**Cardio area - There are several rows of cardio machines to give your heart a workout. A row of bikes, two of ellipticals, two of treadmills, and some stair climbers in the back. Pretty abundant. Most of the cardio machines are in good, modern condition. Machines look clean, not sure if the gym disinfects the handles often because of course; sweat, germs, coughs, the nose picker, etc. **Weight area - The back row of leg workout machines are really old. It works but a bunch of old equipment doesnt do a good job of presenting the gym in a modern manner. From the looks of it, people also rarely use these machines probably because they dont look appealing. Im sure with all the revenue 24HR gets, they could take out these virtually unused, chunky, old equipment and buy machines that are more common, modern, and popularly used. Right now, the back row of leg workout machines are just taking up space where there could be better equipment. Due to people not using these machines, the squat racks and other more up-to-date machines can get congested during rush hours. There is a row of benchpress equipment: three regular benchpresses , 2 incline benchpresses, and only one decline benchpress. These of course, you put however many plates you want on it. This area gets really crowded with people swarming to get the next available bench. In front of the benchpress equipment is the wall with all the freeweights along with regular benches and inclined seats to do dumbell workouts. The weight area in general has some good machines, some semi-modern and some that are obviously from the 90s. So, could some of the weight machines use an upgrade? Yeah. Is it clean? Nothing is ever clean at ANY gym. Dumbells and plates are usually scattered around the floor during rush hour and when weightlifters dont have the courtesy to rack the weights back to where they came from. EVERY gym has this problem, so I wont hold it exclusively to 24 Hour. The employees usually re-rack the weights overnight. So its nice and tidy in the morning again. Every gym is bound to have weights lying on the floor once in a while. The flooring of the gym, especially where the bench and free weights are could definitely be renewed. The rubber floor, like anything else on this planet, gets beaten from wear and tear. People drop weights on the floor, dig their heels into the ground when theyre really into their workout, etc. Some parts of the rubber floor are completely worn out to the point where you see the wood-flooring underneath. So new rubber flooring would be nice, and contributes to safety. **Swimming Pool - like any other pool at any other gym (same size as LA Fitness on HWY 6). It has 4 lanes, needs better lighting, has a hot tub, and two sauna rooms. The deepest the pool goes to is 5 feet (same as LA) for safety reasons I believe. Hot tub is pretty big. **Mens Locker Room/Shower Room - The locker room is as similar to LAs. The floor is usually clean, but as we know, rush hour it can get messy. The bathroom definitely needs some air fresheners in it. Most of the time it doesnt smell great in there. The locker room is *usually* fine. The shower stalls have frosted glass, closeable doors. Occasionally they run out of soap in the dispensers. LA Fitness on HWY 6 has shower curtains. This place also has a machine where you toss your clothes in and it dries wet clothes within 30 seconds. LA doesnt have it. Rush hour is very very busy. Between the hours of 5PM-8PM. Weekdays are more crowded than weekends.

Been going for about 7 months. Got a great deal from Costco. Overall, I like the gym. Here are some random notes on the place. Clientele is very diverse. They just added kettle bells and a VRS system which is great. The weight-based or boot camp classes after 5 pm seem to always be super packed and are primarily full of women. The spinning and yoga classes seem to always have room. The desk people are cool, most are very friendly. Actually, I have never had a bad experience with one of them. If you go right after work it is pretty packed in the free weights and machines area but that is to be expected. Locker room could be better. Many of the lockers have cracked or broken latches for the locks. They look like they would still work but it makes you think they were broken trying to get broken into. The toilet area can get pretty nasty. I dont think you can help it with as many people that go to the gym but more frequent cleaning would be great. Also, kind of weird but that separate room with the toilets is always super stuffy and hot. I think they are trying to get you out of there before you do too much damage. Most equipment is fairly updated. There were some TVs out for a while which was pretty annoying. Also, several of the headphone jacks for the cardio equipment dont work or are spotty. Lastly, if you are going to play basketball I hope you are used to a lot of trash talking. Most of the time it is not just a friendly game. Almost every time I head into the locker room I peak in the gym and and usually you someone is always griping and yelling about a foul or something and you think a fight is gonna break out. I am from a small town so maybe this is just how it goes down in a big city but seem out of place at a gym. Also, it is a full court gym but there are not just the 10 guys playing but at least another 20 or 30 hanging around the side of the courts. I am not sure if it is the amount of people or ventilation, but my goodness, when you walk through the doors into the basketball area, there is crazy body odor. If you stand in there for 5 minutes you get acclimated but it was pretty shocking the first time.

Ive been member at this location for around 2 years and hit the gym roughly 4 times a week. I choose to remain a member solely due to the fact that its around the corner from my home and has a large selection of equipment. If you are looking to become a member at this location this is what you should know, at least in my opinion. If plan on working out between the hours of 10am and 10pm, Monday thru Friday, forget it! This gym starts getting busy after 10am and doesnt slow down. I absolutely refuse to visit the gym in the afternoon, the only suitable time I have found to workout is at 5am. If Working out with the masses, wanna be body builders, randoms off the street and people with poor hygiene doesnt bother you, then this gym is for you. The gym also becomes a mess after the early AM hours, they have one long rack of dumb bells which are never returned and are always scattered throughout the gym. No one bothers to return or un-rack their weights when finished, Ive spent more time looking for weights and and waiting on equipment to free up than I do working out (except at 5am, I only have to look for weights). The staff is generally friendly at 5am, they say hi and hangout behind the counter but Ive never seen them returning un-used weights to racks or wiping down equipment. Its not like LA or the YMCA where they are always clean the equipment and picking up weights. The facility is basically the same as most gyms, lockers, showers, etc... my biggest complaint here is he dumb hand dryers that are worthless in the locker room. I dont understand how they have paper towels all over the gym to wipe down equipment and then have worthless blow dryers to dry your hands in the rest room. Just put paper towels in the restroom, not hard. Ive been a member of several gyms in the past 10yrs from Golds to the Y. This gym gets 2 stars from me based on my experiences. They do well with the large equipment selection but fail on cleanliness, organization, personnel and enforcing any type of rules.
