WE ARE SO IMPRESSED!!!! WHAT AN AMAZING GYM!!!! My 7 and 8 year daughters wanted to sign up for competitive cheer, but I was so worried about my 7 year old, in a class with 7-11 years olds, she has had very little training. Both my husband and I thought it could be devastating to her self esteem, we were very concerned. Birons offered a performance team (non-competitive 5-8 year olds) and thought this would be ideal for her, but she was not having any of it!! She wanted to be on the team with her big sister. So I called Birons beforehand, and spoke with a young lady named Courtney, told her I would buy her lunch, if she could talk to my daughter, and try to convince her to do performance cheer. Courtney was quick to say, no need to buy me lunch, we do this kind of thing all the time. So, the first day of practice, we went to the gym, and asked for Courtney. Holly cow!!! Courtney deserves an academy award!!!! She spoke with my daughter, telling her coach Rob had a team that she would be fabulous on!! And how coach Rob was so excited, and on and on and on she went..... I thought, slam dunk!!!! Job done!!!!! But unfortunately it did not work (no fault of Courtney, I dont know how she could have done a better job!!). My daughter was insistent on doing competitive cheer. So I felt I had no choice, and I allowed her to go into the first practice class. She did terrible!!! Exactly what my husband and I was afraid of!!! Oh, and Courtney had coach Rob abreast of our concernes and our situation from before we came in, and also while we were there. Courtney even spoke with my husband on the phone, while all this was taking place!! I know, I know!! But we were very concerned. So at the end the class, coach Rob invited Avery to come back to try another (performance) class the following day. Needless to say, my 7 year old was deflated :(. My husband and I talked her into following through with the invite for class the next day. We went, she was more in her league, but by far not the best in the class. So you know what coach Rob did? He made her the captain of the team!!!!! Im surmising Rob knew what my 7 year old was feeling, not being able to make the competive team, he must have known she was heartbroken, even though she was not showing it. What coach Rob did flipped everything over on its head, my daughter is on cloud nine!!!!!!! Thank you so very much coach Rob and Courtney!!!! We are sooooo impressed, from parents who are NOT easily impressed!!!! Let me also mention, we came in blind, no referral, I knew no one at this gym. We have been only coming 2 weeks now. I had been in upper management most of my adult life (Mercedes) this kind of atmosphere normally comes from the top down, so Im guessing this place in awesome all the way around!!! And I should mention, all above took place, before we officially signed up, and before we even paid for anything!

The sole issue i had with this place is the lack of care they took of my daughter on her first day. I made it be known that my daughter and family had absolutely no experience in gymnastics. They had the kids in her group rotating through obstacles but never bothered to show my child how to do anything. She didnt know how to do a hand stand cart wheel nothing. I told them zero experience. They said the beginner class was appropriate. Her class was way in the back so i could barely see her. Long story short my kid ended up with an abdominal strain that took a little bit to heal up. She also had pain in her back from falling so much when she attempted to do what her group was doing. They did not supervise her while she was doing these things to have the oppurtunity to correct her. They just threw her in with kids who knew how to do things. Again she had no experience and no instructiom from the group instructor. After a trip to the pcp and healing time shes fine today. All in all the owner refunded the money. Which im glad he did because she wasnt released to go back to even complete the month. I was very surprised that i didnt have to fight for a refund. So that being said any company where the owner is heavily involved must be reputable. The staff at the front desk was very nice and attentive. But I suppose they are not accustomed to dealing with a 8 yr old in a beginners class who doesnt know anything. So if your child has experience this would be a good place ...but if your child has zero absolutely none i suppose try extra hard make sure they show him or her how to do things properly to avoid injury. Or consider another gym that takes care for new clients to gymnastics.. .making sure athletes have proper form is part of basic health and safety in any sport...teaching proper form was completely skipped for my kid. It is quite possible that this was an isolated event since all of the kids appeared happy there but its not so easy to swallow when your kid is that one isolated event.

My daughter had her birthday party at Birons last year. It was ok, but not extraordinary. The staff seemed not very experienced and forgot part of the program that was advertised on the website (face painting). Despite this experience, my daughter wanted to go back there for her birthday this year, since she loves gymnastics. This time we couldnt even book because the administration is so poorly organized. When I called they could not explain me the different types of birthday parties, but took note of the date and time and stated we had a valid reservation. When I finally managed to actually speak with the person responsible for event organization (about a month later), it turned out that we had no valid reservation since we had not put down a deposit. I had offered to put down a deposit every time I called, but was told I should wait to speak to the event organizer... Long story short: the date and time we wanted was booked by someone else and were having a party at the Little Gym this year ;-)!

Horible experience! I booked the class for my daughter. I had to call back to re-schedule. I called 6am on the day of the class which was at 4:45pm. Left a meesage and nobody got back to me. I called the place and they kept saying the class was at 4:30pm not 4:45pm and could not find my daughter registered. I started doubting that was the place but since no email was sent I had no way of checking. I resorted to looking into y credit card statement and confirmed that the place was correct. Called back left a message saying we could not make it, as nobody would pick up. The next day I called and I got told that I did not provide an email (nobody asked me for it when I paid) and that there would be no refund or consideration to the fact that I was trying to reschedule. Horrible customer service, not worth the hassle. All that for USD 33.

Great Gymnastics Facility with qualified instructors. We have sent our three kids to Biron for summer camps for last 3 years, they loved it. We, as parents, like the safe, clean and active environment that Biron offers. Their instructors are qualified and encourage kids to practice active lifestyles by teaching them a number of gymnastic activities at the proper level that kids love and master by the end of the summer camp. We are really please with the attention provided to both our kids and to us as parents and recommend Biron Youth Sports center to all parents.
