I took my car in for a synthetic oil change and a right front blinker light replacement. The guy quoted just under $90 the night before I took it in. I thought that was pretty reasonable, but when I picked up the car, the bill was nearly $110. From where did the difference come? They do anything other than what we agreed on the night before. If you go there, ensure you get a WRITTEN quote beforehand. On top of that, as I drove out of the parking lot, when I used the LEFT turn signal, the front blinker for that side wasnt working. Very interesting coincidence, but theres no way to prove they took it from one side to the other. I can say that for whatever reason, when I started the car, the car setting for temperature was changed from Fahrenheit to Celsius. There are other things Ive noted that lead me to believe they may have reset the car computer. Why they would do that (other than incompetence) for a light bulb change, I dont know. Again, I cant prove it, either. Its sad that the convenience of using the on-post service is outweighed by the lack of trust in the company.

Had took my car there for a pinion seal to be replaced. When I picked up my car, it sounded worse that when I brought it in because I heard gears grinding where they replaced the pinion seal. I called them back and they told me that give it a coupleof days and the grinding will stop. I took it back again and of course they supposedly looked at it and supposedly replaced my pinion seal again and a few other bearings that they messed up. Then I picked up my car saw 3 different people looking at it and one of them had test drove my car like a bat out of heck on a military installation and he came back and told me that my car is still whistling and I could bring it back the next day (which was a Saturday). He also gave me an estimate of $2600.00 for removing and replacing my whole rear differential axle. My car drove not so good after they fixed it a 2nd time. When I started it that Saturday morning, it kept dying on me right after I started it up. Now Im out of a vehicle to get to and from work.

Avoid this business like the plague. While performing a simple oil change, they called me quoting prices for a set of new tires, new wiper blades, etc. with high pressure sales tactics. I refused. After I picked up the vehicle, the AC compressed went out on me fifty miles later and the engine ran poorly. I took it back there and a service manager wrote up an estimate for $1,190 to replace the compressor and freon. I drove home to Houston a few days later to have my mechanic tell me that a cylinder wire was cut, which meant that I had driven home on three cylinders, and that my AC compressor had been sabotaged. He replaced the compressor and restored the AC for just under $300. I am in the Wounded Warrior Program here. Feels so nice to be taken advantage of by a service station right on post. How they are allowed to conduct business here and cheat armed forces members is beyond me.

I brought my vehicle in for a state inspection for state registration purposes. I was told that there were $377 in necessary updates to include air filter replacement, fuel system cleaning, bulb replacements, etc. When I took the paper work to register my car I realized it was just a receipt for the work done. Upon returning to the shop to obtain the state inspection sheet I was told that no state inspection had been done, despite the fact that the car had been inspected to require the aforementioned updates. I was told I could bring the car around for a state inspection, after it had literally just been "inspected" and had required $377 in updates already. An unprofessional business practice running a scam.

Why is this business even on base?!? They are predatory and dishonest. Brought my wifes car in after replacing my struts over the weekend. She was on post and heard a noise when turning. They couldnt get to it right away, but said after a $25 charge they could take a look when they got around to it. I was at work so relented. They call me back to say it need $1000 worth of work (rebuild of the entire front end!)... It is a 12 year old car... Of course the front end can use a bit of work..! After taking it to my "do it yourself" shop we found the problem in less than 15 minutes and cost me $10. This place is a sham - totally predatory. We should be ashamed to have them on base.

I took my Jeep Cherokee there for routine maintenance and had a great experience. They had good prices for the services performed and the staff was friendly and helpful. After they completed the scheduled service, they went through the inspection that they had done and printed me a recommended service list. They were not pushy about the additional services or even suggest that I get them done there. They just wanted to make sure I was aware of the discrepancies in their inspection. Overall I had a great experience with this Firestone location and will be taking my vehicle there from now on.

I would put negative stars if I could. I went in for a simple tire repair they told me it was unrepairable and said I have to buy a new tire he quoted me $50.00 I said I will come back in a few days an when I did they said the tire would cost $115.00 and they have never carried a tire at $50 so I went to CD Tire on new braunfels and they not only repaired my unrepairable tire but only charged me $5 and did it with an awesome attitude and great customer service and fast service. Don't go to firestone! Go to CD Tire!!

HORRIBLY EXPENSIVE. Please do not waste your time with this vulture of a vendor. They will take advantage of you by selling you services you dont need with a grossly overpriced product. On the Firestone website, the price of the tire they sold my wife is $40 cheaper per tire! Its an absolute shame that command allows this to continue. This vendor needs to be on the prohibited establishment list.

There prices always seem to be higher than other establishments. Dont understand why? If they operate on a military installation, seems like they are taking advantage since most think your getting a better price if you go to this establishment on base. Ive priced brakes, rotors, AC maintenance, Transmission service, and theyve all come back 25-100 dollars more than other places.
