It was my first time back to a Movie Trading Company in a while, and I was pretty excited. I really love MTCs approach to entertainment media. I came in and was quickly shown to the box set cabinet where I picked up Season 2 of Downton Abbey for a friends birthday. Thats where the service stopped. Not a full minute after that, I joined the line between one other person. Fifteen minutes later, I was still second in line as the other three associates busied themselves with chatter behind the service counter. While I stood there, two other customers were directed to my line and the associates continued visiting (I could have believed it was work related, had I not overheard the conversation). After another five minutes (still second in line), I dropped my purchase on the counter and showed myself the door. I havent seen quite this level of customer service (or lack thereof) in some time, and am quite sure that I will not return to this location. Had I been a new customer to Movie Trading Company, I can imagine that I wouldnt give my business to any of their stores. Youre better than that, MTC.

For years I have been going to the MTC in southwest Dallas, but recently I came to this location and I was blown away by the difference a few more minutes of driving provides. This store is ginormous, you can find practically any movie you wish to purchase and either get a new copy or a used copy. They also offer you the choice to rent movies or to purchase them. Renting from MTC is so much better than Redbox because you get to keep the movie for 3-4 days for the same price that Rebox will charge for 2 days of renting. Sign up for their email list and they will let you know when they have sales going like "Buy 2, Get 1 Free for all movies" but they will not spam your inbox with emails every few days like some companies do.

We brought in a bunch of movies & were surprised to find out that they bought the majority from us for $0.25 or $0.50 each (cash, not store credit, which is a little higher), where they labels that printed out to sell them in the store were from $3.99 to $7.99. We want other newbies to know that you might be better off selling them another way. In looking thru the store, there was quite a variety, but we were surprised at how high the prices were for USED movies. Weve seen brand new movies for cheaper than their prices. We probably wont buy or sell there again.

I can really only speak about this place from the perspective of selling movies, as thats all over used it for. But they do have a huge selection of movies and video games. Probably better than any other store Ive ever been to. From just a cursory glance around, it seems like their prices are reasonable for the most part. As far as selling goes, I tried getting rid of a bunch of old movies on Craigslist with no success. So instead of just trashing them, I sold them here for about $1 to $1.50 each. Its not much, but its better than nothing.

Would be 5*s but i encounteres a rude employee. I walked in with my friends and we were trying to see how much we could get for some movies and she looked at us and gave us this stare. And she was like, ummm were not buying anything right now. Its funny because i had called the store before i got there and a nice gentelman answered and told me they were buying. The rude employee had long blonde hair and she had a gap in her teeth. Just letting everyone know who she was incase others come to that store. If your seeking help dont go to her.

Not crazy about the customer service here, every time I come to this store, the employees act as if it pains them to look up a title. I stood in front of three employees to ask of a title, All three of them looked at me with no acknowledgement and continued their conversation. The store manager will do well to stress the importance of customer service. The two stars is for the wide range of selections but incompetent employee customer service.

Great place to drool over alot of Blu-rays and Criterion Editions that you cant afford. They also have a nice selection of lesser known movies in all formats. Theyre pretty expensive, though. Recently, they have added records, comic books, CDs, games and knick knacks to their inventory. Fun place to kill time and find something that you cant do without today, but if you want to find the same stuff for 1/3 of the price, try Amazon.

Movie trading companies great place to go you can find just about anything you want as far as DVDs games game accessories music whether you want DVDs CDs vinyl that you can sell guitars theyve got coloring books a great place to go its a great place to find things if you need gifts for any age group highly recommend that the staff is very helpful and theyre not that expensive so yall check it out

Great selection of DVDs, Blu Rays, vinyl, comics and video games. Walking through the rows of movies you will surely come across some great movies that you totally forgot existed. If its an old or unique film that you are looking for, they will probably have it. You can check their website first to see if it is carried at the store. You also can rent movies rather than by them if you prefer.

This store always has sales and is always helpful. Today there were very busy but they still helped me through a difficult sale. The cashier was very helpful and she even made sure I got the most for my money. I could tell she was stressed and didnt have the time to be trying to save me money, but she did. I even checked prices with amazon and this place can compete with them.

Been buying movies for a long time from this location. Took 3 movies back to trade. The movies I took were all previously purchased for 10.00 -15.00 all within a month ago. The girl that accepted them gave me 10.00 store credit. That is ridiculous and hateful. I said something to her about and she just smirked. Very rude. Never again

Not the most exciting on the inside, but incredible selection. They had a British film Ive been looking for for weeks. Cheapest was $25 on Amazon- got it here for $8. Also got the entire Monty Python Flying Circus set at a great price. I recommend checking them out next time youre movie/game hunting.

these people have no respect for their customers all I did was about a game I was looking for it them a half an hour for someone to get back with me and when I asked why did it take so long the guy I was talking to told it because he had to take a smoke break I will never go back there again.

They were incredibly helpful and had such a large variety of movies, music, and games to choose from. They even had games for game systems that stopped being made 10 years ago! I was thoroughly surprised by how much they of a variety they had. And also the prices were great.

this is by far the best movie trading company. I usually sell a lot of DVDs, when I go to other locations, I can sense how much its bothering them that they actually have to work (especially the Arlington location). But this one? nope. everyone doesnt mind helping me.
