This gym is amazing. It is a no-frill gym that is fantastic for building strength and working out with a lot of other people (lots of athletes) that are there because they want to stay in shape, they enjoy a good hard workout, and they do not need the bells and whistles of other gyms. This gym is for those who are there to workout, it is not pretentious at all. It is a weight training gym primarily, and does not have cardio machines (no treadmills or stair steppers or ellipticals). They use other methods, more effective in my experience, to do cardio workouts such as high intensity drills, pushing prowlers, burpees, bungee sprints, etc. The people who manage the gym are awesome. They are very knowledgeable about weight training, and help you learn good form. They are down to earth too and fun people. I have been working out with Michele for 3 months and have not only learned a lot but gained a good friend out of the experience. I have seen noticeable gains in my strength and how I look. I have lost body fat and increased muscle tone. The morning class is great, a great group of people show up every week and each person motivates the other. There is no competition - everyone is working out for their own reasons, but there is motivation among the group. This gym reminds me of the days when I was doing training for sports. It is a tough workout no doubt, but working out hard = results. I would highly recommend the gym to anybody who is willing to work hard and sweat a bit (or a lot). Every trainer I worked with is awesome, Geoff, Zeus, and Michele but I have to give Michele some major credit for showing up every day at 5:30am with a smile and pushing us to work hard and get better. She is a big part of why I go because she is good at what she does and I know I will learn and continue to see results if I keep working with her. I cant say enough wonderful things about this place - give it a try!

East Side Athletic Club is seriously one of the best gyms I have been to in a long time. It is definitely a no frill gym. They have everything from Texas Bars (Power Bar, Deadlift Bar, & Squat Bar), olympic lifting bars, Swiss bars, dumbbells from 5lbs-150lbs, kettle bells, bumper plates, interlocking metal plates, platforms, power racks, tires, sleds, sledge hammers, turf field, I mean you name it and they got it here. Plus they are always open to more ideas and adding stuff on a daily basis. The staff plus the environment is really what makes this place awesome. It is not intimidating when you walk in and the staff really goes out of their way to help you. Geoff is an awesome guy who will literally go out of his way to do anything he can for you and Michelle is an amazing coach who is fun but also knows how to push you to get your workout done. I have found my new home gym and do not plan on going anywhere else. Come check it out!!!

Simply the best gym in Dallas. Not pretentious, not crowded, not dirty. Just a very well laid out gym with the best equipment (Westside Barbell, Legend Fitness, Rogue, Buddy Capps, York, Concept II) for your workout. Excellent coaching available, but its also a superb place to do your own thing -- easy or heavy. This gym is new so the word isnt out yet, but its built like youd build your own ideal gym. Gyms are all different too -- some are about bodybuilders or modeling, some are simply tennis clubs in another guise, but most dont focus on your fitness without all the extra marketing baggage. This place does just focus on your fitness, and thats rare and special. Its also just a couple blocks from Deep Ellum, so you can do a workout and then head over for the best barbecue or pizza in town. This place is a winner.

The pictures really say it all. This isnt a gym for folks who want to do light cardio and machines. The facility is built for strength and conditioning. The coaches are really great and well educated. They train young athletes getting prepped for college or just wanting to improve for the upcoming season. The classes are small, 4-6 people and are always really challenging. I look forward to them and to seeing the other folks who work out there. I can honestly say that of the multiple gyms Ive tried in Dallas, I actually think I can hit my fitness goals here.

Ive seen some negative comments about the new owner of the gym, whom Ive known personally for over four years. They simply cant be true. I liked both the previous and new owners. I like the vibe at Eastside. Its a great gym and Im looking forward to the improvements I know are coming. If you need a gym in Dallas central, this is it.

If I could give this gym 6 stars, I would. Its honestly the best gym Ive seen in the DFW area, and I couldnt be more impressed. It has everything you would be looking for in a strength and conditioning gym and more (not too much the even less common things like the Reverse Hyper and Belt Squat). I cant recommend this place enough.

In LOVE with this gym! its not your regular "joe shmo"kind of place. There are no cardio machines, but that doesnt mean you cant get some good cardio in! This place is for men AND WOMEN who are serious about getting fit. Dont be intimidated though, everyone there is fun and friendly with good vibes all around.
