ! First impressions are important, and I couldnt have been happier with my first visit recently. The Salon is clean, tastefully decorated and has a relaxing ambiance. Roni is very professional, creative, personable and showed me computer photo suggestions for my short hair to best find out, what I had in mind, and I received a good haircut. While I used to have the problem of having to drive back to Houston to get my hair cut, now, when in Houston, I have the problem to have to drive to Corpus Christi to see Roni. Its a good problem to have.... thank you Roni !

I am so glad I found this place two years ago when we moved from the Washington DC area. I have had my gray roots colored almost every two months since we moved. The price is very reasonable. I look forward to my visits because it is the best my hair looks until my next visit. Sad, I know, but its true. Roni is the owner. She is friendly, personable, extremely hard working and she is very talented when it comes to hair. The salon is very quaint and there is always a fresh cup of coffee or water or wine offered. I highly recommend this place and I will continue going back.

I got my hair cut here right after I moved to Corpus Christi. I move around a lot, so Ive never had a consistent salon/stylist that I go to, but now I definitely have one for while Im living here! Roni cut my hair, and I absolutely loved it. I have naturally curly hair, so when she told me she was going to blow it out a cut it dry, I was a bit spectacle. First of all, this is the first blow out Ive gotten that I actually liked! And the cut was amazing. It was really apparent that she knew what she was doing and loved doing it. I highly recommend her as a stylist!

This is a wonderful place to go for a mens haircut. The place has a very warm atmosphere with vanilla paint and darker woods to compliment. They offer you tea, water, or coffee at the start and everyone is very friendly and welcoming. The stylist, Denice in my case, was wonderful. She knew exactly how to handle what I wanted and was very comfortable with hearing my suggestions. I know that I will go back to her every time from now one! If youre looking for a place thats above par to the norm in Corpus, this is it!

I am so glad that I found Ronis beauty salon through google. After reading all her reviews, I decided to try her out on Monday (11/23). I have to say that I really LOVE the way my hair came out. Roni explains the process thoroughly and even discusses solutions may there be a dislike to your color. She is very confident in her work and she should be because she did an excellent job. I am complimented about my hair everywhere I go. Thank you, Roni!

I am new to the area and I chose this salon based on their previous reviews and I was not disappointed. I saw Roni for a cut/style and I LOVE IT. I went shopping after it was done and got compliments from the sales women. My mother-in-law has lived in the Corpus area for a while now hasnt found a salon she likes, when she saw my hair she immediately asked me where I got my hair done and for the information. I will definitely be going back.
