Review Buyer Beware! Prior to my first and last visit on 6-29-17, I called and spoke with Jose, the manager. I explained what my car was doing, and told him I am on a tight budget. Jose said they would never do anything to the car without calling and getting my permission. I took the car to them that evening and dropped it off. Jose said I could pick it up the next day. The following morning I called and spoke to Yinka, the GM and owner. I spoke to him about my tight budget and what the car was doing, he quoted me the amount of $529. I almost choked, but I agreed because I depend on my car for all my transportation. There is no backup. When I arrived that evening to pick up my car. A young man named Greg was at the register and said I owed them $911.00! I explained I only had $529, the amount Yinka and I agreed on. No one had called me letting me know any different, nor would I have ever said yes because I did not have $911. Greg said he would call Yinka. Yinka told Gregg to try to get amount down with discounts and he would be there in 10 minutes. Fifteen minutes go by, Gregg can only get amount down to $611. I explained I only had the $529. I waited for at least 20 more minutes, no Yinka showed up, and since it was closing time I was able to pay $529 to take my car home. Greg tells me that the Catalitic Converter needs replacing along with a coil pack. I I can barely drive my car home. It is now missing and cutting out so badly it is not safe to drive. My car was driving okay when I took it in to Precision. It had occassional misfires which caused the car to act like it would not start once in a while. I just had a new coil pack put in a month prior to taking car to Precision. On my Precision receipt it said they replaced all my spark plugs and wires, put in a serpentine belt, replaced a fuel filter and a gasket. I had all my spark plugs, wires, coil pack done 1-month ago. Precision did replace the previous platinum spark plugs with very cheap copper spark plugs. I had another mechanic validate this, and I have proof of receipts. My car drives horribly, left me stranded because it would not start on July 4th, and is currently being fixed by someone else. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THESE PEOPLE-THEYARE SCAM ARTISTS AND WILL TRY TO CHARGE YOU MUCH MORE THAN THEY QUOTE YOU WITHOUT CALLING AND INFORMING YOU OF ADDITIONAL WORK THEY DO. THERE IS NO INTEGRITY OR HONESTY AT THIS PRECISION AUTO STORE - STAY AWAY! Patricia N.

This occurred a few months ago...I had purchased the Premium package which included an ALL fluid check, tire roation, etc. I heard the steering begin to whine a couple days before and had checked the reservoir to notice it was low. So, in thinking if it can be heard surely the mechanic who would be servicing it would hear it as well.... I waited in their clean waiting room, every once in awhile I would check the movements going on and saw very little. After a length of time there was nothing going on. The receptionist was kind enough & I said, I hope the mechanic checks the tire pressure, she assured me that they were a bunch of good guys & that they would in fact check the tire pressure when they rotate the tires. After another moment of time, the mechanic comes in and tells me that the previous oil filter was on very tight & they had to use "other ways" to remove it and now my vehicle was waiting on an oil filter to arrive.... Needless to say, I began to feel very unassured of this shops integrity. After another 15 mins, the mechanic whisks my vehicle out of the bay I could hear the power steering whine as he drove out. I unfortunately did not have the time to get this fixed & the tires were not rotated (not once did I hear an air tool being used or seen movement of tires taken off). I wrote my complaints to a survey they emailed to me and the owner did reach out after I had replied to their survey. He offered "to correct the wrong and do something extra to make you happy" Unfortunately Mr. Ogunsanya, there is no way to replace the time I spent waiting for a service that I paid your shop to perform...and it wasnt just my time, but also my mother who was waiting for me to pick her up from her drs appointment.

I originally walked in at 2pm on a Friday and there was one person in the lobby waiting for their car. There was one employee at the front desk on his cell phone, one employee in an office in the back, one mechanic working on a car in the garage, and one mechanic sitting in the garage on a stool eating. I told the gentleman behind the desk I was there for an oil change and had a Groupon. He stated "those are by appointment only. Youre looking at an hour wait if you stay here without an appointment." So, I made an appointment for 4pm, left and came back at my scheduled appointment. When I arrived, there was no one else in the waiting area and no cars in the garage. There were the same employees as before all in the same places. It took 20 minutes for my car to get pulled in to the bay (even though there were no other cars in the garage at the time). Once in the bay, it took 40 minutes for them to change my oil. I was in the office a total of an hour and ten minutes for a basic oil change. After leaving, I drove down the street and noticed my car was putting out smoke from under the hood. I pulled off the road and opened the hood to find smoke pouring out from under the engine. I immediately drove back to the shop and was told by one of the employees that my car was "leaking coolant." Which is funny...because it wasnt leaking coolant from the oil cap when I got there. In actuality, they failed to tighten the oil cap and it had spilled oil all over the engine. They sprayed it down with cleaner, tightened the cap, and I left. In total, I spent nearly two hours of my Friday getting my oil changed. Ive never in my life experienced anything quite like what happened at Precision Tune. I will never be back.

The Groupon costs more than calling in for the same service!! The company charges the same and then adds the cost of advertising to the Groupon price. The shop is appointment only and they have very limited hours, 8-5 M-F. I made my appointment several days a head of time for 11:30 and was told it would take 15 minutes. I arrived at 11:25 but only one technician was there and I waited to be helped for 10 or 15 minutes. The shop did not have my filter on hand. When I pointed out that I had given my car make and model when I made the appointment ahead of time, the receptionist told me that they dont check their supplies before appointments. Isnt that they point of making an appointment? The Groupon states that there is a $5 disposal fee which I was fine with as I was informed ahead of time. However, the Groupon also says that it does not cover "special" oil filters or cartridges. Ive never been charged extra for my filter so I didnt think it would be an issue and the technician on the phone didnt say that I would need to pay extra. Guess who had to pay $12 more? When I complained about not being told of the charge ahead of time, the receptionist told me the technician hadnt put down what kind of engine I have so they didnt know it was a "special" cartridge. Maybe he should have asked? Its not my job to train your people on how to book an appointment and accurately quote pricing. If I was an expert on cars Id be changing my own oil. By the time it was all said and done I was there for over an hour and only paid a few dollars less then if I had gone somewhere like Jiffy Lube. They did wave the $5 disposal fee but that doesnt make up for the long wait and lack of supplies on hand.
