I began attending classes at the Dahn Yoga Center in Scottsdale two months ago, and it has been a positive force of change in my daily life. As an older dancer, I was looking for a class where I could stretch, strengthen, and maintain my flexibility in a caring, supportive environment. Spiritually, I knew I also desperately needed to include meditation in my daily life because I have traveled intimately with my Mother on her personal journey with Alzheimers Disease for over 13 years. Then one day I walked into the Dahn Yoga Center to see what they offered. After one class, I realized that I found both the physical training that my body needed and the spiritual support that my heart longed for. The hour workout challenges each individuals personal level in a positive supportive environment where each student is treated with respect and care. The energy is high and engaging. My flexibility has increased remarkably; my hands, which had felt tight and stiff, perhaps even mildly arthritic feel much better; and my spirit has become centered, peaceful, happy and present in the moment. The teachers and my fellow students have given me a gift of community. We are encouraged to smile through the strenuous exercises and to greet our fellow students with a smile; we are invited to relax and open up our hearts and spirits in an amazing period of meditation; and we end with a tea ceremony! My day is graced with hugs, smiles, energetic effort and calming breath work and I feel better than I have in years. Thank you Dahn Yoga Scottsdale Center Staff and fellow students being in my life.

Im so thankful for hearing about Body & Brain from my massage therapist at Relax Station(If you need a massage this is the Best place for a massage!!!) who recommended going over to meet Virginia at Body & Brain after telling her how my anxiety has just gotten worse and I could barely drive and how I was struggling to feel good around my family. I started going and within a week I was feeling a big difference. I remained going for 3 months and loved it and actually started to feel like my old self after 3 years of battling the anxiety and many doctor visits that never went anywhere except for more medication that I did not want to take. My family was so happy to see me happy again and feeling better. But then I had to stop going this past month or so to pay for some personal stuff and boy oh boy did I go down hill again within a month. I am a total mess again.... and I went yesterday to sign up again because this is the only place that has ever given me relief from my anxiety. After going back last night, It gave me so much relief!!!! I cant wait to start feeling like myself again! Oh and I have one more thing to say...lol! I have taken Yoga at different Athletic clubs before in Kingwood, but this type of Yoga is totally different and its amazing how much of a difference you feel mentally. I never got that from any other yoga class I had taken before. So I am very thankful and very thankful for Virginia for always being so good to me by asking me how I am feeling before and after class. She also makes the best tea in the world! :)

Practicing Yoga was on my New Years resolution list for a number of years until the fateful Saturday that I got a haircut next to the Body and Brain studio and stopped in. That was ~ 4 months ago and I must say that doing this has changed my life for the better. My limberness has improved dramatically and mentally I am more focused and overall more relaxed and less stressed when confronted with many of lifes challenges. Virgina is a wonderful teacher who continues to challenge you mentally and physically. She recognizes your limits and knows when to stop. The class size varies yet every night she provides individual assistance to improve your techniques. If you are thinking about Yoga, I would highly recommend that you stop in and check it out.

I havent been going to Body & Brain for very long (since June), but I can already tell a difference in my flexibility and balance. Ill soon be 68 years old and I have arthritis in all of my major joints and back. I felt like I needed to do something to improve my mobility before it was too late. I still have a long way to go, but I think that Body & Brain is going to help me to become healthier and more confident. The classes are very challenging and since each class is always a little different, they never become routine. An added bonus, that I hadnt counted on, is that the classes are also great for melting away stress-induced aches and pains. Im so glad that I am doing this for myself.

I love going to Kingwood Body & Brain yoga! It has certainly changed my life! After hearing that doing yoga is very helpul for people like me with MS, I am very happy to say that, after going to yoga for more than 2 years, I have been seeing very positive results.! Both my walking and balance issues have improved! Yoga is not only great for challenging and increasing ones physical abilities, but it also increases emotional and mental awareness. Thank you to Virginia!!!! She is an informative, compassionate and supportive instructor. Her warmth makes everyone feel special and successful regardless of ability. Im so happy I found both yoga and Virginia! I highly recommend this class!

This is a brilliant overall lifestyle program, covering deep stretching, breathing, brain wave vibration and meditation. It is by far the most effective program that I have come across after years of dabbling with meditation and yoga. In fact the results are just astounding. Im a much more positive, calm, happier person than I was 7 months ago. I have a totally different perspective on life. Ive made changes to my life that seemed unthinkable just a few months ago. I no longer have back problems and I really look forward to every day. I feel a profound sense of gratitude for coming across Body and Brain. Just a brilliant life-changing program!

I cant express the gratitude I experienced at Kingwood Body & Brain. I walked to the center feel so miserable and sad, I thought my life has come to an end and had no solution. I was so stressed out, I honestly fault so much better after taking the first class. I fault so relaxed and stress free, I could believe it. It was so true and so much helpful. I started to attend class often and with each class I fault better and better. I highly recommend you to stop and experience a class for yourself. I started doing yoga about 7 months ago. It has been absolutely wonderful mentally and physically. I no longer have problems sleeping and feel more energetic during the day. It is definitely helping to relax my upper body, where a majority of my stress had been contained. Since starting yoga, a massage is not a requirement but an enjoyment! I am continually learning to be more flexible and open my joints, which has helped my hip and I am no longer plagued with elbow problems. Virginia is a great instructor and the atmosphere is totally relaxing and stress free! I love attending classes and enjoy the many people I have met .
