I stopped by the Great Clips in Cypress Village last night and it was my first visit. I usually go to Royalcuts for Men but I got off of work around 7 and when I saw that they were open until 9 pm I thought great and I decided to stop there and passed up on TGIHaircutters and Sports Clips, both across the street by the way. When I came in I was greeted by a nice young lady who introduced herself and had a big smile, unfortunately I forgot her name. So far so good. I saw there were three stylists apart from the greeter. A white lady with tattoos (I’m a tattoo fan), a Hispanic lady and a heavy set African American lady with curls in her hair. I was helped by the African American lady. Right from the start I knew it wasn’t going to be the best experience. She did ask me nicely if I was ready but I could tell it was not sincere. Right away she looked tired, as if she’d been working all day. I could tell that she was rushing as if she wanted to be done with me. She was dropping her clippers, comb, scissors, etc., even the white stylist told her “girl your dropping everything” in which she replied “I’ve been here all day, not sure what (manager’s name) was thinking”. No small talk whatsoever, which I don’t care about as long as your concentrating and doing a stand up job, which she was not and didnt do. She cut my hair short on the sides like I asked but failed horribly to blend in the fade. There was an obvious line around my head where you could tell she did not blend where the hair on the sides and the hair on the top meet. Not sure what she was thinking but the sides of my head closest to the end of my eyebrows, she didnt even cut down, I had to come home and even it out and I was afraid to say anything because of the job she had already done. She may work better with a lady’s hair but as far as I could tell she has no business cutting men’s hair. I will say she did do a decent job trimming the top, I was cool with that and what made it somewhat better is the promo of $5.99 that I didnt even know about but I did feel that I got what I paid for. Overall based on this less than satisfactory visit I will not recommend anyone nor will I be coming back. Go at your own risk!

Been a customer for 3 years and never had a complaint until now. They refused to put me on the waiting list. I was willing to wait 35 minutes for my turn but they kept telling me to just come back. Wth?!! If customers are willing to wait I think theres nothing wrong with that. "Just come back were here till 9." What if I cant come back?! That was horrible. NOT coming back and I hope the owners or management reads this. It will go on yelp.

Just dont go here. Theyre unprofessional, inexperienced, and when you show a specific picture of what you want it doesnt even help. When we pointed out the cut wasnt as short as we liked we were told to give it a couple of days to get used to it. After a week we called back to say it needed more trimming we were told it would be an additional fee for ANOTHER hair cut. Just dont go here.

Very unfriendly staff, the manager is very rude, and the wait is too long when you are 2nd in line. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF. I left 1 because my haircut was good, but the other four stars missing represent how many times Im going back there.

Hair cut as a profession needs to be questioned for these employees here. I could have done better job with my childs hair cut. Such an unprofessional basic job. I dont believe how they get busy. They need more competition I believe.

Jackie gave my son a peacock haircut... Horrible. 2nd try so we are done. I called and a rude Chinese lady said she didnt have time for me. Horrible place I even contacted corporate but its individually ran.

Theyve cut my hair and my sons since opening. Weve always had great service and a great haircut at a fair price. Id have no problems recommending them.

Tiffany must work at TGF across the street... Theyve always been super friendly, never too long of a wait, and you can easily reserve a spot.
