Ive never been to a Lifetime Fitness so I didnt know exactly what to expect. This facility is a Bronze location, but I have done some research on higher tiered locations and can see different amenities. My suggestion for past reviewers and any potential future members of this gym is to do your research before getting a membership so that you go into the gym knowing what to expect and not have to complain after the fact..the offer a free tour and free pass for crying out loud... For the complaints here regarding them trying to nickel and dime you for assessments and training, you can simply say no. Ive said no several times and have not been hassled about it in the last two weeks since Ive joined. Joellen, Tara C., and Corey do a great job at making people feel welcomed. My wife and I are joining Team Fitness with Tara and Ill be taking personal training sessions with Tara as well as I want to drop another 30 pounds and register for the Reebok Spartan Race later this year. My wife and I have been working hard this year to lose weight and Im glad I have nice people I can talk to at the gym about my goals and get the help I need. Lifetime is pretty pricey, but its NEVERovercrowded, the space is clean, the other members of the gym are nice. You dont have the "ratchets" at this location as you would paying for a 10 dollar membership at Fitness Connection, YouFit, or Planet Fitness...trust me, Ive been a member of them before and was never truly satisfied with my gym membership at those types of gyms. This gym has exactly everything I need, and the staff has been more than pleasant to deal with.

So one of their sales people at this location allowed someone else to sign my name on membership papers. Yes my friend did tell me that they did it so that they could get a lower rate (Which is wrong), but the sales person told them it was the last day to get the deal and i was not around that day.. and told them to just sign my name on the papers .... And now that the bill has not been payed... they are coming after me for something that their sales person did? I have never even stepped foot into this gym not once... i dont even know exactly where it is at!!!! I recieved over the last month about 30 emails from Ryne Erickson at this location and after numerous talks with him he continued to send me emails and call me after i asked him to stop and to do what he had to do.... It got to the point that i had to threaten him with harrassment because he called about twice a day and sent about 2 emails a day.. Something should happen to not only him but also to the sales person that sat there and watched someone sign MY NAME on membership paperwork!!!!

This is a really frustrating experience. I bought whey protein product from the cafe, and had serious stomach problem after a couple of try. I had no problem from other whey product before, so I decided to return the product to the cafe. The cafe manager, Jeff, refused to refund becasue the seal is broken!! How can I know the product is OK or not even without open the seal and at least give it a try? He said it a policy, and would not change it... I never find any helth supplement store that refuses the refund for the product that is not working. Be aware, and do not buy supplement product at the cafe. Even though you get sick, its your fault buying it.

Their child center is awesome. Often my youngest naps there for an hour while my older child plays. When he wakes up, he wants to play too. They are always very nice and accommodating. My kids even tell me to keep working out when I go to pick them up. (At other gyms, they would cry, and I would have to stop working out to get them.) Their swim program for kids is also very nice. Great coaches that are sweet and encouraging. I was surprised a pool fit in the building. It doesnt have a water slide like bigger gyms nor outside pool. The gym is very clean. One time we had a problem with something, and they sent someone immediately to look at it.

I SIGNED UP WITH LIFE TIME AND WAS GIVE A MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP FOR $99.00 A MOTH. FOR THE NEXT 3 MONTHS THEY BILLED ME $140.00 AND WAS TOLD TIME AND TIME AGAIN IT WOULD BE CREDITED TO MY ACCOUNT. THIS NEVER HAPPEN, I TRIED TO CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS TOO LATE IN TO THE MONTH NOT TO BE CHARGED AGAIN. IT WAS THE 3RD OF JUNE 2009, THE FACILITY IN ALLEN IS GREAT BUT ALL THE MEAT HEADS AND BRAIN DEAD SALES REPS ARE FULL OF CRAP. THEY BILL YOUR ACCOUNT WHAT THEY WANT IN THE HOPE THAT YOU DO NOT REALIZE WHAT HAS HAPPEN. NO SOUP FOR YOU LIFE TIME.

Ive been with Lifetime for 4 years now and Ive had mostly good experiences. I dont deal too much with the staff but when I have, its been pleasant. The classes can sometimes be hit or miss. The machines are in good condition and its not as packed as 24 hour fitness and Fitness Connection across the street. Yes, you do pay more but its a better quality gym than the others. Plus, the towel service is a convenient amenity not offered at the other gyms. It is smaller than the gold and platinum gyms but also not as expensive. You pay for a smaller tiered gym.

I have been a loyal member of this club for almost 11 years consistently, and they just started closing at midnight every day. This has really put a strain on my ability to get into the club and after speaking to management I was told it was for safety reasons. I dont believe that is the truth, I believe it is to cut labor cost from 12-5am. I was also told that they had calculated the loss of members and are willing to accept that. I am hoping other like minded members will speak up and hopefully they will reconsider this decision.

I just moved to this area, and I decided to go for a run and seen this gym Lifetime. So I walked in asked about the memberships , a sales lady came up to me gave me a tour, and which I loved!! But then it all flipped , she took me to her desk and before she pulled up prices on the different memberships ,, she assumed I wouldnt be able to afford it!!! Now this I was applaud at ,, and very frustrated that I immediately left the gym!!!! How dare a sales person make that judgment!!!! I will be contacting Management/Corporate!!!

They post a sign saying the steam room will be closed for cleaning from 2am to 3am and from 2pm to 3pm; they usually close it from 12am to 4am (not sure about the afternoon). The sauna heaters work sporadically and the door wont stay shut; regular users have learned to hold it shut with towels. The cafeteria is great (Ive heard its overpriced, but I like it) if its open, but thats a bit rare. All that criticism is cancelled out by their amazing complimentary yoga sessions.

Absolutely horrible. Huge waste of money. Terrible customer service. A very nasty facility. No one ever cleans anything properly. Trainers are completely uneducated. Equipment is broken all the time. Stuff gets stolen out of lockers. I specifically requested these idiots not to charge my credit card and they did it anyways. Whatever you do, do yourself a huge favor and pick a different gym. And absolutely do not hire one of these people for $100 an hour to, "train" you.
