LA Fitness staff, I have held an account for the last 9 years (in between a couple of small breaks) – but all-in-all, 9 years (approximately). Tonight, I got to the gym (Keller, TX location) and I began my work out on the treadmill for a 5 minute workout. I then proceeded downstairs to do some abs. I was on the main floor in this little break away room (as I always do) and began my abs workout. About 20 seconds into the workout, this trainer came and stood at my feet, saying something to me – I had to stop and take out my headsets to listen to him. He told me to, “get up, I am going to begin training” in this space. I told him that I wouldn’t be there longer than a couple of minutes. He then rudely said that he was going to wait and his gesture and body posture was aggressive. And he just stood about 3 inches from my feet. (I could not carry on and finish my abs warmup). This was a TAUNT and an aggressive stance and claiming the space… VERY UN-Processional for someone to be aggressive in this manner. So, it angered me – very much so. This is the second time this has happened. Again: the area was not marked off. I have been to many of your LA Fitness locations and have never had such an issue and/or dis-regard for peoples’ space. First: He could have waited until I was done with the set Second: He could have asked me politely Thirdly: I am a long time customer, I have every right to be in a SPOT or on a machine or at a water fountain as anyone else – just because he is training someone, doesn’t mean he can take away others’ time or space… And Definitely doesn’t give him the right to come be Forceful/abrupt/AGRESSIVE and ask someone to move off of a machine or space. Fourth: They normally lock an area off with posts and black ropes when training is in session – I respect that. This was 100% open and free-game. If he had a training session coming up, he should have planned ahead – FIX HIS PROCESS – and his attitude. This really has made me extremely angry. I believe in treating others as they want to be treated. Like I said, this is the 2nd time in the last couple of months that this has happened. If this situation with Dustin is not rectified, I will be moving up the street to 24 hour fitness, and I will take 2 of my neighbors that go with me. Trainers and the people they are training should not get privilege or rights to just tell people to move when they want to.

1 star is too high a rating for this. Having come from background of 8 1/2 years in retail, this has been the worst customer service experience Ive ever been a part of. I was given false information regarding my wifes account (that they would refund the remaining amount) and a promise that was actually later denied (that they would refund the remaining amount on my wifes membership), and never followed up on. I signed up for my own membership on that promise. Now, I want them to at least refund the membership I signed up for on a false premise. I would call and ask for the manager. The person who answered the phone would ask me to recite my whole story, but be powerless to do anything about it. So I would talk with the sales rep, in which I have to recite the whole story again, then they would contact the manager. After calling about a dozen times - I have yet to speak to a manager - they never seem to be available or are just completely unwilling to speak with the customer directly. One time when I called, I recited my whole story and was put on hold and forgotten about - I was told the employee actually went to lunch after putting me on hold. Ive been told to "talk to this person" or "call this number" so many times its past ridiculous. Neither the corporate number or the branch has made right on their promise. **UPDATE**: After speaking with the General Manager, the response I got was basically that even though, before I signed any contract, I was promised a refund - they now are reneging on that promise and all they can tell me is "That promise isnt on the contract you signed". So evidently, sales can promise anything and not have to follow through with it. **UPDATE 2**: Corporate office was able to speak with a VP and finally they were able to issue a refund. Im thankful that the right thing was done, but because of this experience, the rating for the club stands at 1 star at best.

This gym has been an absolute nightmare! I went here because it was close to me. The childcare is terrible. I felt guilty leaving my kids in there. So I talked to a manager about the lack of adults to kids ratio. Nothing was done. Theres usually about 35-55 kids in there and 1-2 adults. & that includes infants just scattered across the floor getting injured. My 6 month old was scratched and bit by older kids. After complaining again nothing was done to improve it. I signed up for ONE month of personal training and I sat and talked to Daniel for over an hour explaining that I just wanted one month so I got the knowledge of how to work out. I signed a contract and little did I know he had scammed me into a 13 month contract without ever mentioning it. Dishonest, shady and just plain disgusting. To get out of this contract that I was tied down to was going to be "650$". The staff is absolutely rude. The people at the front desk are useless all they do is look at u like youre a murderer when u walk in/leave. Forget being greeted. (isnt that their purpose!?) One day I walked in checked in inside the "kids klub" like always & this guy goes "um, excuse me maam, u have to check in like everybody else here!" With attitude. Please, thank you and good customer service really do go a long ways. After that I was done. That same day my daughter was bit on the head. I will never ever recommend this place to anyone. Please dont bring your kids here. The last day I picked up my kids I sat and counted 46 kids/infants and only one adult was in there with them. That is absolutely insane. This gym is terrible. Im glad to be back at Keller Pointe! They are very friendly and family oriented! The staff actually plays with my kids, instead of texting and looking like they hate their life!

I went to change my home club to the keller TX location from the Grapevine location on the 28th. When I went into the club today, the 31st and I had the pleasure of meeting Sarah who works at the front desk. I scanned my badge and she proceeded to tell me that in order to enter the keller location I would have to pay 100$ or 5$ every time i enter the club. I explained that I was told by the keller OM that i was able to change my home club for only a 5$, one time charge which I payed on the 28th. Sarah then proceed to answer the phone and told me verbatim "to stand over there and you can make your decision" She answers the phone and deals with multiple customers before coming back to me. I then tell Sarah that I want to come back when her manager is around and speak with her before paying anymore fees. To late... Sarah tells me that she has already billed my account without my authorization. Never once did she apologize. She then states "so.... you might as well go workout because I have already charged you" OH AWESOME THANKS!! The reviews for this location are accurate, drive 5 minutes to the 24 hour fitness or fitness 2000 locations. As it turns out there is no 5$ fee or one time 100$ charge for transferring my gym location, they have incorrectly billed me. Corporate is aware.
