The good: They keep the place really clean, there are always fresh towels, and there is Kiehls in the locker room. The bad: After those, theyre just like any other gym except with a higher rate. Crowded just like everywhere else, equipment breaks and they dont fix it (three pieces of cardio have been broken now for 9 months and mgmt said "well look at it" - still no change), and mgmt policy is to hound any friend a current member brings in as a guest - phone calls and emails non-stop. They must be desperate for new members though they have no regard for existing members. This location was great when I joined a year ago though the recent mgmt under Charles Small is awful. He decided to change our membership terms out of the blue. Equinox Preston Hollow has no concern for existing clients and will promise anything to get you to sign a contract and "Commit to Something." Just know that you are the one who will have to commit - as Equinox Preston Hollow is really not into that sort of thing.

This gym is very clean, convenient, and I like it. Why the negative comments about staff? You are there to workout, not evaluate others. Pay attention to your workout: a gym is ONLY what YOU make it. Stop worrying about who is on steroids, homophobic, etc . It suggests YOUR internal dissatisfaction w/who YOU are. All nice gyms are expensive. If price bothers you, then go to 24 fitness on Royal Lane. Much cheaper, but you need a tazer to go in there at night and after you factor in repairing your vandalized car, about the same $. This is a great gym for those who feel it fits their needs. For the negative reviews, YOU joined so deal. If not happy, then I suggest you take Dallass own Don Henleys advice: "..victim of this, victim of that, your mommas too thin and your daddys too fat. Get over it!"

A nice gym once you are inside, but Equinox has the worst billing practices imaginable. While the staff at this location are nice and helpful, the back office billing and management are HORRIFIC. I strongly recommend against joining this gym just for the pain in the behind they are to deal with when if you have issues with your account; even if it is because you are moving outside the area per contract. In short, they continued to bill me for four months AFTER I closed my account with written confirmation. I had to threaten Small Claims litigation AND use my American Express fraud protection service to finally get them to stop billing me and refund my money. One of the worst customer experiences Ive ever had. Terrible business practices.

I wish I would have read these reviews before I signed up. This is a corporate gym that decided to come to dallas and cash in on the rich area of preston hollow. It advertises in Paper City and tries to attract that crowd. However, it doesnt know how to cater to that crowd. They make you sign a year membership. What a joke. I worked out there and went to take a shower and there was no hot water. The water was freezing cold. They wasted alot of space with fitness clases, which are empty. The work out area is very small. They dont have TVs built into the treadmills. So your stuck watching Fox news on the big screen. Plus they charge you 114 initiation fee and 150 bucks a month. Dont waste your money.

Ive had nothing but the most amazing experience at Equinox. The gym is cleaner than a hospital. The staff is friendly and fall all over you. They know my name when I enter and exit. The locker rooms are super clean and have Kiehls Products. The weight room always has a trainer if you need any type of help or questions. Ive worked out at seveal gyms and this is by far the best thing EVER to come to Dallas. It is more expensive but you definately get what you pay for. The Group classes are very diverse also. If youre serious about working out and being in shape I would absolutely recommend this place.

I just joined Equinox this week and after reading these reviews Im confused if everyone else that reviewed this place joined or visited the same facility I did. The staff is so attentive; they remembered my name when I arrived on my second visit! What gym in Dallas does that?? I have never been apart of a fitness club that was so dedicated to meeting my needs and goals. The personal trainers are extremely knowledgeable, the lockers rooms are impeccably clean (with Kiehl’s products) and I never have to wait on equipment. I love the people, the location and everything about it. It’s worth it.

There Is quite the variety of reviews on here all biased. Personally I love this gym been here for almost two years and reached every goal with the well educated staff. Agreed very clean, not a gym that holds a candle. By the way who cares where you get your employees if there the best?? Im a successful business owner and use Craigs list to keep costs down while looking for great staff when needed. In my time there i noticed like every place the bad were let go (Hence the bad reviews). And those who say they were treated poorly due to race use wikipedia and look up preston hollow Tx!

I had a great time doing my training evaluation with Ms. Tarra, she was so informative and patient with me getting back in shape after many months. I appreciate the time she took to go over a training plan and helping me understand more of the aftermath of my knee injury and how to improve condition. I would recommend my friends and family of her truly exceptional service. The gym is always so clean and the class schedules are a great match to my schedule before work. Thank you Tarra best wishes 2016!

Alot of classrooms but no classes going on. The trainers are hired from craigslist and are not professional or educated about fitness. One is obviously on steroids. The weight room is very small. The locker room is very small. The weight room is on the third floor, therefore its very hot up there. The price is ridiculously high. The value is not there. I would not recommend this club. The two reviews that give it a 5 star are obviously employed by Equinox.

Under unethical and fraudulent management from a middle eastern criminal named Charles Small. He has multiple federal felonies for terrorism and yet he runs a gym right in the middle of a nice and safe neighborhood in Dallas. I have told all my friends to spare themselves and to stay away from this very scary place that will steal your money when you turn away to lift a weight or get on the elliptical. Charles Small you will get yours, Ill see to it.

Great place to work out. Excellent classes, great teachers, never crowded. As someone who has hated gyms my whole life I cant believe how happy I have been since I joined 8 months ago. I am really surprised by the negative reviews, most of which seem to have very little to do with the quality of the gym or workouts and sound like they are written by disgruntled employees.
