Late last year, our 78 year-old mother began to have problems living on her own, and it became clear that my siblings and I needed to move her out of her home and into an assisted living situation. Tricky enough on its own, but to make things more challenging, we decided it would be best for her if we moved her to Amarillo where my sister and brother lived--a six-hour drive from where Mom lived in Dallas. As is typical of many older people, our mother had lived in her three-bedroom home for several decades and was fairly settled in with a lot of large pieces of furniture, framed art and photos, many small, breakable keepsakes, and a lot of glassware. I live across the country in an entirely different state than my Mom and siblings, even so, I volunteered to research moving companies and solicit estimates for us to choose from. I spent a good bit of time on line looking at moving companies and reading reviews and at some point during that search I came upon The Moving Factor. I was impressed with the high reviews and excellent customer comments so they immediately went to the top of my list of the four potential movers I would contact. I called all four and got written estimates from three companies, but was most impressed with Sean Factor and The Moving Factor. My sister and mother met with Sean when he visited her house to assess the job for his estimate, and they too felt very comfortable with Sean, the questions he asked, his attention to detail, and his professional demeanor. Eventually, even though they weret the lowest estimate we received, we decided to have Sean and his crew handle our Moms move. And were all very glad we did. In early January, my wife and I flew to Dallas to be there for the packing and loading in case there were any questions or problems, so we were there when Sean and his guys showed up on schedule, on time, worked for hours to carefully wrap and pack all of Moms furniture and belongings, and were all polite and considerate throughout the process. They gently loaded the truck to the top, closed the door and headed out…to drive six hours north to Amarillo. The next morning they met Mom and my siblings at the assisted living facility and quickly but carefully unloaded everything into two separate locations per our requests. And after unloading everything, they jumped back into the truck and headed back to Dallas. Throughout everything, the Moving Factor guys were kind and courteous to my dear old Mom and my disabled sister and everything made it through the move and into Moms new place in perfect condition. Sean stuck to his estimate and delivered on everything he had promised, and turned out to be a genuinely good guy to boot. I would highly recommend that you work with Sean and his crew with the Moving Factor, I think youll be happy you did. Good luck with YOUR move! Sincerely, Jay and Cathy A long way from Texas in Minnesota

THIS IS NOT A PROFESSIONAL MOVING COMPANY! I hired them for a afternoon move account I was closing on my new home in the morning. As I was sitting in closing signing paperwork I got a call stating they were about to be at my home. I informed the driver I would not be there until noon and that I was scheduled for a move later in the day. Minutes after that I got a call from an irate Sean (owner) basically yelling at me about how they dont allow you to choose the time of your move and how he was going to send his drivers home ect. The entire room could here this man yelling at me . I eventually had to hang up on him. 2 mins later I received a text from him stating that they will be there between noon and 1, he sent them to do another job first. I should have just canceled then but I was desperate to get moved that day account I had already sold my home and the new owners were scheduled to move in. The movers were very friendly young guys but seemed to be in a hurry since it was a Friday and the their last move of the day. By the end of it our refrigerator had 3 dents on the front, a large dent on the side. Our executive office desk had a large scratch all the way across the front and our dresser had scratches on both sides. I filled out a damage report which I later found out turned up "missing" from Molly who works in the office. I sent photos with of the damages with no response. This company was so unprofessional. Terrible experience and I would highly recommend looking elsewhere on your next move!!!

"WOW"! Let me start with, Im often a tough consumer critic. I work hard for the little money I have, so I am familiar with the value of a dollar and how far it can be stretched. The value of the work The Moving Factor does is priceless. I had a VERY slim budget and enough belongings to fill a single family home. I didnt start looking to schedule a mover until a week before I actually wanted to move. I tried search engines and spoke with several companies who couldnt quote me in advance and/or were way above my budget. The Moving Factor responded to my online quote request the same afternoon. They met my NTE budget amount with no squabble (still shocked and super happy about this). They reached out a few days before my move to confirm our time. I got a call the morning of the move letting me know they were on their way. The guys were on time, respectful, had tremendous attitudes, and moved like lightning! An entire 10x20 storage unit emptied in under an hour AND they wrapped ALL of my furniture and sensitive items. Like I said... WOW. I fully expected and was prepared for a few speed bumps. You have to be. If youve ever personally moved all of your belongings then you know, its not even remotely easy. The Moving Factor pulled my move off without so much as a single hiccup. For that I am sincerely grateful. Thank you guys for an AMAZING job!

This is my second time using The Moving Factors services. Sean and Stephanie were amazing. I used them previously a couple of years ago for a move and loved the service so much I went back for seconds. I called them up and was surprised that Stephanie remembered my name and many details of my previous move! Really makes you feel like a name and not a number. Sean and the guys were meticulous, yet swift with the packing, loading and unloading and the entire process only took a day from start to finish! Had I done this with a friend or two, easily a 2 or 3 day affair, with a lot of nicked furniture and potentially other broken items. Seriously folks, honest-to-god these are just damn good people. Super enjoyable to work with, and I could not find a better price:value ratio anywhere. When I inevitably move again in a few years, they could charge me 50% more and the premium would be worth it. Thank you guys, truly!

We did not have a good experience with The Moving Factor. When Sean Factor and the crew move our new stainless steel fridge out of the old house into storage, he created three dents in the fridge. Also, we reserved a bigger storage than he recommended but his crew still had a hard time fitting everything in the storage. I told Sean my concerns with the storage conditions when I saw several paintings unwrapped. He assured me that he would be there to check it out when we move everything out of the storage to our new home. But he did not show up. When we unpacked all the boxes at the new house, many things were broken and a few paintings were cracked at the glass frame. I emailed him our complaints and pictures of the broken items. However, we did not receive any communication back to address our concerns.
