Hail damage to your vehicle is anything but fun. Luckily, I was referred to Collision Specialists by a friend whos car was also struck with hail damage. I soon understood why Collision Specialists was first on my friends recommendation list. Walking through the front door, I was immediately greeted by a friendly staff and fresh coffee; I knew my vehicle as well as myself were in good hands. Amongst this staff was a Mr. Ruben Sanchez, who not only aided me in analyzing the hail damage on my vehicle, but also aided me in creating a game plan for the hail damage repair. Ruben told me that the repairs would span over the course of about 5 business days. Though I was a bit uneasy of this at first, Ruben recommended that I look further into my insurance to see if my policy would allow for me to have a rental for the duration of these 5 days. To my surprise, my insurance allowed for me to have a rental! Throughout the 5 days of repair, Ruben constantly kept me updated with my cars status and before long I received a call saying that my car was up and ready to go. I am now anticipating the pick-up of my car later this afternoon and just wanted to spread my experience with Collision Specialists to everyone and anyone. Any body damage to your car? Go no where else other than Collision Specialists in McAllen, Texas. Anybody in particular who you should talk to? Ruben Sanchez Is he busy at the moment? Just wait in line for him, I promise you...his assistance will be worth the wait.

Insurance told me the car would be ready in 2 weeks. I didnt believe them. Collision Specialists said the car would be ready in 3 weeks. I told my wife to expect 4-5 weeks, because the storm affected so many of us. It has been over 10 weeks and I dont have the car back yet. They have told me each week for the past 3 weeks that the car would be ready by that Friday. how wrong. This week they made a point to call me on Monday and say it would be ready by Tue afternoon. Tue, I get a call saying they cant find a part. Now its Thursday and no contact. How these people keep customers is beyond me. What really gets me, is that we are neighbors. Their shop is right behind my house, they dont seem to care. I have called, the insurance has called, my lawyer has called, but whatever, they dont care. I would have pulled the car by now and taken it to another shop but I have a new baby at home and am focused on other things. A new baby that I had to take home from the hospital in a beat up old car with all the hail damage still on it because Collision specialists havent finished my car yet. That was over a month ago. still no car. Wife goes back to work on Monday. You think the car will be ready by then? doubtful.

Needless to say, I was very upset after having a fender bender with my truck I purchased just 3 months ago. I remembered at one late night Boy Scout meeting a fellow adult leader was wearing a Collision Specialist cap. Being this guy was pretty much an all around great person his association with this company meant good things. After some research and finally taking the truck in, the experience was simply enlighting. Talk about customer service, reasonable prices, and quality workmanship. These folks are above and beyond par. The moment you walk in you are treated with quality and when you leave with your vehicle, the work done on it is the best quality. Without exageration there is no other company that can come close to Collision Specialist. I didnt know a business of this caliber even existed in the Rio Grande Valley. You better believe I am recommending Collision Specialist to my family, friends, to everyone!

The BEST customer service is right here at Collision Specialists. I took my Prius in after getting rear ended, and from the beginning to end, I was informed of the whole process, and treated with the most respect.The owner Joe Cantu really goes out of his way to make sure his customers understand the process/options and are treated right. I hope my car doesnt need any more surgery, but if it does, I will definitely be returning to Collision Specialists. Also, I love when businesses have something to offer in the lobby, in this case, a popcorn machine, comfy couches and TV while you wait. Great location, amazing service and fair pricing, what more can you ask for? Thank you Collision Specialists.

Stay away from this place. My car was in their shop 3 times for a simple quarter panel paint. They painted it the wrong color, scratched my front bumper, failed to paint a portion of the quarter panel and that was the first time it was in. Took it back had it repainted and they failed to paint all of the areas where they applied the wrong color. They also Messed up my trunk and had to fix that because they caused it to bow up on the right side. Over spray everywhere, trunk interior not pieced back together, gas cap full of paint, and to top it off they SCRATCHED the hell out of the tint on my driver door. I wouldnt recommend this shop to anybody, save yourself the headaches and armature work.

Had vehicle for over one month, which wasnt the shops fault, but after insurance approved fixes, truck still pulls, has horrible sounds and grinding. I would figure after a month the truck would have been pristine. I wouldnt recommend for quality service. 2 star rating given because they are friendly, but beyond that unimpressive. . Update to previous review- after the writing of this review I was contacted by the owner, after some discussion the truck was brought back. The problem took 2 additional visits to repair my vehicle. Overall, the owner and staff took the time to satisfy the customer, which lead to my change in overall rating.

My experience with Collision Specialists has been amazing. Mr. Cantu is very warm and professional. Stephanie at the reception desk is very accommodating. They even arranged for my car rental. The time frame for the repair was reasonable considering the damage sustained by my vehicle. And when I got my 4Runner back, it was spotless, all the damage has been taken care of, and the detailing was exceptional. I cant say anything but compliments for Mr. Cantu and his staff. I would highly recommend Collision Specialists. Getting into an accident can be stressful, but Mr. Cantu made it look like the repair was a breeze. Two thumbs up!!!

From the minute we walked in, Mr. Cantu greeted us with a smile. I thought having to deal with the at faults insurance company was going to be a hassle, but Mr.Cantu goes above and beyond to make this experience a positive one. There at Collision Specialists they helped me with all the insurance paper work since they had dealt with that insurance company before. The rental car process was a breeze with the help of them. Then when i finally went to go pick up my car, i was amazed at what an awesome job they did, my Buick looked almost like new! Such a great company and a pleasure to do business with. Highly recommend!
