Something has drastically changed within Riya. I am going through so much stress this time with my ticketing needs. I have used them for three years, but this time it is unimaginably unprofessional and they are giving me a very tough time. Have called them over 10 times within this week and working with at least five different contact persons telling my story and asking for a resolution. - I had to change my ticket due to a family emergency. They did not take my case seriously at all. Usually for a new ticket they will call you immediately and help with booking. I dont know if this is because it is change in existing ticket. - I said it is very urgent and one person said yes tickets are available for 3 of the days in the week I wanted and he said someone will call back for assistance. - No one called back. I called back within one hour and another person said he could not see any tickets at all except for a date with itinerary. He said I can discuss with my wife and get back. When I called back within 30 minutes, they said the ticket was no longer available to my surprise. I asked why they didnt hold my booking, they said it was not possible. Usually they do hold the ticket for a day when they tell you to take time and respond. This time they didnt warn me neither inform they could hold until the ticket was gone. But that person said he will email to the airlines to release the tickets and someone within 1 hr will update me. I waited for two hours and then when I called back, the shift was already over for the previous person and someone else takes the call. They dont know anything about this conversation and they say it was never possible to release the ticket if they email airlines.. Bunch of inconsistent messages and finally got ticket for one of the dates in another airline because the analyst said I can cancel my original ticket for a refund. - I am still working on the refund for 5 days now and no word. They are saying it will five weeks to get the money but I have to pay for the other ticket I bought and I am going to be defaulting the payment date. Very unfortunate to see the service quality is so poor now. Once you book a ticket, you are at the mercy of them.

Working with Riya you will come across bunch of unprofessional agents who will give you false information to make you buy the tickets from them. Case-1 i.e. I came across an agent named Gaganpreet Kaur, sold me the ticket for Etihad airways which had a overnight lay over in Abu Dhabi stating the airlines will give a hotel for the halt. Later when I called airlines they informed, EY never provides overnight hotels on this route. Ever since I am trying to contact Gaganpreet, through emails no response. I call the number and am informed that she has left the agency. The second time I call I am informed that she still works at Riya. Not sure who to believe. Case -2 I had last minute changes in my travel plans and had to change the destination/dates of travel. I called in and explain agent on what I needed to change. I was asked to wait for 24 hours and agent will come back to me with the updated travel itinerary. I waited 24 hours no response. I called in again, and I speak to 2-3 different people explaining the situation. I was now informed by agenct-5 that I will definably have response within 24 hours,. I am patiently waiting for the agenct-5 with in 24 hour window but never received a call.. I ended caling Riya looking for why agent-5 has not responded.. just to learn that agent-5 is on a holiday. Never the less, airlines wont entertain me since booking was done through Riya travel… and agents at Riya travels are not worth your valuable time. Again, very unprofessional attitude, pure waste of time; Save yourself the frustration and do it your self.. they are so many travel websites that can do the job just fine.

We have been visiting India every year since 2006. However, we did not get a chance to refresh our memories of Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur since 1978. So in 2014, we decided to contact Riya Travel to setup the Golden Triangle tour. Jagruti at the agency worked really hard to arrange our trip. Everyone at Riya was very helpful. We made numerous changes over three months of planning and Jagruti responded quickly. Our trip was successful and everything went very well as planned. It is important to have very good driver. Our driver Baljit Singh was EXCELLENT. If you are planning a trip in India via Riya, request for Baljit. We will use Riya travel again and recommend Riya travel if you are planning any trip.

I have used Riya Travels 5-6 times so far - usually for booking USA-India return tickets for a family of 4. The quality of service has been consistently good and I have found that the ticket pricing is better than any other travel / airline website. As I like a business to earn my business each time, I do a quick price check every time I book (Kayak / Cheapoair/ justfly/ google travel)- especially with 4 tickets, even a small price differential can quickly add up. Riyas prices are consistently lower and they are very responsive to emails or phone calls. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

We are very much pleased with Riya travels, we got into a problem in our travel while coming from Hyderabad to Dallas, Riya travels took lot of responsibility and did a great job in making sure we travel as scheduled without any delays. Agent Sibin responded timely and made sure we have a solution to our problem. This shows they not only care about booking a ticket with them , but they do care about your whole trip. I will recommend Riya travels any time.

To reply to the posted previous review. Most airlines have a no change/cancelation policy on tickets. If you purchased an advance ticket I am positive it had penalties. I have questions about this situation I was a travel agent for 14 years. I dont know that I would take this review as correct. I say check out this agency yourself. I dont know this Agency I just was looking up agency a came across this comment.
