I chose this place based on reviews. I went in, immediately greeted by a lady who didnt speak fluent English. Then Trina came up and offered gel nails. Then another lady who doesnt speak much more English than hello started my nails. I was not offered a drink, but the ppl were nice. Then Trina came to do my actual gel nails. They got one of the colors wrong (i got an accent nail), but Trina fixed it. I was pleased with my nails. I gave this place a 3 because nothing was impressive. Not offered a drink...Trina seemed a bit, um, standoffish at best. Id ask her about the drill, and she popped off your cuticles are good arent they? That damned drill gets used too much. I will go back for my fill, but will keep shopping around for another nail spa. EDIT as of April 2016: For some odd reason, I continue to visit this place. So after I wrote the first review, I did check out this place in Plano. The lady who did my gel nails was SO much better than Trina; so I kept going to this lady in Plano for a couple of months, but decided gel nails were more costly than they were worth me keeping up for. The pedicure done at this place in Plano was OK, but Heavenly is better. Fast forward to now: since November, I have visited Heavenly three other times. Ann is great! The best pedi lady there. Lee is good, she always rushes when she sees other customers coming through. And shes not the best painter, she is nice though. And I gave Trina a second chance this most recent time for my pedi. I came thru early in the day (10 am) and she was kind on the phone as I made my appointment and when I came in, I was provided top notch service. She did my pedicure beautifully (I only let her do it because Ann was not there). She took her time and I was pleased. She also convinced me to get a wax on my brows - again, good job. I was pleased. And Lee did my mani- I had one slight issue, but Trina said she will make that up on my next visit. So, the Trina from Nov 2015 compared to the Trina April 2016 are TWO different people. To Kassandra - if youre nice to them, theyre nice to you? No maam! We are paying THEM! They are in the business of providing customer service! And I am always nice, so the lack of professionalism was surely unwarranted. And I can tell from these posts that as good as Trina can be, she seems to waver back and forth in kindness and consistency with her level of work ethic and nail work. I just hope I always catch her on her good days.

Only thing I liked about it was that there was not a lot of people, which made me get my service faster. Thought that would be a good thing but it wasnt. The lady who was doing my mani did a very good job of getting the gel out. Then when it came to the mani , things got complicated. She was pulling out my cuticles very quickly even when I said it was painful and to be careful. I ended up with 6 torn cuticles out of 10 and now they are turning into hangnails. Also, when putting on the nail polish she put it on very quickly and did not leave ANY time for polish drying. Which ended up causing bubbles to appear on the nails after putting the glossy top coat. Another con is that they do not have fans. Only nail salon I know without fans. So I had to place my hand under a very dirty and unsanitized UV light kind of desk for them to "dry" or so I was told. Ended up with extra particles on my nails and them not even getting dry. Had to just let them air dry for a few minutes without the use of the desk. Also, another customer...a white lady...walked in and was immediately offered water as soon as she sat down. I on the other hand, received no such offer when I came and had my nails ruined. That was until way later, which was just because the lady doing my nails did not want to seem racist or as if her nail shop is bad. But to me it is. For all of this, I will not be returning any time soon and will make sure none of my friends have to experience the uncomfortable service I did. Also wish I would have waited after labor day for other better nail salons to open because this one was not worth it even though it was the only one available near me at the time.

Until recently I was very satisfied with the technicians and the services. UNFORTUNATELY, in October I visited the salon for a massage and was offered an eyebrow wax service. I agreed. The technician applied EXTREMELY HOT wax to my left eye, resulting in a severe burn and radiating heat- induced headaches, a swollen abscess above my left eye and eye lid, and 2 emergency room visits. When I went back to the salon to bring this to Trinas attention, she took my contact information, promised to check on my progress, but never followed through. I returned 3 days later to show her that my eye was swollen closed and she told me to give her the bills. I have spoken with their "PR" person, and to add insult to injury, he insisted that he was working with the owners who only agrees to pay any bills not paid by my personal health insurance company. and refused to give me any information for the salons insurance company. The owner would not negotiate with me regarding loss of wages for not being able to go to work as a result of the "burn" I received from their salon. We are still in dispute over this claim. Just know that if injury occurs, you will have to seek legal counsel to resolve the matter; regretfully, they are not cooperative in accepting fault, even when it is as obvious as a sever burn and scaring. I love Heavenly Nails & Day Spa. The customer service is spectacular. They are quick and efficient. Trina always does a great job on my nails. I read the last review and I honestly couldnt disagree more. I am an African American young lady and every time I go here they treat me with the upmost respect and again with great customer service. From the time I walk in the door they offer water. They give the best mani and pedi in Dallas. Honestly I am a very picky person when it comes to my nails but Trina seems to always do them perfect. I live in the southern part of Dallas and come way to this side of Dallas to get the great customer service from Heavenly Nails & Day Spa. Maybe the person who gave the bad review was having a bad day because once you let Trina do your nails this nail salon will quickly become your go-to-nail salon.

I can truly say, I love everything about this spa here!!! My last nail technician had to move back to Vietnam, after 10 years. (Sad face) Lets just say, I was spoiled rotten with my past technician. Okay so I ran across a few nail salons, that were horrible, but when I came across Heavenly Nails and Day Spa. I fell in love!!! The owners is soooo professional and generous. The other ladies, I quite dont know their name yet, but theyre sweet as pie. The service will have you wanting to go back all the time. The environment is a welcoming feeling. You suppose to treat yourself, dont cheat yourself. So come to Heavenly Nail & Day Spa and treat yourself. Lace Johnson
