Caring Mom

Do not take your children to CN. My children attended for several months and I regret it so much. Some of the teachers are very loving and caring, but other just don’t care about the children there, and treat them in a horrible way. My 14 month old had a huge blue bump on his head and no one could tell me how he got it or when. A few days later, he had a big red mark on his belly and adult finger marks on his torso. The following day he had one of the worst diaper rashes I have ever seen (he was not changed for 3.5 hours twice during the same day even though he had pooped). When I went to talk to the director (Jeannie) she explained to me that it is impossible for them to watch all the kids because they are understaffed and so they keep moving kids around to different classrooms without taking into account their age/behavior. I expressed to her my concerns and told her I did not feel comfortable leaving my children there anymore, and the solution she gave me was to dis-enroll my children from school. When I went to withdraw my children from the school, I got nothing but a horrible attitude from her and from the assistant director. Other parents have talked to me as they have also found unexplained marks/bruises on their kids. I had never thought that I would experience something so horrible so please do not go to this place. There are plenty of options around the area that are the same price. Also, when reading positive feedback regarding this daycare, I just want you to be aware that the school offered parents $10 off their tuition if they provided positive feedback, so I would not trust anything positive posted within the past couple of months.

As I have toured this place many times and had family memberS here. This place used to be amazing!!!! It was Childrens Lighthouse and now it has gone over to childcare Network. This is the most unprofessional place that I have been. They have all different ages in different classrooms and that is a code of conduct all together for me. You look in windows and see newborn babies on the floor and big babies walking and falling all over them. There are huge kids walking over tiny babies, i have gone in a classroom and actually held a baby for the teachers because they were talking and letting this kid scream! One another note, My friend brought her daughter here for a couple of weeks top. Early in the morning, the teachers gather at the front and have all these babies in a buggy while they are on their phones. The last thing you want to do is come in a room with screaming kids and the teacher tell you she doesnt know whats wrong with your kid. Yes its true Jeanie is a sweet lady, but she kind of just goes with the flow. This place needs someone to actually come in and take CONTROL because right now they are all over the place. There is always a different teacher in the room and some of them will flat out tell you that they just dont care. I wouldnt take my child here if they cannot verbally tell me whats going on. DONT GO OFF OF THE REVIEWS, CHECK IT OUT!

We have been going here for almost two years. The decision to enroll my child at any daycare was a very difficult and scary decision for me. We were going from grandma watching him for the first two years of life to complete strangers. After touring about 10 different locations my husband and I felt most comfortable with this school. The things that were more appealing verses other schools were the sizes of rooms, security, and different activities offered.Some of the schools we visited had tiny rooms. I couldnt imagine my child being crammed in a tiny room with 20 other children all day. As far as security, the cameras and passcode were a plus. As for activities, the school offers plenty. The first two weeks were very difficult I think more for me verses my child. However, the staff was so nice and supportive through the entire process. I cant express how thankful I am for the staff. After a month I started to see a huge difference in my child. He was learning so much as far as numbers, letters, colors, months, and much more. What was even more evident was his personality had changed. He went in as a really shy child and I noticed he was less shy and more confident. He also loved and still loves going everyday. I feel we made the right decision with sending him to this school.

My daughter has attended this daycare since she was 3 months old and she currently is 13 months of age. Being a health care provider, I am even more particular about the care of my child. I have appreciated all the staff at this location. They have helped me and my husband continute to foster good behaviors and self soothing skills for my daughter. Her expressions make it clear how she loves the staff. She is taken well care of and is loved. As I read other reviews I understand everyone will have different exspectations and experiences. For example, I dont want my daughter to be picked up every time she cries. For me, I want her to be able to learn how to self sooth to some extent within reason. The staff work very well with her and I love seeing her play with them and the other children. I feel this is one reason why my daughter is most of the time such a joy to take anywhere and do anything with. Thanks to each of you for being apart of the growth of my beautiful, happy girl!!! After being at home with my babies going back to work was a very difficult decision. One of my babies has a very complex medical history and I needed to make sure she was going to be in excellent hands. I went to several daycares but the instant I walked into this school I knew this was it! The search was over! They changed owners but they kept everyone in their staff and thats extremely important to me. Now were going on our 2nd year with Ms. Jeannie and her team and I look forward to many more! I couldnt think of a better crew to help me raise my children. Because thats what it is, they spent so much time at school theyre technically being raised there. Maybe not ideal but it is what is needed in order for us to be able to work. These gals not only educate but they show love, care and compassion to each one of my babies! ❤️

Child of God

I am very happy with the choice I made when choosing this school for my 3 children. They come home happy and ready to go back the next day. The teachers are warm, friendly and genuinely care about my children. Mrs. Jeanie the Director has been there many years and the staff have been there equally as long and are always very nice. I toured EVERY childcare center in McKinney before making my choice. I felt safe when I walked in, my children were not hiding behind my legs wanting to leave. They were invited by the teachers in the classroom to participate in the art the class was doing which made me very happy. I thank God that my children are happy and healthy and enjoy themselves while I am away from them. I would recommend this school to anyone who needs affordable care and great service.
