This is my first time writing a review.I never feel like its needed but I decided to go ahead and express how I feel about this place..Sunday I decided to get a halo braid so I arrived at the shop at 11:00 A.M. NO ONE WAS THERE. This should have been my first sign that this was going to go bad because the sign says they open at 11:00am. (My mother is an owner of a daycare therefore, I know that owners should at least be IN THE BUILDING BEFORE THE OPENING TIME or at least have someone in there to open the shop at the opening time). nonetheless, while waiting I decided to call the number on the door to make sure someone was not in the back or I could have been the owners personal number. I called the number about 3 times and left a message. Someone finally called me back and said "they were in the building". By this time three other cars drove up beside me and it was 11:30. Everyone is standing outside conversing about the situation and how unprofessional the place is! In the back of my head I know that I cant go anywhere else its Sunday and I had previously brought tickets to an event that started at 1:30:(. About 11:53 a car drove up and it was a guy and a young small girl (I think it was either his little sister or cousin). They got out of the car and opened the building and did not speak or even acknowledge the fact that we had been standing outside and waiting in our cars for about 50 min! We get inside and the young girl starts on my halo braid. She starts then stops and starts over about 3 times but I was thinking that maybe she was possibly getting her hand grip together seeing that she looked like she just got out of the bed! So I didnt say anything I let her finish and I realized that my head did not feel tight at all nor did I feel any tension for my braid. She finished my hair and I sat under the dryer for about 15 minutes and when I was done I looked in the mirror and IT WAS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED..my hair was sticking up my baby hair was not even laying down and the color (blonde) throughout my braid was not even! I asked her if the owner or manger was there she said "no". So I said ok I will call later to talk to her .by this time its 1:00 so I had to go to my event. After my event ended I called four times NO ONE ANSWERED. My mom called once they answered and we realized THEY BLOCKED ME! My mom explained to her the situation and she said come back tomorrow (Monday). Monday comes and we drove up only two women sitting there NO ONE SAYS anything (as you can see in the previous review) so we get their attention and tell them the situation. The lady calls the owner on the phone and she said she was on the way and 25 min away.Mind you this was 12:10. We sat there waiting for her till 1:30. By this time we dont even want there services I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK!. She drives up and sits in the car for about 10 minutes until my mom had to get her out the car! She comes in the shop and my mom explains to her what is going on and how we heat want our money back. She insists that they do not do refunds just a redo of the service. She ask me for a receipt and I tell her that your employers did not give me a receipt because obviously they did not know how to do Manuel receipts. To make a long story short we argued with them for about 15 min and I was so over the situation that I walked out because at the end of the convo she even agreed that MY HAIR LOOKED BAD.! Therefore I was so done with them.! Ive never begged anyone in my life not go to such a place as far as business wise but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE save your time and energy with this place its not worth it their attitudes suck! They lie as your can see! They are never on time! And the place is dirty! Oh and by they way they get there employees to write the "nice reviews" if you see the name Charlette lewhe or something like that SHE WORKS THERE.! She did my moms hair a while ago..As well as Naffissatou Diabate and Montoya Harris ISSA FAKE REVIEW;)

I went in today to get 4 braids done. I came in told them I want four big cornrows (Ive had them done within an hour by them previously) the lady claims she can do it told me shed do it right now. she wouldve had an hour and a half for her to do four braids on me. I told her I have card. She said she only takes cash. I go to get cash and when I come back, I see them allowing someone to pay by card. I ignore it, I have my cash and I am in my seat to get my hair done. She says my hair is too tangled, and is looking for detangler. She comes back to tell me her manager is living I have to pay now and then she can continue. I paid. She begins practically snatching my roots out of my head instead of using detangler then asks me to do it myself while she gets the hair ready for the braids. Because I was in pain and Im tender headed I did not mind untangling my own hair. She proceeds to give me the blow dryer to blow dry my own hair and I look back and she is sitting down eating while I am in a salon in HER CHAIR doing my hair. Is that. Not ridiculous! Then I ask her will she be finished with my hair by 2:30 she gets mad and claims Im rushing her. It was 1:48, I came in at 1:05. She let 43 minutes pass and hadnt event attempted to do my hair yet. Mind you, its four simple braids. Then I ask for my money back and she calls her managers and claims (in French) I dont want to have my hair done anymore. Then when I requested for her managers number, she said she doesnt have it AFTER she had just gotta off of her cell phone with her. She gave me the money back and says "from now on, only get your hair done by someone else. When you come in this store do not sit in my chair. I will not do for you" AS IF I WAS IN THE WRONG AND AS IF SHE GAVE ME GRADE A CUSTOMER SERVICE. It was ridiculous. Her name is Ama. (Pronounced ay-ma) if you do get your hair done there do not go to her. She cannot do hair and is only worried about her commission. Anybody who procrastinates and can not simply detangler hair should NEVER have a cosmetology license. If she even has one. The second star is for the one time my hair was done well. She was phenomenal. Shes a college girl there with amazing manners. Only reason they earned two stars.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The staff is very rude. You walk in, no one say anything. Dont make an appointment because they dont write it down.They just look at you and talk in their language as if you are not welcome there. You come to this place willing to pay your hard earned money to these people but they are very rude and have very nasty attitudes. They talk about their customers when they leave and in the presence of other customers and they are very judgemental. The place if very dirty you cant walk around without dragging other people hair around. They ask you to pay before even completing a portion of your hair just to start on other customers hair that came hours after you. I was there from 11am- 9:30pm. Never have I ever received poor customer service like this. This place is an embarrassment. Not to mention my hair only been up a week and about 10 of my braids done already came out. Never again!
