SHADY BUSINESS! WILL SWINDLE WHENEVER POSSIBLE! Key points: Fees, stipulations, underhanded Comcast style contract. Dirty locker room/bathroom. Not enough dumbbells or plate weights. Total of one 2-3 person wide mat for stretching/yoga/floor workouts in whole gym. Background: I joined because $10 a month didnt seem like a lot and it was close to home, but there was a $100 activation. I canceled because of the following explanation of gym conditions because the two 24 fitness gyms on either side are MUCH better. Gym: It appeared to have lots of machines and free weights with heavier dumbbells than Planet Fitness. Unfortunately, during any high traffic time, this place gets swamped and NO ONE PUTS WEIGHTS BACK! There is generally at least 2 people lifting weights that you cant get within 15 feet of without smelling their terrible body odor. The actual weights, bars, and machines are OK though. Shady Business: When I canceled, March 6th, they claimed they need 30 days for "processing" aka: they want to charge me for another month because they can, absolutely no other reason. So, I received a call April 7th to call them back, which I did. Apparently, my payment didnt go through on April 3rd when they charged me their $10 "just cuz" month because I got a new credit card. SO, they waited until the 7th, when my payment is now late, to call me and tell me that I owe $21 because of their late fee, which happens basically as soon as the payment doesnt go through. I have had lots of memberships and bills, this is by far the most absurd, rivals overdraft fees on debit cards in irrationality.

Ive been to this location multiple times before and I thought it was okay. I was getting customer service worth $10 a month so it wasnt great but it got the job done. The machines are older than the Sugar Land location. The womens locker room is bigger but a lot of things are covered in yellow out of service papers. I was recently turned off by my visit in May 2016. You turn into a parking lot sprinkled by broken window glass every couple parking spaces. I didnt want to leave my car and work out because I was scared my car would be broken into when I didnt even have anything valuable in it. When I walked, I was pleasantly surprised that I was greeted. As soon as you walk away from the check-in desk though, the atmosphere isnt as welcoming. Those working out stare you down hard, for what reason, I couldnt tell. I went directly to the locker room to change and was made even more uncomfortable by the warning signs found inside of the lockers to not leave valuables inside. Whats the point of a locker then? I had no where else to put my purse or change of clothes. I did not even work out at this facility at my most recent visit. Next time I have to come changed, not walk in with a purse (i.e. Make myself a target), and leave anything I cant carry around the gym in the trunk before I leave the house or leave it at home. All the broken glass in the parking lot and the warning signs were strong signs to stay away from this location. Ill make the longer drive to the Sugar Land location, where I have never had to worry about locker or car break-ins.

This is the classic instance where you are really supposed to say "You get what you pay!!" Except that its not quite like that. Their $10 is actually about $11 something because of taxes. Thats fine, it still is $11 per month. Nothing, right? Then there is a close to $40 annual fee that according to them helps pay for machines and staff. What about my $90 that I payed to sign up? So break that down and you are actually paying $21.83 per month on the first year and $14 + per month all the other years. So their $10 doesnt really hold up. Anyways, still cheaper than other clubs. However, what you have to put up with while working out here is probably not worth not even their $14 a month. Cleanliness is not really kept up here. Ive been a member of Ymca and Lafitness and been to 24 many times and this club is by far the worst. There is not nearly enough workout equipment. Most of the time its a scavenger haunt throughout the facility to find a dumbbell, a pull rope or a bar. Not Nice. Some individuals occupy 4 or more pieces of equipment at once. Really? Some play their music out loud on speakers with utter disregard towards other members and others still couldnt care less about the "no weights in here" posted outside the sauna. So, I guess what I am trying to say is; once you are in, you are on your own. Literally! Not gonna stay for long here. Much rather spend a bit more somewhere else but get a decent place to workout at.

At first I was like, hey, 10$ a month, its not perfect but usable, gets the job done. But as I floated around and tried their other locations, well....The machines are here are quite old, they need to renovate and put brand new ones. I suffer of heat exhaustion when on cardio machines, they need to pump up the AC, its like they trying to save on the electric bill or something. Need Wi-Fi. Customer service is lacking, most of the employees ignore you or avoid eye contact. No classes offered at this location. The location is a bit sketchy...Worst of all I got my car window smashed and broken into, but then they have signs inside the gym that say dont leave ur valuables in the locker so...hmm. When I adressed the break in with the "operations manager" working there at the time she looked completely disinterested and was just rushing to get home. I asked about camera footage and they said they were not the ones who record and do not know who records. If u look well u will see shattered glass on the ground outside the gym, so car break ins are probably common. Absolutely clueless incompetent staff. I dont think they need any qualifications to work there. I am truly disappointed. They need security patrol and updates or this is just for ghetto rats.

This is my first time posting a comment anywhere, just had to! The American Society today is just full of whiners who complain about everything. Everyone has an opinion on everything, even stuff they know nothing about. Its like pple go out looking for things to complain about. Perfection does not exist anywhere, besides if working out is what you are looking for, this gym is 10/10. If customer service or something else is what you are looking for, maybe you are in the wrong place. I signed up once, four years ago and havent had to talk to a single soul after that. I sign in, work out, and go home and get charged $10 a month. Its that simple. Life isnt as complicated as a lot of pple make it sound like. The Gym is extremely clean, have all the weights and treadmills I need. PERIOD!!!! I also have a membership with 24hr fitness. Its too packed most of the time, and its not as clean. But so what, they have all the equipments I need, so I go there after midnight sometimes. Maybe if you concentrate on the reason you are there in the first place, youll achieve your goals.

Unprofessional and very rude management and sales staff! They gym is big and looks nice (its new). The gym has lots of equipment but it is so busy most of the time that you will have to wait 5-10 minutes to use a particular piece of equipment. I didnt particularly like the crowd that the place attracts either, when I was leaving there were two guys fighting on the parking lot! I got a 5 day pass and I only went here because this is where a friend of mine works out and we both need spotters. The manager and his sales staff acted like used car salesmen and tried to use pressuring and even insulting sales techniques to get me to pay the $99 initiation fee, when I refused, one of the guys said "thats okay not everyone can afford our gym" --- Are you kidding me? I told him that I had nothing to prove to him and now they wont get my business. Additionally my friend will cancel his membership as well and well go work out at another gym where well be vauled as customers.
