I am in love with my hair again! I went to Matthew this week for a Brazillian Blowout, I chose him based on our phone conversation where he actually explained to me why and how this process would benefit my hair. I have really not been happy with the salons in the Dallas area that I have tried in the past two years that I have lived here and these were all referral based. Matthews knowledge and professionalism were impressive, leading me to book the appointment. When I arrived, I showed him a couple of pictures of what I wanted color-wise and he was able to easily take my hair back to the color that I wanted. Then the Brazillian - it blew me away. My hair was over-processed, dry and brittle (after a different salon had damaged my hair) - Matthew turned it into beautiful, silky spun gold. I have had several people stop me telling me how beautiful my hair is (and of course, I tell them to run to Matthew Dillard!). He also cut my hair and I could not be happier, he explained to me why layered cuts had not worked for me in the past and how his would work for me- and it does!!! Brazillian Blowouts can be a bit expensive, but I have to say this process is well worth the money. Not only is it saving me time on blowing out my long hair, but no more waves and now I always look very polished which is very important as a professional in the business world. Not to mention, it has lifted my spirits and made me feel beautiful - which to me is priceless. While many people in the Metroplex say that they offer this process, do your research. You want to go with an expert, who has the knowledge and the experience. In my opinion there is only one person to trust with my hair (for Brazillian Blowout, color and cut) - Matthew Dillard.

The best, most awesome experience I have ever had at a Salon! Matthew Dillard is leaps and bounds better than anyone I have tried in the Frisco area - and I have tried quite a few. I was so excited after reading such great reviews about Matt and even then he went above and beyond my expectations. The salon is gorgeous, everyone was so welcoming and friendly and even after just the first few minutes with Matt I knew he had listened to me and I totally trusted him and I could not be happier with the results. He really takes the time to do a proper assessment first. And he talks to you every step of the way and explains everything. What impressed me the most was that he is extremely knowledgeable about his craft and was so willing to share things with me so that I can keep styling my hair the right way at home. He took me step by step through every section of my hair and showed me how to get my salon look every day. I have never had anyone take the time to do that for me before but its what I have always wanted. And - he has a long range plan for me and my hair that I can believe in. He did talk to me about hair care products and the right brush for my hair but it wasnt a hard sell approach at all. He gave me some samples to try and I really appreciated that. I walked out of Matthew Dillards salon feeling so beautiful, my hair color was perfect, the style suited me perfectly and I now know why Matt gets the rave reviews that he so deservedly receives as a true artist. If there is anyone who is passionate and cares about the color, health and style of your hair - it is Matthew Dillard. Not sure how anyone who has actually been a client of his could review him otherwise. I am so happy I found him!

Ive been going to Matthew for almost two years now (cut, color, and Brazilian Blowout) and hes the best! Definitely worth the drive to Frisco from Dallas. He knows hair, so I completely trust him to do what he thinks will work for my hair. I have really thick hair which can be difficult, and hes gotten it right every time. He also takes the time to show you how to blow dry and style your hair, in ways youd realistically do yourself at home. Hed never let you leave the salon if you werent 100% happy with your hair. The shampoo chairs are super comfy, so your neck and back dont get stiff. Id recommend a morning appointment--it can get busy in the afternoon and my morning appts have gone quicker. Price is reasonable to what youd pay in any Dallas salon (I was actually paying more before I came to Matthew). He will tell you if you ask for something he doesnt think you need (e.g., Brazilian blowout), so he really is concerned about making sure you look good, and not just making money off you. The Brazilian blowout can be pricey (price based on length of hair) but I would recommend paying to see Matthew. My friends who used Groupons at other salons did not have the same results. I use the shampoo he recommended and follow his care instructions and mine last much longer than 12 weeks (I can go 5-6 months). Quirky sense of humor and laid back vibe. Everyone in the salon is friendly. Ive only had a positive experience.

About 2 weeks ago I had the Brazilian Blowout done on my hair by Matthew. It is really amazing. He really does know what he is doing and gave me really good advice for what to do with my hair as far as cut and color, too. About a week after I had it done, I had a wierd incident happen (LONG story), and I had something done to my hair that I thought messed up the treatment (really I think it was all in my head and I panicked). But I made an appointment to go back to Matthew and was prepared to pay to get the whole treatment done over again. Well, when I got there, he looked at my hair and told me that the treatment was still in my hair and there was no reason to redo it. So - think about that: he could have very easily said that it really needed to be re-done and I would have paid him a lot of money. But instead, he told me the truth that it was fine and it had not been messed up. I thought that was pretty classy and showed that he really is interested in helping peoples hair, not just making money! And just so you know, I normally have very thick hair that is pretty frizzy on its own. I usually spend anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour blow drying and straightening my hair. Today (2 weeks after the treatment), I think I maybe spent 10 minutes just getting it dry and it looks AWESOME! It looks just as good if not better as if I had straightened it for 30 minutes! I am so impressed!!

I am a new (and now loyal) client of Matthew Dillard. I was growing increasingly more disappointed with my hair and thought a keratin treatment would be the answer for my hair issues. I have been some variation of red for the last 5 years and was just really unhappy with my appearance. When I arrived at my consultation, Matthew started talking to me about what was going on and we quickly arrived at the conclusion that my real issue was bad color. I had a professional color treatment at a well known salon 3 weeks earlier and the color was wrong for my complexion and was rapidly fading to a bizarre violet pink color. Matthew did a color correction and I walked out of the salon with a stunning color that enhanced my skin tone. I stopped at the grocery store on the way home and received 2 compliments within an hour of my service. I really appreciated Matthews honest feedback about my prior color and his work was absolutely genius. While he could have made a higher profit on a different treatment (that required less work than my correction), he did what was best for the client and even suggestedvthatbi probably did not need the Keratin treatment. Long story short, he is an amazing stylist and I trust him implicitly after a single visit. I wish I had before and after pictures because the transformation is a night and day difference! This guy rocks!!
