I had a massage and eye brow waxing within the last month at this spa. The massage was ok, for a price of greater than $100 it was underwhelming. Nothing special, the doors/walls were very thin so the loud sound of customers and spa workers was heard as you had your massage. It was hard for me to relax with this background noise. My eye brow waxing is an experience that I would not wish on any woman. I had let my eye brows grow for a month and I was looking forward to the experience. I brought a picture to show how I would like my brows done, the lady said: I dont need to look at a picture Ive been doing this for may years. I hopped into the chair and let her do her work. At the end when she showed me my brows half of my right brow was missing and both brows were not shaped correctly and were mismatched. As I starred in shock at my brows she blamed me for not coming in with enough hair to work with and said that I should go buy and eye brow pencil! If my brows had really been the problem, she should have assessed them at the beginning and told me so. My brows are finally growing back, but I urge customers to avoid the emotional disappointment and unprofessionalism and look else where. I understand that people are not perfect, accidents happen, but being honest about them is always better than blaming the customer.

I had a relaxing facial at Mapleshade Spa. I felt pampered the whole time. I was concerned because I havent had any good experiences though groupon until now. The building was a little strange and out of date, but once I got into the room I found everything to be relaxing. I was surprised to see a colorful quilt instead of stark white that other places seem to favor. There were other homey aspects. There were also good smells everywhere from the minute I stepped in the door.

This isnt a modern-day; upscale spa. It was a bit out of the ordinary but the staff is great and the service was as well. I enjoyed the antique feel to this joint. Will be back!

This charming spa is tucked away in the middle of the city, a nice oasis. I had a great relaxing massage and facial here and will go back! Good prices and fun atmosphere.
