First off, let me explain to you what I do for a living... I work in Internal Medicine. Ive been doing what I love and have a strong passion for now going on 10 yrs!! Like any medical position being held for that long u deal with lots of sick people, some healthy, some very sick, and other times death... I do what I do because I have a deep passion and drive to help others, and see lives turned from bad to good if I can... now not all the time that happens. I have a connection with patients like no other, I treat everyone like I would my mother, my father, or my loved ones. Now with that being said in my position we form family like bonds, and have a deep love for our patients. So when a death happens it effects me, like it would if it was my loved one. Now why am I saying this well after a loss of anyone, or a busy long day on my feet. I used You fit as a get away, somewhere to go and release my heart break, my stress, and also to stay in shape so I can continue to help the community. Now I have been a member of ballys, fitness connection, just fit, and now a FOREVER member of You fit!! Why well let me know tell u why... after all that I just explained this place is the first place and only place where I go to their 3 locations 2 in Mesquite, and 1 in Garland to EVVVEERRYYY SINGLE TIME, when I walk in I get greeted with welcome to You fit how are u? And when I leave Thank u have a nice night, good to see u again.... with a smile!!! Every single time!! Not by just one person. But by any one and everyone there!! Now its important u know what I do for living, to understand why I am writing this... I feel You fit and its employees have gone above and beyond to make me feel welcomed, and the best part is until today they never knew what i have to deal with at work. My point is some of us dont just go there to get in shape, or loss weight we go there to defuse from a painful day, or a stressful one. When I pull up I am usually anxious, or sad sometimes need a break from life and walking in to a kind face, that person dont know me, or my business to be smiled at and greeted with so much concern of my day and them saying its good seeing u.... man that changes ur feeling. Then after a good work out or whatever I do a class. Walk out to a kind face smiling cheek to cheek, with full attention say good to see again have a good night. Now thats just wonderful!! Changing my mood, and helping me feel welcomed and relaxed.... man I am bragging and I dont care these employees are great!! If u want a smile and welcoming hello... You fit is the place!! Great job u you fit employees Im a FOREVER member.

The good: This is a new gym so it is reasonably clean and all equipment works properly. The bad: The gym opened more than a week later than what was initially promised when I signed up. I believe I had initially signed up in late June and was told that the gym would open during the week of July 10, but the gym did not actually open until July 24. This was not a big problem since I was not charged the monthly dues until after the actual opening. When I arrived at the gym on July 24, I was told that they were unable to find my initial paperwork and that they would need to gather my information again. This was not a big problem, but was annoying. Then, I was told that I might be accidentally charged twice since my paperwork had been “sent to the home office” and therefore, the home office might charge my credit card and the local gym was going to charge my credit card. Again, this was a non-issue as I was charged only once, but was very poor customer service. The ugly: YouFit claims that they offer various classes (including kickboxing, yoga, Zumba). I have inquired on a daily basis since July 24 about the class schedules and have been given the following excuses: 1. The schedule will be published and available on August 1. This did not occur. 2. The class instructors have all just returned from a week’s vacation and will be publishing the class schedules (this excuse was heard during the second week of August). 3. Class schedules will be available by August 31 (this did not happen). 4. And finally, yesterday, I was told that the instructors had all been hired and that they would be putting together the class schedule this week. Are these the same instructors that took a week’s vacation the second week of August (before they were actually hired)??? 5. I asked for a telephone number for the corporate offices and was told that there wasn’t one. I wish I could recommend this gym to others, but sadly I cannot recommend that anyone do business with an entity that blatantly lies and/or makes up ridiculous information. Im giving it two stars based on the fact that the facility is new, reasonably clean, and has working equipment.

So I just joined this gym not too long ago, but I move often with my job so I have a lot to compare it to. The place is essentially brand new so the place looks awesome and all the equipment works great and is very up to date. They do a good job of keeping the place clean too so it still looks awesome. They have tons or cardio machines, and enough weights and racks (when its busy I could see there not being enough dumbbells but hours I go everything is great. The staff is very friendly, the sign up/sales portion was the least pushy and annoying of any gym Ive ever joined. For $10 a month this place is a dream! Things to note: They do autodraft from your checking for your monthly charges so you need to take a check or your account and routing numbers, and handing that over might bother some people but they said they will start accepting debit cards in the next few weeks. Also they are going to offer child care service sometime in the next couple of months, not sure how much but its still an awesome feature to have. Overall, new, clean, everything works, friendly staff, literally cant think of anything to complain about. Edit: After almost a year heres my biggest beef: still no childcare. When I signed up they told me they had just been approved and they promised they would have it within six months. That was a big deal for me because my wife was waiting till then to join and workout with me. Month after month they made the same excuse, we just got approved! Just working out the details. It was all a lie. So today I joined another gym with child care, 11 months of being strung along was enough. When I went to cancel they

I canceled my account ten days prior like they request in order to process everything clearly and was still charged for that month. I then contacted youfit on two occasions over the phone where I was told during the first conversation with the "manager" that I was going to be refunded and that it may take a few weeks, three weeks pass and I call again to see whats going on because that seems a little bit ridiculous as far as a waiting time and the young man proceeded to tell me that there was not anything he could do over the phone and that Id have to come in between 11-7 when the "manager" is there. Mind you, I recently had a baby this the reason for my canceling and having to make a trip with my new baby only to discuss this cancellation for the 4th time was not convenient yet I went. I show up there and low and behold the manager wasnt even there he was "on break" at the Mexican restaurant/Bar next store and the girl at the desk told me she wasnt sure how long hed be but she remembered me(she initially is the one who canceled my membership when I came in almost a month prior!) and that she would tell him I came by.. its been over a month now and still no refund. I would not recommend this place just based on the non professionalism.
